Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with his services, and would caution anyone booking with him that price increases can be expected. I called Crystal Perfections to request a quote for carpet cleaning a ~1300 sqft 3 bed/2 bath apartment. I was given a $150 estimate and proceeded with booking an appointment. The day of service, I received a text from John saying I had more carpet than expected and he increased the our cost from $150 to $270 (nearly double). When I asked why, he said we effectively had 6 rooms, not 3, that needed cleaning (one, of which, was a small hallway), and that the square footage of the job does not matter, but number of rooms matters. This was not communicated during the initial quote, and John would not honor his quote, nor meet in the middle on pricing. I ended up paying full price as he had already cleaned the apartment when he notified me. I found John to be very unprofessional and do not recommend using his services.

I watch enough court tv to know that I…read morecould write a novel along with 15 sequels regarding the horror stories of buying, obtaining, requesting and wanting anything off of the site. I am still fairly new to Seattle so I took my chances. I had called a few weeks prior to my scheduled move and was quoted $80/hour since it would be a Saturday move. Okay, fair enough. Not bad. About 2 weeks before my move I called back and informed them that my apartment would not be ready until the week after my original move day and it would be on a Friday. Okay. Needless to say, I received a phone call the day of my original scheduled date (about 30 mins. prior) and Jason was confirming the move for that day. I was thrilled that they did a confirmation call but had to inform him of my previous phone call. He was cool about it and like I said, I was happy for the confirmation call. THE DAY OF THE MOVE Once again, I received a call and low and behold they arrived. There were two other guys (pretty young) besides Jason that would assist with the move. He only supervises right now because of a back injury. At first I wasn't thrilled because two teenagers might not really want to do this but they were fast and efficient. Dismantled my furniture items and were very polite. After we arrived at my new digs after a detour to Lowes, they once again were efficient and asking where I would like certain items and assembles my furniture items without a hitch. So why only 4 stars and not 5? Well well well. Now it is time for payment. Okay, I have my $280 (3 1/2 hours) in my hand plus a nice tip. Oh no, madam beautiful. The bill totals $373. HUH? Jason chuckles and says that oh, you didn't factor in tax? TAX??? You didn't say anything about tax on the phone neither time. I asked twice about the costs. Movers charge tax???? Since when? That is almost $100 in tax!!! In case you are wondering his answer, he explains that when he bought a tv he forgot to factor in tax. Uh, this is not Best Buy. Okay, well now I need to run to the ATM because I am goign to be short a few dollars. We all gather up our items and go to my bank's ATM. I grabbed the extra money (and yes their tip, an extra $65) and give it to him. As a shopper and also a person who deal with business owners (not small but large) everyday, you should say something to your customer regarding the "tax" so there will not be any discrepancy. Even on the website it offers nothing about tax. SMH. Will I use them again....maybe after I get my taxes done.

He responded to our call the same day that I reached out, and he came out to provide an inspection of our roof and gutters the very next day. Tom is extremely pleasant and professional. He explained the issues that we were observing in our new home, and understood immediately how to precisely remedy the roof problems. He offered multiple options, and we felt very comfortable moving forward with his suggestions. Tom is probably one of the hardest working and meticulous craftsman that we have had the privilege of working with. He spent several days power washing our roof, which now looks brand new. He performed a thorough inspection and did several additional repairs to the roof, and even included those unexpected repairs in the original cost estimate. In addition to cleaning and repairing the roof, he installed new gutters on a nearly 6000 sq ft home in 5 and a half days. Tom is extremely diligent, highly dependable and he does the highest quality work. He arrives when he says he will, and he just works the day away, waving hello from time to time through the window. We are extremely pleased with the new roof that Mike and his crew installed on our house. There are…read moreno painless renovation projects, but Mike went above and beyond with customer service--helping us understand every step of the way. Before the job: He was extremely prompt in coming out to provide an estimate. He spent time talking with us about the value of the products that he uses, and informed us about a 50-yr warranty that we could get. He told us that other companies might be slightly cheaper, but they won't offer the same warranty or quality of products. With the few other contractors who came out for an estimate, he was exactly right. They offered a lower quality product and very little cost savings. Not Mike. He's proud of the materials he works with, and he'll tell you why they are the best. The project: The work started on-time and was complete within the timeframe we were expecting. The crew was relatively neat and tidy. After the first two days of work, my wife and I had some questions about a few of the aesthetic details. Mike took our call and spent a lot of time with us, trying to figure out how to make sure that we were happy once the project was complete. He wrote and incredibly thorough recap email that provided suggestions for how to address our questions. The result: We are very happy with the end result of the renovation. The new roof looks fantastic and works much more efficiently to vent and protect the tiles. Mike provided an itemized list of other projects we should consider doing, but he was entirely no-pressure with us when we only decided to do a few (not all) of them through Hawks. I never felt like he was up-selling us. Just looking out for our house. Sidenote: I believe Mike said he used to do home inspections.
