Many of the rocks were collected locally by Club members or donated to the Club. Kathy was volunteering during our visit. She was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly to us as we tried to learn about the geology of the area. We purchased several rocks. Prices are reasonable and support a good cause. Kathy also gave us clues on where to explore and collect locally.

I am not into Southwest Interior Design per se, but I can appreciate how it fits into homes that are out here in the desert region. A lot of the Interior home items are very austere and minimal. There were gorgeous wrought iron-designed wall items and beautiful sculptural crosses-which I like to collect. What was really cool was the detailed wine glasses for sale-Birthday, Divorce, and even a Sangria-detailed one. A lot of what was for sale was way beyond what my budget was allowing but it sure was fun to browse and enjoy the store. A girl like myself could get into a lot of trouble in a place like this! They serve thrifty ice cream, and they got what we Latinos call "raspados"or shaved ice all for less than 2 bucks. The ice cream cone is only about 3 bucks. I was informed that they had their Rolex watches repaired by a professional watch repair person who did all their Rolex repairs. I finally received the watch back on 1/27/2026. It worked for a short period of time and then began losing time and stopping. I had to wind it a few times but it kept stopping. The stem was difficult to turn. I took the watch back and was not offered any refund on the repair charge nor was I able to contact the repair person for any explanation. I would highly recommend anyone who needs their Rolex repaired to only have it done at a Certified Rolex dealer/service which I will myself do now.
