She made the planning process so easy and stress free for us. She worked with our budget and found us affordable vendors who did an amazing job as well. She took our vision and made it a reality. If you're a bride to be and don't want any additional stress, look for another wedding coordinator! I met Grace at a wedding food tasting at Morgan Creek Golf Club. She seemed very professional, friendly, and helpful that's why me and my now husband decided to hire her...BIG MISTAKE AND BIG WASTE OF MONEY! She charged us $1000 to coordinate our wedding the "Day Of" (Note- the contract states that the "Day Of package" starts 8-6 weeks before the wedding)...Well, our wedding was 3 weeks away and I had to contact her to remind her about my wedding! Once I did that, we set up an appointment to discuss wedding details. Now, the day of the appointment she was few minutes late (which I hated because I had my 3 month old baby with me and I was on a schedule to feed him). Plus, I just hated the fact that she was late! In my opinion wedding coordinators are like real estate agents, they need to arrive before the client does! At the end of the appointment she told me that "everything was on her hands now and that everything would be less stressful for me." Well, complete lies! Vendors were still contacting me and I still had to deal with a lot of stuff. When I asked her if she had contacted all the vendors, she told me she was "too busy" and that she "would do it soon." I mean, my wedding was around the corner and she was "too busy" to do the things I hired for! The day of the rehearsal we were supposed to meet 30 mins before anyone would get there to discuss about the decorations she was going to set up. Well, once again she was LATE! She got there when everyone else did, so we couldn't talk freely. Also, that day she brought her assistant because she had other "things to do," and her assistant took over our rehearsal. I paid her to be there, and she only showed up for 10 mins! The day of the wedding she was there, but from what I heard and saw she did very little. I actually think the venue coordinator did more for us (bringing us food and drinks, making sure we were comfortable, etc) than Grace. Not to mention that my husband told me that at the end of the event, him and his best man (wearing their tuxedos) were cleaning the venue and bridal room because she wasn't doing it! Something we paid for! To end this review, Grace completely disappointed me and my husband. We were not happy with her business and we felt like it was a waste of money. The funny part is that if you go to her instagram page @gracefulgatherings she reposted our wedding video making it seem like she did a great job, when in fact she was the worst vendor we had. Book Grace!!!! She was the month of coordinator for my wedding last weekend and she could not have done a better job. I know there was probably a million things going wrong or plans changing, but I was unaware of anything. Grace handled all the issues and found solutions to all the problems so I did not have to deal with anything on my big day. To me, everything ran smoothly. We also had her do the flowers and decorations for my wedding. It was stunning, they looked even better than I could have dreamed. This is a con artist, do not trust her!!! She not only got my credit card information from my fiancé and charged me a month before any balances was due, she also did not do anything for months!!! We booked her in March and she only found a venue a month and a half before the wedding. She did absolutely nothing else, and will ruin your wedding. Grace and her team went to the next level on everything. I booked this team of experts for my August wedding. They were there every step of the way. From letting me choose some of my own vendors and add my own ideas to my wedding- to taking on somethings I would rather not deal with. She kept my vendors in line and fully informed. She saw my vision and more for my big day and she put every effort into making sure it was exactly how I pictured it. It was way more than I ever imagined. If there was any kind of slip up, I had no idea. If I didn't need the stress and didn't need to know- she made sure I was a happy bride. My then fiancée and now husband was very pleased with her efforts as well. Not only did she go above and beyond with every detail I could even imagine, she made sure my groomsmen had what they needed and bridesmaids to help the bride and groom have the best day ever. Not everyone is an expert in wedding (some of us think we are)- but leave it to Grace and her team to take care of every little detail from start to finish. She answered all of my questions with ease and is very professional. Although I didn't have an endless budget for my big day, she helped me stay within my budget and stay realistic and truly kept her expertise up to par when it came to knowing what I wanted and needed for the most magical day of my life. Grace was recommended to me by a friend at the time who worked for her. Grace had planned nearly my entire wedding day. The week before the wedding she tells me she cant fulfill my venue choice. She said she was afraid to tell me and had waited nearly a week to say something. Needless to say we ended up having a venue change at the last minute adding extreme stress to the situation. Met Grace, the owner of Graceful Gatherings a year ago this month where she had a booth at a community breakfast. We were excited when we found out we won a community breakfast raffle prize and it was for Graceful Gatherings! We've planned our son's high school graduation party, we planned our son's junior college party, but when it came to his university college graduation we hired Grace. We can honestly say it was the best thing we did! We wanted to enjoy our guests and celebrate our son's accomplishments! It was not to be able to relax and know everything was taken care