Combo #2 - two entrees & one app served with rice or Nan Bread

This is food at the food court. Food was good. Great price for combo especially how it comes with one appetizer.

The best panner kathi roll in New England. The texture and the spices on the paneer filling with the soft and fresh naan bread makes this dish a winner. This review is solely based on kathi roll as We have not tried anything else. Must try.

Gulab jamun, catered at a wedding
    Tawfeeq K.

First off, this review is for their catering offerings, not the brick-and-mortar restaurant, which I have not been to. I had the pleasure of tasting Gourmet India at my cousin's wedding. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. As a Desi, myself, my standards are high, so my default rating for any South Asian restaurant on this hemisphere is zero stars. Many places fall short of that, even. Yes, I'm harsh. Yet, Gourmet India's buffet food was fantastic, and compelled me to get up for a second helping. Nearly everyone raved about the food. I thought the appetizers were pretty good, though I generally don't like South Asian appetizers. Even the salad (which was deceptively spicy) was good. Other standard fare was exceptional. Examples include almost all of their chicken dishes. I especially enjoyed their chicken dopiaza and malai chicken. Their vegetable dishes were also excellent, such as the bhindi (okra), the malai kofta, and their daal makhani (lentils in butter-based sauce). I ate enough where I didn't save space for dessert. I actually have a picture of the gulab jamun, because all the other food I devoured too quickly to capture. If you are in the Boston area, and need a South Asian caterer, I would recommend Gourmet India.

Tandoori Chicken Mess. Way too spicy and over cooked. Very unappealing too.

We put our Tandoori Chicken in the trash. Ate the Nan Bread and then got pizza. Covered in spices inside and out. Over cooked, dried out.

Excellent food in a food court! The staff can some times be rude or have you waiting but most of the time they are friendly and quick. The food is always hot and delicious! My favorites are chicken korma and a North Indian dumpling sauce ( that's no the real name I just can't remember but it is a yellow yogurt based sauce with onion dumplings.) or a chicken Kathy roll. Which is chicken curry and veggies wrapped up in a naan. I normally get naan which is always baked to order. They have a few different naan. Garlic naan is my favorite of them all. The portions look small but truly is plenty to fill one person. They also have a variety of both vegetarian and meat options along with teas and lassie. I enjoy this place very much. If I'm in the mood for something warm and I'm at the mall, this is where I go. I give the four starts because there have been times where their servers were rude to me or unfriendly, but the food it good!

    Tikki Chaat - Amazing
    Aaron K.

Gourmet India is a diamond in the rough, right in the middle of burlington mall's food court (one of the best mall food courts anywhere!). The value is incredible, and the food is really good. We came during a Saturday for lunch and lucky us they have a more authentic special menu for weekends only. There were tons and tons of Indian customers going here on Saturday. We opted for the Tikki chaat which was fried potato patties topped with all sorts of great toppings (just say yes to everything). At only $6.95 this was enough for a meal and it was a great dish. We also shared a 2 entree combo for $7.95. This came with a large freshly baked naan. You can see the guy making the naan behind the counter! The Palak Paneer was good and the chicken korma very good, with fall apart tender chicken. The real gems are definitely the chaat and weekend specials, try at least one! We'll definitely be back, weekend or otherwise to try more of the great food here. At under 20$ for a meal for 2, it's a real steal.

Best Indian food outside of Boston, definitely best quality food in the mall. The chicken is cooked just right.

The ambiance sets the tone as soon as you walk in, vibrant decor with a stylish bar. The service is consistently excellent. The menu is where Tashan really shines. They take familiar Indian flavors and elevate them with a creative twist. The Punjabi staples like chole, chicken tikka, and daal makhni are done exceptionally well, striking that perfect balance between authenticity and refinement. The cocktail menu deserves a special mention. The aam mojito was refreshing and vibrant with mango and mint; the sharabi samundar was tropical and fun. For dessert, the Rajasthani Ghevar was a highlight; it was honeycomb-textured, and perfectly paired with a rich rabdi and pistachios. Tashan delivers a polished, yet approachable, take on modern Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Pricey but excellent Indian food in the north Boston suburbs…read more Stopped by last week with a dear cousin who lives and works in the area. We were welcomed warmly and seated, then ordered Nimbu soda ($9 each) while we caught up on life. We decided to share a vegetarian meal family style (she is my cousin, after all!) and ordered roomali roti ($9), dal makhani ($15), and a fusion dish called paneer da anda masala ($25), which was strongly recommended by our server. Food arrived quickly and was a feast to both our eyes and palate! We polished it off - especially enjoying the unusual paneer entrée. I was in the mood for dessert as we were chatting happily and I wanted to linger a bit longer. The server steered us right again - towards Rajastani ghevar ($11) - a honeycomb disc with ghee, Rabdi, and pistachio. It was divine! Total bill after tax and tip was $111. Happy to return.
