Five minutes of web research disclosed dozens of others whose drug screening missed the Butrans, and a study by the US NIH stating that only 44.7% tests were correct! Now I've found that reviews of his practice are 5 to 1 against him, most finding him arrogant, without compassion, and indifferent. I'd have to add ignorant to the other descriptive terms now that he's ejected me to the curb, to face opioid withdrawal cold turkey, after decades of opioid prescriptions. I, as several others that I know of, had to go to the ER after 'treatment' by him, spent almost a week there, and he refused to visit, right across the street from his office. I later learned that he has NO affiliations & no authorization with that hospital, which is counter to his information posted on many of the reference pages where he is listed. They didnt believe me. I had Anthem call Dr. Mahon's office and tell them that the visit would be covered 100%, and they still told Anthem that they didn't believe them. They told me that if insurance paid the bill, they would reimburse us. Insurance paid 100% of the bill 6 weeks ago, and still no refund. Now I'm being forced to call them and deal with these rude and inconsiderate people. It really is too bad that Dr. Mahon is great at what he does, but has a staff that pushes people away. Sorry Dr. Mahon, but there is too much competition out there. Your office staff is appalling!
