What makes it worse is that then their billing department lied to me and told me the contract rate is $220.83. I contacted my insurance company and the contract rate is actually $191.71, so they added 15.2% on to the contract rate This company then claimed that if they don't bill my insurance for $441.66, they will not get their contract rate of $220.83, which we already know they lied about. My insurance company says that they should only be billing me $191.71. Then my insurance company brings in Nancy from the billing department and Nancy claims she didn't lie to me, even though we know she did whether it was her fault or not based on the information she had at the time. My insurer asks Nancy if they are willing to close the bill with no payment, and Nancy said "no". All while repating that I only have to pay $71. I will never stop going after pointless medical companies like this. $71 is not a reasonable price for a wrist brace, nor is $191.71.
