There is a committee called Arts on the Square that presents musical programs throughout the year with famous international performers and an Art Gallery with works of regional and local artists. The church is also known for its care and outreach to people who have no permanent home. Volunteers operate a food pantry, provide meals in front of the church on Friday nights, and they have a breakfast every Sunday morning with the help of other churches. No one is turned away. They also know every organization in town that can help with other needs. The also have committees trying to fight racism and pollution of the planet. If you want to be involved in these activities or support them with your presence, this is the church for you!

Was visiting the area with some old friends from the Navy and we needed a church with an early…read moreMass. St Joseph's featured a 7:30 Sunday Mass. It's a large and attractive Church whose architecture is probably what I would call a mixture of traditional and modern. You enter through the narthex where they had a hand sanitizing station and door openers to greet you and lead You towards the ushers. Usher seated you in the pews which have been arranged for social distancing. The main sanctuary has soaring ceilings and the floor descends towards the altar. Overall it's a large Church which I would estimate seats 700 to 800 worshipers. They were very welcoming to visitors and the mass was pretty standard. The priest gave a good homily and the service was about 50 minutes long. After Mass they served complimentary coffee and donuts as you exited. They have three masses on Sunday and the priest mentioned that starting in November 7:30 Mass would be changed to 8:00.

St. Joan of Arc is a modern church that I would guess was built in the late 1970's. There is a much smaller and much older church building across the street so my guess would be that the original congregation outgrew their original building and built a more substantial church across the street. St. Joan's has some nice stained glass. The floor is a hard material.. possibly all marble? So you will hear a lot of footsteps. The priest welcomed all the visitors and I would guess that in Hershey in the summer they get a lot of tourist visitors. Like the other reviewer, I found it odd that the communion line started in the rear of the church. Note: if you want to go to dinner after Mass, you need to make reservations at Fenucci's in advance or expect a two hour wait on Saturday night.

It enrolls about 500 children, and has a dedicated and caring teaching staff. They take care of the religious as well as educational needs of the children. They have a fish fry for lent in their cafeteria every friday.
