We contacted customer service, and they did nothing. There are lots of other companies in the Blue Mountains. Use one of them instead.

Other options including the sky rail were $90+. I honestly think this tour was the best way to see Blue Mountains as the park is massive. There's no way you can do it walking around on your own. I truly believe that tour guides can make or break your trip. We had the opportunity to ride with Jimmy most of our day. He's truly the most genuine and sweetest tour guides I've ever met. Not to mention he's super knowledgeable and is funny without being cheesy. He told us the ins and outs of each stop giving us advice and recommendations. You'll be given a map with each stop clearly labeled with photos and descriptions. Don't lose this as it also has the timetable for bus pick ups. Generally there will be a bus pick-up every half hour. Also they're always on time if not a bit early! If they're early they'll wait for the appropriate time to continue. Tip: If you do 15-16 and do the hike to Honeymoon Bridge and Three Sisters DO NOT walk all the way down the Grand Stairs (900 steps). We walked all the way down and ended up having to walk all the way back up... I suppose we got our exercise in for the day. Once you see the platform you walk back to Echo Point.

The staff sat us at a lovely area of couches and made sure that anyone with any allergies or preferences were taken care of. More sweet than savory in the selection but the food was delicious as was the tea. Nice selection of different teas you can choose from while enjoying the company of those with you. Afterwards we walked down to the Echo Point Lookout and viewed the three sisters rocks before walking back. A wonderful thing to do after a heavy high tea.

It was good enough, just didn't fit the period of the building .... must have been the last renovation .... in the 70's. It had lots of rooms and doors leading to all sorts of nooks. There were a few people around but spread out leaving it without any real atmosphere. I would like to come back one day ..... but may leave it alittle while. We took the cable to the bottom of the canyon, walked the longer path of the boardwalk, then got on the Federal Pass to the Giant Staircase. The trail is well maintained. As it rained our whole time there, the trail had only a few puddles despite all the water. It's not very difficult until the staircase. We went up the staircase, and given the conditions, I'm very glad we were going that direction. The steps and railings can get slippery in the rain and some of the rock formed steps are not as level as I'd like them, so going up felt safer. We walked along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk to get to the Scenic World SkyTram to get back to the main building. Unfortunately, anything that was over 30 yards in front of us was a sea of fog. We still enjoyed the experience. For travel, we took the train from Sydney, walked to Scenic World from the train station and took the bus back to the train station. Very easy to figure out.

We did stop to look at the "Three Sisters Mountain " range before coming here. I found Scenic World to be a huge tourist trap. It's wall to wall people and the rides require long waits for mediocre rides. The rides are short and boring. Since I was so bored I went to the little restaurant outside and got a small latte and bag of chips. It was $16 AUD which seemed like another sign of a tourist trap. I would have rather spent more time at the zoo or taking a short hike. Definitely skip this if your time in Sydney is limited.

There are two main private trolley companies in Katoomba that will take guests to various points in…read morethe Blue Mountains area beyond the point where the public transit system ends at Echo Point. This was the only one offering a one-day pass vs. a minimum of 3 days with the other company. The cost at $25 per person ASD seemed a little steep, but we didn't have enough time to walk between all of the points we wanted to see, and so bought tickets. The buses run on time, and the drivers are friendly and give good information about the area. The only downside is that the majority of the stops are at resorts and stores rather than natural points of interest. This is fully disclosed in their brochure and on their website, so it was not a surprise! There are discounts at some local businesses that come with the trolley pass, and you can also combine the trolley with other activities such as the a gondola ride; so it is definitely possible to make this a good deal! In the end, we were pleased with being able to get to Leura Cascades without a long walk - but the $75 price tag for the three of us was a bit high given that was all we were doing beyond public transit. My suggestion would be to allow 2 days to explore the park and use public transit for one day to explore Echo Point and the surrounding area, and then use the trolley the second day to get to a few other points beyond the public transit area, and perhaps take advantage of some of the discounts!

When I got there, there was a queue, but they were mostly for the Blue Mountains tour so I was lucky to have noticed Darrell (sp?) was inquiring if anyone had booked a Cave tour before he was about to head out the door. Darrell was the bus driver and turns out there were only 5 of us (in a bus capacity of 30+ people) who were going. =) [I am keeping my review focused on Blue Mountains Trolley Tours service, who provided us the transport and tickets. The Jenolan Cave tour itself was led by another entity and so I will withhold that review from here.] Darrell was great. I'm not much of a talker, but the banter he kept going with the 2 couples up front kept the ride to the caves easy-going, laid back and at times, quite funny. He did provide "Informative commentary and scenic stop at Govetts Leap Lookout, Blackheath" as the description read, and he got us to the caves in good time. After he retrieved our tickets for us, he gave us the down-low on how we should approach our day there (since not all of us were going on the same tour) and told us we'd need to be going back approx 3:10pm. With a few backpackers in tow, we were out of there by 3:15pm and, despite having to pull over for a random but mandatory sobriety test on the way, we got back to Katoomba sooner than expected (around 4:20pm).

What struck me immediately is the local swamp wallabies that coexist with the visitors and rangers. Sightings on the day included kookaburras, various birds and reptiles. It is the only place in the Ku-ring-gai Chase where you can camp. Being part of a national park, ongoing conservation and preservation is by way of entrance fees ($3 per head), which is separate to camping fees. Restrictions applies to this beautiful place i.e. fires. The campsite is well maintained and very clean. Plenty of hiking opportunities for those who are keen as it is surrounded by hills and mountains There is a body of water that is safe for some water sports. Bbq facilities is also available which we took advantage of. Beechwood Cottage is a historical property which is available to hire for functions and events. This place is great if you want to get away for the weekends with or without the kids. It overlooks Pittwater and is just a beautiful place to hang and chill.

It's not a pristine sand beach, more like sand based mud, but has nice calm clear water on the back harbour side. The place has lots of space to picnic and relax. Everything is clean. And the kids get to run after the wallaby(ies) when they hop by. We went in by boat, which is a great way to arrive. There are lots of tent campers, most of which seemed to arrive and bring their gear in by boat. Several ferries service the area.

What is even better about this place is that there is a bus that takes you from the railway station to the entrance to the park, so you don't actually have to walk all that far. However, the catch is that the bus doesn't come all that often. I'll have to come back, even if it is just to walk into the valley, and out again.

Receptionist was very helpful and patient while helping me check in, I had a handful of questions and she was able to answer them all very nicely. She upgraded me to a room with a complimentary balcony even though I literally booked the room 10 mins before I showed up, she even remembered my name when I ran into her in the lobby again the next day, and greeted me very politely. Made me feel very welcomed. They have a counter full of useful tourist information, providing places to go, and things to do, perfect for self traveling tourists/visitors. Safety feature: (can also be a hassle, but I would rather be safe than sorry), in order to go up to guest suites, you need to swipe your room key to use the elevator. Decent sized room, very clean & neat. Chair and table for relaxation on the patio ready for you already, decent sized bathroom, with tub and shower. The only thing that bothered me resulting in -1 star is the AC unit in the room, when it starts operating its pretty loud and in the middle of the night, can sound like someone is entering the room, and also, it seems to be always idling with hot air blowing out. Good place, probably will return for future visits.
