Was waiting for my kids to finish at the photo store and I was hungry. Saw John's Dei across the street and ordered a ham, Swiss, turkey sandwich with lettuce tomato and Mayo. Usually, a lot of places mess up on this simple sandwich but not John's deli. Good portion of meats for the price. Guy working behind counter very friendly and nice. Great neighborhood spot.

John's Deli has been a fixture in Windsor Terrace for more years that I can remember. I stopped in to grab a sandwich and I was disappointed. I ordered an Italian Combo, and I took it to go. This was the classic case of quantity, not quality. There was nothing remarkable about it, it had way too many roasted peppers, and way too much vinegar. I sorry, but I will not be back!

Cozy spot with consistently delicious sandwiches!

Friendly staff. Great food. Egg sandwiches come with two eggs. Coffee has a wide variety of milk options. Matt and Nick were of great help.

Windsor Terrace peeps, you can breathe a sigh of relief. There's another option out there! Conveniently located next to the Ft. Hamilton subway stop too. This convenience store has just come under new management (which I only report because there's a giant sticker on the window that says so). So, whatever that means. They have another location in Bay Ridge. For being such a small deli, it's not too shabby, and actually much bigger and cleaner than the others nearby. Their menu boasts a lot of options. Breakfast (omelettes, french toast, sandwiches), Cold sandwiches, Hot sandwiches, Burgers, specialty sandwiches, platters . . . you name it! Their hero sandwiches are HUGE. I'm talking the size of my face huge. Their breakfast sandwiches have helped me through some rough mornings, if you know what I mean. And I think you do. They also have a lot of good beer options. So now I can come home from work and celebrate properly.* They're open 7 days a week, 7 am to 9 pm. There's an ATM that has a charge of $1.75. Free delivery with a minimum $12.00 order. And apparently they do a lot of catering too. It's a nice option for those of us in Windsor Terrace squalor (just kidding . . . mostly). __________ * By which I mean passing out and forgetting the past 9 hours of failure.

OK, so I've been visiting these guys for almost 1 year now. I can't say this about many places: I visit John's at least once a week. I love it. I'm upping my stars to 5 because these guys deserve it. The service is consistent, the place is always spotless, and they always have everything I need in stock and at very reasonable prices. The owners at Blonde's, the other deli around the corner, stand outside their store and smoke cigarettes every time I walk by. I see them when I get off the subway after work every day. Maybe it's just their designated smoking time? Maybe they do it all day long. One more reason to visit John's over that place.

A friendly, family-owned deli. Right on the way to or from the subway. A must go-to place for the neighborhood.

I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
