Cons: Unorganized (we asked several people who were serving where children's ministry was held and the common response was "I'm not sure." or "I think it's this way."), the children's ministry was more like babysitting than ministry curriculum (watching Veggie Tales and random coloring pages). People in the choir were still going up on stage to join the group well after service started...like 10-15 minutes after. The service lasted about 2 hours (the pastor said he was speaking longer than usual that day). Overall, I had a great experience and would go again.

Well, I can confidently say you've found your home in Ethos. There is so much that goes into making this place special, from the pastors & staffers to the participants. My family found out about Ethos from a flyer that came home in our daughters backpack. We looked at the website, read through the beliefs/core values, and watched a few sermons online. All of which aligned exactly to what we had in our hearts and were searching for as a family. Pastor Jordan & Courtney are both fantastic. All heart. You can tell that the messages provided each week are thoughtfully prepared together. They're relevant, concise and spoken to passionately. Pastor Jordan is who you will usually find on stage each week - he's dynamic and has a true gift of connecting with his audience. Personalization in preaching is so important to be able to take scripture and apply it directly in your own life, each message here is wrapped up with a bow on top. You *will* feel the spirit here. The worship music is on point & so is Ethos Kids. I'm beyond shocked how much my children learn about Jesus each week. They love Pastor Vinnie, and all of their teachers who generously serve each week. My husband & I are very grateful to be able to attend service kiddo free, we love that time together in an otherwise chaotic week. Beyond Sunday- This is more than just a community of people who worships together. We're a family that's passionate about giving back and serving in our city regularly with multiple volunteer opportunities for all age groups. Hands & feet, we're building the kingdom up here in the 614. Be sure to also check out the phased building plan of our future home on Africa Rd. It's a unique, smart, and sustainable approach to creating our little bit of heaven on earth. Everything is transparent. Lastly, new environments can be a lot. I'm personally someone who has anxiety entering into new situations or places. We only know what we know, right? Ethos will meet you where you are, wherever you are. You will be welcomed with love...then you're in control to breathe, feel His presence, relax with coffee, and engage at your own pace. (But I'll tell you, I sat through 2 services and heard my children talking about Jesus excitedly before I sent a text with my name to the new here inbox. It's beautiful to see so many different races/ethnicities worshiping together. The Children's ministry is amazing - kids LOVE it here. The music is SO GOOD. They do a great mix of classics as well as contemporary and gospel. The pastor and ministry team are so Godly, humble and dedicated to serving the church and community (they did food/supply drives for the community during COVID).The preaching is Biblical. They preach and teach Truth, which is important to my family and I. We don't want to just hear "feel good" sermons that leave us complacent and stagnant. We want to grow to be better Christians and community members. Calvary has been a huge part of facilitating that growth. We are better Christians for having found Calvary!

When she moved here she wanted to get involved, meet people, etc., so we came to the later service. Everyone was very welcoming, and informative. We hung out for a bit, talked to people about their activities and groups (it is a very active, very charitable church.) The service was nice. Fairly standard church-y structure, though the message is not dogmatic. Uplifting, funny, full of self-reflection. There are hymns, sometimes even more traditional ones. The choir here is huge, and sounds great. The pastors were all friendly and relaxed, and relaxing. Maybe too much- it all seemed a bit slow. Now, again, not a morning or church person, and sitting quietly, listening to mellow music, does not help me stay awake... UU is very focused on love, acceptance, and reason. If you are looking for a church that welcomes all, this is a good one. For me, even a UU church is too church-y, too organized, but it is a great place for fellowship, involvement, and spiritual growth. The building is cool, open, with many types of spaces. Lots of activities for kids. Located in a nice residential area just behind the Crimson Cup on High.
