great customer service, finished my future wife's dress super fast. Very personal and does military uniforms as wel.

My first experience with this business was great. I brought in three pairs of pants to be hemmed. They were hemmed correctly and I was able to pick them up relatively quickly. I brought in a second set of pants for the same service. The owner did not have me try on the pants. Instead, she had me take off the pants that I was wearing to use as a reference. She measured the outside seam of 27 and 1/2 in. I wish I hadn't realized what she measured then. I'm only 5'2, my inseam is nowhere close to that! Pick up the items. I took them home and realized that it was as if they had not been hemmed. I brought those items back less than 6 hours after I picked them up. That's when the owner had me try the pants on and discovered that her first measurement was incredibly wrong. I came in a week later to pick up my pants and was charged full price for someone else's mistake. She compromised by telling me I only had to pay half of the $45 she was trying to charge. She charged me $29, which is obviously not half of 45. So ultimately this woman cost me over $70 to simply hem the pants. She spoke over me the whole time. I tried to plead my case and remind her that she's the one that measured incorrectly and she's the one that did not have me try on the pants first. I will not go back to this business again. What she did is incredibly deceitful and incredibly poor behavior. read more

Hannah's alterations is the place to go for all your formal wear needs. Being a military spouse you never know when you can or can not attend events till the last moment. Most places I looked into said it would take 1-2 weeks before getting dress altered. Hannah help me out and I was able to get done in 3 days. She good and timely. read more

If I could give 0 stars for this woman I would! Keep in mind I live over an hour away! I met with her yesterday at Carolina Bridal World in Smithfield. My dress arrived early last week and I was waiting to go bc the consultant (which was very sweet and nice to work with the CBW consultant Kayla) at CBW had recommended Hannah for alterations claiming she is good, quick, and affordable. She is at CBW on Tuesday evenings for fittings then you pick up your dress at her shop in Goldsboro. I arrived at 5:15 and didn't get into my dress until 6:30 and was cut in front of by another girl. Once in my dress Hannah did not introduce herself or even say hello. She asked where my shoes are and when I said I didn't have them yet she got very nasty and hateful with me. The CBW consultant brought me some shoes over so biggie about the shoes. Once Hannah had the shoulders and sides pinned in she then proceeded to in a very rough way pull out around my underarms to shove in push-up cups, and my dress is all lace at the top so very delicate but she was rough and forceful. I was asking her about length bc my plan is to wear a short heel for the ceremony and switch to flats for dancing at the reception so I wanted the length to be right for flats so I'm not stepping on the front of my dress while dancing. She then just kept saying in a hateful and aggressive tone "you girls change your mind too much" and repeated that several times. I've never met this lady before this! When the CBW consultant recommended she just do the alterations at the top and I come back with my shoes then do the length Hannah then stated "no, one time only then you pick up" I asked if the length is too long I would pay extra to take it up a little more and Hannah proceeded to repeat herself about "you girls change your mind too much" and " no, one time only it be perfect, no changing length". I was very confused bc from all the research I've done on wedding dress alterations there is suppose to be a second fitting and when I asked about the second fitting she then repeated herself.. and this went on back and forth for another 10 minutes or so with her not listening to my questions and just repeating herself. I feel as if I just paid $$$ for my wedding gown and I am paying you for alterations then you should at least be kind and courteous, listen to my questions and concerns and address them with care and thoughtfulness. I don't expect to be treated like a princess but certainly don't expect for someone I'm paying for your services to be rude and hateful towards me! If you do buy your dress from CBW I do recommend finding your own seamstress for alterations and not even bothering with Hannah the seamstress they recommend. Hannah is not an employee of CBW but they do recommend her to their Brides and its just bad business. I don't like that this is now a reflection of CBW but I will not be returning there for any more services and Possibly, not even to get my dress steamed complimentary. I would rather pay someone I trust to do it and its just not worth the hour drive after this truly awful horrendous experience! read more

I had a prom dress that was several sizes too big. Hannahs Alterations completely turned around the dress and I could not have asked for it to go any better. It was ready within 4 days and the price was incredible. Drove 45 minutes and would do it again to get to the alterations done!!! Incredible. read more

She is absolutely the best you will ever find. My 6 year old daughter has been going to see "Miss Hannah" (as she calls her) since she was two. Her dresses are always beautiful and absolutely PERFECT. The waist, the chest, the length, the shoulders, absolutely perfect. My daughter will not go anywhere else. She loves the way "Miss Hannah" makes her feel and she loves the way she looks when "Miss Hannah" spins her around to look in the mirror. And then, "Miss Hannah" twirls her around in her finished dress to make her feel just like a true princess. Her quality is phenomenal (and we've been in 20+ pageants/talent shows) and she always goes above and beyond to make each customer LOOK and FEEl beautiful. Thank you "Miss Hannah".
