Information about the geology of the region, Chemehuevi, mining, and the city's notable founders is nicely displayed. The volunteer staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgable. The museum is open from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Tuesday - Saturday. There is plenty of parking in front of the museum. There is a small, but nice, interactive area where kid's can draw and learn. There is a gift shop that is run by the local rock club in the front of the museum. The Museum is a must see if you are interested in the region. Plan an hour visit. Bring the kids!
