I stoped after passing it many times on my way to work meetings. I'm glad I stopped for lunch. The restaurant itself is really vibrant and they have a lovely bar located at the front. I ordered my food to go and staff was super friendly and fast. The prices were excellent and so was the salsa. I ordered the carne asada steak. Cheesy steak and onions that you could put in a corn of flour tortilla...it comes with rice. Charro beans, guac and pico. Also to go order cane with chips and salsa for free. Best flour taquitos ANYWHERE! Hear me out. Most people don't think to order taquitos for dinner but their chicken flour taquitos are amazingly good. All the food is great. I've had many menu items. We've eaten here several times now and it's just ok. I haven't found an entree that I just have to have. With so many other options for Mexican in the area, it's not on the top of my list. I will say the service and people working here are fabulous. They are the reason we keep coming back and will continue. This week we went to dinner and they were hosting a quinceañera near our table. That was fun to watch, but the MC was so loud that it was very difficult to chat with my husband sitting right across from me. The food was just ok. Such a great spot for basic Mexican food. We ordered drinks which tasted great and had beautiful presentation. The sangria and margarita frozen swirl was a highlight, but we also liked the ranch water for something less sweet. As for food, I ordered a combo which I'd definitely recommend doing. I got to try a sampling of many things on the menu and especially enjoyed my taco. Everything here very reasonably priced and the portions are more than enough to fill you up. We wanted to support the servers from Hacienda los Palomas because we absolutely adore them! So our family finally made the trip over there this weekend. We love the salsa! The wait staff was just as amazing as they always were! However, no one at our table could figure out what the 'green sauce' was? Is it avocado with sour cream or green tomatoes with whipped cream? It was bland and not very appetizing. We ordered Tacos Al Carbon, Beef Fajitas Enchiladas and #3 * Beef Fajitas Taco Dinner Combo plate However, we don't know why, not all of our fajitas were made with skirt steak? They had a mix of something like chuck roast?? Chuck roast with meat tenderizer and fajita seasonings. Complete let down!! It was my first time visiting, and we decided to sit at the bar. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in, and we were treated to complimentary chips and salsa, along with two small plates featuring a few chips topped with beans and queso. The frozen margaritas during happy hour were bursting with flavor and were perfectly balanced, not too sweet at all. Los Jarritos just opened in the old location of Blue Agave. It seems like this particular spot hasent had much luck with staying in business. Stopped by last night about 830pm and must say I was impressed. Started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The red had a bit of spice to it but the green was mild and tasted the best. Now the drink menu! Tons of different margaritas to choose from. I went with the flight to try 4 of them. You can pick out what 4 you want. Pretty standard Rita's nothing really blew me away but they still tasted good. Food menu had a lot of options. The half order of Papa nachos were the perfect size for myself and they were delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is large with many TV's playing sports. I would Deff go back and try them again since they are right around the corner from me. read more

Very disappointing and concerning experience. I am leaving this review to warn others. After eating at Los Jarritos, I experienced serious stomach issues, and even 7 months later, I still have problems whenever I eat there. This was not a one-time incident, which makes it even more concerning. The food quality and overall hygiene are questionable. Something was clearly wrong, and it has affected my health long-term. When you go out to eat, you expect food to be prepared safely and responsibly, and that was not the case here. I would strongly recommend that management review their food handling, cleanliness, and quality control. As a customer, this was a very unpleasant and stressful experience that I would never want to go through again. I personally will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who values their health. read more

Very disappointing that the new ownership couldn't put out better food. The salsas were not good and they cannot make a tortillas. The first batch of flour tortillas came to the table as flat raw dough. Then they brought more tortillas that were crumbling like crackers. The kids food was just fifties frozen foods, which isn't uncommon for these local Tex-Mex restaurants, however the quality was extremely low. The drinks weren't bad but the food wasn't worth us going back for at all. Too many Tex-Mex restaurants around the area to choose from, so they'll have to get a whole lot better, otherwise they'll be closing like the previous. read more

This place is great. It's become one of our favorite places to go. It's part of what we call our "regular rotation" in Kingwood. The food is delicious and the staff is amazing. You have the same great staff almost every time you go and everybody is so friendly and nice. The drinks are delicious. The managers are on site every day the remodel they did when they opened is absolutely gorgeous, I love the atmosphere extremely clean and nice and we've never had a bad meal. We're so happy that Los Cerritos is working out in this location and we hope it stays open for many many many years to come. read more

We've read the many reviews about Los Jarritos so decided to try them out tonight. Very friendly and attentive staff greeted us, showed us to our table and took our drink orders. The house margarita was pretty good. Both of us had a version of steak fajitas and were impressed. Very tender and flavorful. Sometimes when you order Al carbon or a burrito the steak is overcooked and dry. Not here! It wasn't crowded yet but there were plenty of waitstaff to handle any crowd. The owner stopped by to check on us and kept making the rounds. For a quality meal this is a great place to stop. We'll be back!! read more

My husband and I went during lunch on Saturday to check out the newest restaurant in this location and it was great! First, they have a lunch specials menu on Saturday, which is rare to find, so that was a pleasant surprise! My husband had a #2: beef taco, two beef enchiladas, guacamole salad, beans and rice. He said it was delicious! I had a chili relleno with beans and rice. It was delicious as well...win, win!! In addition to chips and salsa we each received a complimentary little appetizer of beans and white queso and tortilla chips...never had that before in any restaurant! I ordered an additional spicy salsa and that was delicious as well! My husband had a tres leches cake which he said was very good. Service was good and attentive. Our first time at this joint and the food was piping hot, delicious, and tender. We went with one of the owners recommendation, the mixed grill fajitas with shrimp and by far one of the best meals we have had in the saturated mexican food establishments in the Kingwood area. The margaritas are good, salsa is fresh and tasty with fresh chips to satisfy anyone's taste buds. Enjoyed the ambience and music making it an overall excellent dining experience. The atmosphere and decor are very welcoming and classy not tacky, to way their food is presented on the plates, to their customer service, smiling faces and great attitude!!! The House margarita is my FAV!!! Everything comes out very quickly, hot and fresh! They've only been open a few months now and I've seen some bad reviews of when they first opened, just like any small business they need some time to get on their feet and get things going correctly. Being that Mexican food is my absolute favorite food, we checked out the new Los Jarritos Mexican Grill on Lake Houston Pkwy this weekend. Having previously read the mixed reviews we were cautiously hopeful; but unfortunately the unfavorable reviews regarding the fajitas were correct. We had chicken fajitas which were disappointing. The chicken meat was more like pressed chicken meat that had a spongy like texture. Definitely not like good chicken fajitas should be. Also, instead of a wedge of lime to squeeze onto the fajitas, there was a slice of lemon (not the same). However that being said, everything else was good including the margarita. Hopefully they will read the reviews and improve their fajitas because most folks in Texas know what good Mexican food should taste like. read more
