My son was part of Grace Christian Preschool for 2 years and it was such a wonderful experience. The teachers gave him so much love, support, and patience, especially as he worked through challenges with speech and behavior. His progress has been amazing and I know it's because of the care he received here. We're so happy we had the opportunity to experience GCP. To all the ladies thank you from our hearts. I have two daughters (2&4) attending this school. This was the first school they have ever attended and they are both very shy. The teachers and staff have been so wonderful working with them to ease them out of their shell. I love that they all are genuinely excited for milestones like potty training, talking/playing with other kids, and making their first class friends. I also want to point out that even after a short time of going, my kids are learning so much. I am impressed by the things that they learn at such a young age. This is a wonderful preschool/kindergarten with caring, kind teachers and staff. We were incredibly lucky to find this location during the lockdown madness and it's probably the main reason we're still in California. Love this school. My son started here just before he turned 2 and my daughter started at 4 in their TK program. Mrs. Liz is a wonderful teacher for the little ones. At 2 my son counts to 20, knows all his shapes & colors & ABCs & is starting to identify letters. Mrs Bates was the TK teacher. She does a great job with the kids. My daughter is starting to read & write and she is memorizing bible verses. My husband and I are both in outside sales so we don't have Consistent schedules. We drop off and pick up at various times. I've never seen a teacher with a cell phone out as was stated in a previous review. However, I know at my kids previous school they also used phones for songs etc., I didn't like it at first but there's a lot of great developmental videos & phonics videos that have really helped my kids learn. Mrs. Reiser is wonderful as well. She knows every single kid by name and knows all their personalities. She's very involved and does a great job with the kids. read more

We recently transferred my son from a preschool in Yorba Linda to Grace Christian Academy and we're extremely pleased with our decision. I just wished they offered infant care (hopefully someday), but thankfully my son was old enough to be enrolled as they accepted children 18 months and older. The director and site supervisor are incredibly nice and accommodating to our needs and schedule. The teachers are pretty cool too! We checked out and called a handful of places and we felt that this school aligned with what we're looking for (curriculum and environment)! When you get a chance to tour this school, you won't regret it. I love how clean the restrooms are and the classrooms are neat, cutely decorated with themes! Oh and did I mention they also assist with potty training? Yup, they sure do and that's a huge help for us! Overall, I'm really grateful that my son is enrolled in a christian school setting that teaches about Jesus and the bible! read more

We recently moved to Corona and was looking for a preschool for my two year old child. GCA was just putting together a new preschool program and was set to open some time in July. GCA was very close to our home so we decided to sign up with them. Before I begin, I will say that my child has always been happy to go to school and always happy when we pick her up. My issue is with what I feel is a non-developmental and improper tool used with the kids. A couple months go by and everything is going well. I took a couple weeks off in September and had drop off/pick up duty. One day as I was dropping off my child I noticed that Miss Liz (toddler teacher) had her cellphone out with the kids sitting in a circle showing a nursery rhyme. I thought that was odd because I've never seen nor heard of any teacher in a preschool program use a cellphone with the children (my own experience and through friends) but did not say anything. I noticed it a second time a couple of days later while picking up my child. Miss Liz was changing a diaper but had her phone propped up against a wall while the kids sat at their lunch table watching her phone. I spoke to her the next day and told her that I find it inappropriate for a preschool to be using a cellphone with the children. She told me she doesn't do this "often" and that she mainly uses her phone for music for songs they did not have on CD but she "usually" doesn't show the phone screen to them. She said she would be getting a chrome cast to cast the image on the screen for the children instead of her phone. Personally, I still do not think a setting like a preschool should have any kind of screen time for children so young. I feel they should be doing activities that would stimulate their brains and help develop their imagination by acting out the nursery ryhmes. Am I wrong here? I gave her the benefit of the doubt and kept my child in the school. The second week while picking up my child, I saw the Director of the preschool program Mrs. Reisner, use her phone with the kids in the same manner as Miss Liz did, while changing a kids diaper. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. I picked up my kid and left. A few days later while picking my kid up, I saw a different teacher use her phone with the kids while Miss Liz was changing a child's diaper. I immediately spoke with Mrs. Reisner and she told me she was aware that I had spoken to Miss Liz the first time and she told Miss Liz not to use the phone anymore but Mrs. Reisner said she was not aware this was still happening. This whole time I was speaking with Mrs. Reisner I did not tell her I caught her doing the same thing. At this point I am ready to pull my child out but due to certain circumstances, we had to keep our child in the school for a little longer. Fast forward to today, October 31. My wife picks up our child and saw BOTH Miss Liz and Mrs Reisner with the phone out with the kids. She immediately talks to the head director Mrs. Owens and pulls out our child. What she didn't tell me, because she knew how upset I would be, was that for the last two weeks during pick up, she saw Miss Liz using the phone with the kids almost every pick up except one day (we go two days a week). I get home and head to the school to pick up our stuff. I spoke to both Mrs Owens and Mrs Reisner. When speaking with Mrs Reisner I said "I thought this issue was taken off." You know what she said? She said " I wasn't aware that this was still going on" !!!!!! She straight lied to my face because my wife SAW her using the phone TODAY! Mrs Reisner also denied ever showing the phone with the kids when I mentioned I saw her use it before. I didn't know what to say at all. She is supposed to address the parents concerns. It is also I n their handbook that teachers are not allowed to use cellphones during class time. Mrs Owens offered to bump up our child to the next age bracket but after all that has happened and the lack of concern or sense of responsibility by Miss Liz AND the Director Mrs Reisner, I don't not feel confident with the rest of the program here at GCA. Mrs Owens told me this issue will be discussed in their staff meeting today with all the teachers and the pastor. I really hope they fix this issue and create an environment where children will have more activities to help with imagination and developmental activities to stimulate their brains rather than just showing them nursery rhymes on a cellphone. I hate to base the entire school program on what has happened with the preschool program but this has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Update: I appreciate the fact that Mrs Owens has recognized the issue and will be working to improve. However, and I will not get into an argument here, but my wife and I are not liars and we saw what we saw. So please do not defame my character. I truly hope the children and parents benefit from your program. read more

I am so very pleased with Grace Christian. My child is in kinder and will start 1st grade in the fall. His teachers are very structured and disciplined, but I see it as the building of good habits. My child is able to read and write in cursive. I haven't tested my child's reading level, but from previous teaching experience, I'm guestimating at about 3rd grade level. In addition, my child has learned all of the scriptures presented and has a solid Christian foundation. My child is familiar with so many scriptural teachings and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience here thusfar. read more
