I'm extremely angry, disappointed, and heartbroken over my experience with Anna's Alterations. I…read moredropped off my wedding dress on April 22 with two different promised completion date that came and went -- it wasn't ready until June 26, more than two months later. One of the most frustrating parts is that I specifically asked to have the scraps from my dress returned because I wanted to have a shirt made. I followed up with a message on Facebook asking about them -- not only did she ignore me, she blocked me. When I went back to the shop to ask in person, she claimed "you have to tell me when you drop it off." I did tell her, and she still threw them away. I picked up the dress on June 27, and after paying $325, it still doesn't fit correctly. The top is loose in the bust and falls off my shoulders. When I pointed it out, she brushed it off and said, "It's fine, just use some double-sided tape." This was my wedding dress, and I trusted her with something incredibly important and personal. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and out a lot of money. I would never recommend Anna's Alterations -- especially not to any bride.

I took a completely sequined dress to Sarah to be altered for a wedding. The dress was very long…read moreand large at the top, and I was worried that sequins/beading would fall apart the more altering she did. It took her about a week to complete and it was PERFECT when I got it back. The bride went with me to pick it up after alterations, and she said it was the best looking bridesmaid dress out of the group (other bridesmaids had taken their dresses elsewhere for alterations). Another bridesmaid took her dress elsewhere and the seamstress butchered the dress-- breast pads put in the wrong place, too much length taken off the bottom, and it was cut crooked. I suggested she take the butchered dress to Sarah. Sarah worked her magic and fixed that dress. The placement of the inserts were corrected. She fixed the uneven length on the dress, although my friend had to wear flats to the wedding because of how much length the original seamstress cut off. Overall, the bridesmaid and the bride were both happy with Sarah's corrective work. If I lived in the area, I would religiously use Sarah for all of my alteration needs!

I went in person later that day and explained what I needed her to do. 2 tapes removed and 2 sewn on. She said I could pick up on Monday ( I needed the blouse back by Tuesday) I called Monday morning to see if it was ready and then went and picked it up. Looked great, the tapes lined up with pockets, she didn't cut them and they were in the right place. She charged $25

I have visited this shop for years and the owner is absolutely wonderful! She takes the time to understand how you want an item adjusted and she fully stands behind her work. She is also brutally honest which I value highly - she really does get it right!! She is the best tailor I've ever had regardless of where I've lived around the country.

The two young ladies who measured & pinned the dress when I dropped it off were super nice & helpful but that's the only good thing I have to say. Someone called me the next day & said they couldn't do it at all bc it was too difficult. When I picked up the dress there were giant black spots all down the front of it!! I understand they're not really an alterations place BUT my dress was ruined in their possession in less than 12 hours. I wouldn't trust them for dry cleaning either.
