Surprisingly disappointed with Crystal Perfections. I had really high hopes for Crystal/John as he was highly recommended by our landlord and had glowing reviews. Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with his services, and would caution anyone booking with him that price increases can be expected. I called Crystal Perfections to request a quote for carpet cleaning a ~1300 sqft 3 bed/2 bath apartment. I was given a $150 estimate and proceeded with booking an appointment. The day of service, I received a text from John saying I had more carpet than expected and he increased the our cost from $150 to $270 (nearly double). When I asked why, he said we effectively had 6 rooms, not 3, that needed cleaning (one, of which, was a small hallway), and that the square footage of the job does not matter, but number of rooms matters. This was not communicated during the initial quote, and John would not honor his quote, nor meet in the middle on pricing. I ended up paying full price as he had already cleaned the apartment when he notified me. I found John to be very unprofessional and do not recommend using his services. read more

I'm not sure how they have managed 4 stars other than maybe we drew the short straw and got the employee with the least concern for having happy customers. The one area I specifically told him needed extra attention was treated but nothing more. In other words he didn't bother to actually clean or extract in that area. It was left soaking wet and saturated with cleaner resulting in the oder problem being 10 times worse than when he arrived and it took me 11/2 hours on my hands and knees with my small cleaner the get all of the soap he left in the carpet out. John Davis (owner) is an amazingly sweet and kind person. I found him in 2009 on a fluke. And I am SO happy that I did! In 2009 my fiance and I had 6 dogs. Yes...6! We are the Brady Bunch of dog owners. He had 3, I had 3 and then we moved in together and ended up with 6! We now have 5 and needless to say...with this many dogs... things happen. This is when I decided to get some help and found John. In 2009 he did such an AMAZING job that I made sure to save my receipt so I knew I could find him again when needed. 7 years have passed and I contacted John again. I was so happy! He came to our home and there were some stains that I wasn't sure he would even be able to get out of this old carpet. Some rust, some ink and a few other tough areas that I had my doubts about. He did our entire house including stairs. It was a big job and took awhile. He arrived on time, is ALWAYS pleasant and took time and care to pay attention to our needs. Let me tell you... every single one of those stains came up! The floors look great! At the end of the job ...and it was a long and tough one....he still had that lovely smile on his face and a great attitude. He is extremely knowledgeable about the care and cleaning of carpets and floors. Hes been doing it since I think he said 1986! When I learned that, I knew I had found 'my carpet dude'. He definitely knows exactly what he is doing. He is the only person I will likely ever use again when it comes to the care of our floors and furniture. I already have plans to call him back again once we get moved into our new home and bring our couches out of storage. TIP: He likes Corona with lime and Coors Light. Sadly I didn't have any the day he came over to offer. But you can bet next time I will be offering him one! He works extremely hard and surely deserves it lol. If you want the job done right and with care and attention... John Davis will take care of you. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. I found a coupon for Crystal Perfection in a moneymailer coupon pack that came in my mailbox and they were offering a great deal, 2 rooms and a hall cleaned for $65, so I called them up and they made an appointment right for the next morning. John (I think he's the owner) arrived promptly when he said he would, and he was friendly and very knowledgeable about carpets and carpet cleaning. He brought everything that he needed and was in-and-out in one hour flat, leaving me with fresh clean carpets! I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.
