From the moment we began walking up to the establishment we were greeted with the hostess who met us at the door and held it open. We sat ourselves at the bar and were provided menus. The bartender immediately greeted us followed by explaining the menu thoroughly. The services were top notch! He placed our orders and our food took no time to arrive in front of us. I am 19 years old and was completely sober, I drove myself there and did not drink at all. Without any warning, a female bartender came up to me yelling and accusing me of drinking out of my sister's drink. I calmly denied it and asked her to check the security cameras because I knew I hadn't done anything wrong. Instead of verifying the situation, she continued screaming at me and causing a huge scene in front of the entire bar. While she was yelling at me, I became extremely anxious and stuttered slightly while trying to defend myself. She then mocked my stutter and used it as "proof" to accuse me of being drunk. This was mortifying and humiliating, especially since it happened in front of my friends and other customers. I was stuttering because I was being publicly embarrassed and pressured, not because I was intoxicated. The situation escalated further when she put her hands on me and pushed me toward the door, completely unprovoked. I remained calm throughout the interaction. After multiple people, including my friends, told her she should have checked the cameras first, she walked away and went back behind the bar without apologizing. Being falsely accused is bad enough, but being yelled at, mocked for a speech issue, and physically pushed by staff is completely unacceptable. This could have been avoided if she had taken a moment to verify the facts instead of escalating the situation.
