I first used them for my sister's 50th bday on 5/29/25. I had the choice to have the basket delivered on 5/27, 5/28 or 5/29. I picked her actual birthday and to my surprise, it was delivered on 5/30 AFTER her bday. When I called to complain, they told me to take it up with UPS, that they weren't responsible!!!! I decided to give them another try and ordered a basket for my BFF 60th bday on 6/28/25. It arrived on her bday but all the chocolates WERE MELTED. Seriously? I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the gift of cookies. I specifically did not want a gift that had the cookies individually wrapped! I specifically asked the customer service rep and they said they were not. The description said they were not individually wrapped (as like other companies will note that on the description). So I will NEVER buy another thing from you. This was a first-time purchase. Also the shipping was ridiculously way over-priced and bordering on gouging. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT order from this business! For a while I thought they were scammers. Placed my order on a small, cramped order form. Every time I proceeded to check out, my information would disappear. Finally, placed my order. Two days later, gift never arrived. Called company at midnight trying to do another online order. Ordered a 150 gift basket with champagne for my daughter's birthday. by the time I checked out, there were 90 of addtional charges --$7.99 for signature required, $24 for next day delivery, etc. The good part was they shipped within an hour and provided tracking. The bad part was that the delivery service didn't call or email my daughter to time delivery. So the package didn't get delivered on her birthday and I've been on hold with them for over 10 minutes and counting. Only reason I gave one star is because it won't let me give no stars. The address got screwed up (accidents happen) but they said they delivered it. When delivery get delivered on December 23rd. I phoned Gourmet Gifts. But wasn't able to talk to anyone until the new year. When I did they said I needed to get a hold of Canpar 3 hours later was informed it was a Gourmet Gift issue as the tracking number I had wasn't valid ( not activated) After numerous calls it was delivered on January 10th Gourmet Gifts then inform me that if they get a credit from Canpar. I am on the mailing list and got an email to use the code LOVEMOM for 15% off. Same message in each email written very large. I am adept at online shopping but tried the code repeatedly and it won't work. When I finally got through to customer service, they acted like they knew nothing about it then finally tried the code I gave them from their end and said it is a 10% promo code. First, that wouldn't help me because the code doesn't work at all. Second my emails clearly says the discount is 15%. I offered to send my email to them, but they didn't seem interested. They said I have to wait until next week to reach someone about this (so, no weekend help). I ordered easter baskets for my son and his girlfriend to be delivered the Friday before easter. I ordered these a good 3 weeks prior to that date. They were not delivered until the Monday AFTER Easter! Very disappointing. Since they were closed for the easter holiday, I send an email through their website to customer service with a read-receipt. I was notified this morning that the email was deleted without being read! Horrible customer service. I did call their phone number and talked to a helpful representative who refunded my shipping charges as per their online policy. read more

I wish I had read the Yelp reviews first! I spent $104+ on Gourmet Gift Baskets (business located in Exeter, NH) for a dear friend, using her exact and correct address. My friend lives in a large condo complex in Century City (Los Angeles). The basket was supposed to arrive yesterday. I called the company as it was not delivered. They said the address was incorrect so UPS didn't deliver it. They charged me for their mistake. I called my credit card company and put in a dispute and I know my company will take the charge off of my card. If they couldn't find the address, the company could have contacted me. i ordered WELL ahead of time (02/08/2025) to ensure the snack box I picked would be delivered to my husband at work on Valentine's Day. I paid $15.99 in shipping fees and picked the date in accordance with their instructions. I also spoke with CS over the phone to make sure they indicated that the delivery address is a business, the CS rep told me UPS takes this into account and that those deliveries typically happen before 9am. Okay, so far so good. I got an email 02/10 that my gift had shipped. I checked on the tracking information this morning and my gift still hasn't left Illinois (???) and it's now scheduled for delivery 02/17. The business isn't even open on President's Day, it's not Valentine's Day, and now my surprise which was guaranteed to arrive on the chosen date is completely ruined. Now I have to give my husband a lame excuse about Gourmet Gift Baskets being ass, not following through on their promises, and apparently giving zero f*cks (considering it's been 20 minutes and I'm still on hold with CS). The basket was good but the service was not.  I ordered on the 21st to make sure it did not get there too early-they guaranteed 2-day shipping.  When I put the correct address into their system it kept auto-correcting to the building where the complex manager's office was.  I was sending my basket to a large apt complex in Hollywood with different buildings and each building had a slightly different address.  Their system auto-corrected every time I put the correct address in, and finally, I thought it stuck.  Well, UPS, had the wrong address-the system kept putting the admin building number in where the actual office was. The address was going to the wrong building in the complex and they could not deliver they said. It was not rocket science, the UPS delivery person could have gone to the office and asked for the correct building but they chose to call it "wrong address, will delay shipping". I believe they used this as an excuse not to have to deliver as I am sure they were swamped.  They finally figured out what the problem was early afternoon, with several hours to still deliver the basket but they just callously decided to deliver after Christmas.  I was so upset and no one at UPS would help and gourmet gift baskets was closed for the holiday on the 24th.  You would think in the Christmas rush they would have someone there to help with these types of issues, they certainly charge enough.   It cost me 175 dollars to send a 99-dollar gift basket with no refund or apology.  They kept saying they could not control ups and it was my mistake.  NO...it was not.  Their system kept transposing the numbers for the address.  I tried to call someone for help while I was ordering it but no one answered during my order process. I left a message on the day I DID order it and someone called back later in the day but they could not check or fix the address or correct it as the package had already shipped out.  I am very dissatisfied and do NOT recommend this company.  Christmas gifting was ruined as my son was having a party in his new place and no gift basket.  Big whoop it arrived on the 25th, the party was over.  I DO NOT recommend this company and I have not liked UPS service for years.  I told the lady on the phone when they called back on the day that I ordered it that I preferred to use USPS but that option was not available and she kept telling me, " we are not having any issues with delivery, if anything packages are getting there too early".  Nope, not so.  Go elsewhere to a company that actually cares.  They should double-check the addresses in my opinion especially when they have a system that overrides your input. read more

Don't waste your money. For $35 you get the equivalent to about $5 worth of food that you could buy in Walmart. Then you have to pay over $10 to ship and and pay additional postage to return it. Skip this, save your money, do it yourself or just look elsewhere! P.S. The company has offered to pay back 50% of the price of the basket and told me to keep it.