of. We actually had to tell our parents not to do a thing as they've always helped us in the past. That it was all being taken care of by Grace and her team. She did not just take care of the celebration day, but she took care of our invitation printing, mailing of invitations, rental items for the "adult" construction theme we chose, obtaining catering prices and food tasting, picking up the special ordered thank you gifts and our pre-ordered dessert. Grace was full of ideas and attentive to all the details in setting up the construction items on display, tables and tables settings, etc. We were able to rent chafing dishes, a few construction items to go along with our items and mason jars we used for each of our guests. The final best part for a customer we believe is - Grace and her team handled all the clean up. We walked into our kitchen to see food leftovers all packaged up and placed in our refrigerator. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner - don't be... just do it! There were a few corners that we could have cut to save on the wedding and probably should have to stayed within budget, however I do not regret any of it. I especially do not regret hiring Grace with Graceful Gatherings. Hiring a wedding planner was the BEST decision and the BEST money we spent on the wedding. We got the Elite Planning Package and our wedding was truly one of a kind. Your wedding is suppose to be stress free, but when you are the planner it is not stress free. You are worried about every little detail. There were times that I was stressed, but then I remembered I had Grace and she made sure to take away my stress. Once I trusted Grace with my wedding and vision I was amazed at her creativity, dedication and commitment to her clients. In fact, I would get emails from her at 2 am. She is the hardest working person I have met and I have no idea how she does it. Grace not only helped planned a fairytale wedding, but she was also my florist. I gave her complete control of the flowers. I told her I wanted wild flowers and other than that the rest was up to her. I knew that she would be amazing and she was indeed. I did a TON of research on wedding planners. For me, it came down to two planners, but in the end I picked Graceful Gatherings. The reason I chose Graceful Gatherings to be my wedding planner is because I felt it in my gut that she was the right one, but I also felt connected to her. You need to feel a connection to your wedding planner. I like to email, but I did learn with Grace if you need an answer right away then a phone call or text is your best answer. An email may take her a couple days to get to but a phone call or text she responds very promptly. If I could do it all over again, I still would choose Grace to be on my side. My (now) husband and I have extremely high expectations. Graceful Gatherings blew our expectations out of the water. I was dazzled with the decor of the wedding, the flowers, the planning and her team. I do want to add that many wedding venues offer "in-house" wedding coordinators/planners. Ours did. However, I would hire an additional wedding planner. The "in-house" planners are not going to go above and beyond. They will simply coordinate the day of and make sure your vendors are there. Grace did so much more than just coordinate. She became a friend that you could rely on, she was the florist, the venue designer, the person that made sure everything you needed was at the venue so you didn't have to, she was everything to us. read more

We wanted to celebrate our 2 granddaughters high school graduation. They are blessed to have many family and friends that wanted to celebrate with us and the girls. I called Grace Kajimura at Graceful Gatherings to help me. She calmed my anxiety and took care of everything! She coordinated with the caterer, set up all of the tables and provided beautiful decorations. Collette and Theresa decorated, picked up the food and ensured that our Mimosa's and food were always full. I couldn't have been more pleased with the services. I looked around for months trying to figure out how to rent vintage furniture for my wedding with out costing me an arm and a leg. Grace is were it is at, she has beautiful couches and neat decor. I simply wanted a few couches and a table to give my old town sac wedding that vintage feel. It still cost a bit much but it was reasonable for them to move the furniture in and out. I would like to say I wish there was better communication leading up to the wedding day. I was suppose to get some stylized photos of what the set up would be and I didn't. I'll start by saying - Im a business owner.  Giving direction and making decisions is something I do all day, every day.  For my daughters wedding, I did not want to have that stress nor responsibility so we gladly hired Grace and Daniella.   Best decision we made! Both are professional and competent. They met with us on site (lake of the pines) while we were in the early stages of planning. We had four months to pull it all together  - Not a year like many weddings! With their help, everything went beautifully. The day was amazing. We did the flowers through Grace and those too where beautiful~ Perfect touch for the venue and gathering. There are variations of the planning Graceful Gatherings offer. Be sure you know yourself and what you want before deciding on what option is realistic. (With any event planner this will be true!)  If your a stress bucket in life, don't expect Anyone to be able to work magic, change your state of being so that you can be something your not for one day. Not enough money or options will change it.  If you pay for the Day of and expect more than their contract covers then its on you for letting your balls drop.  Choose your venue and vendors with care. If those vendors do not perform up to your expectations, its not Graceful Gatherings fault you made a poor decision. My daughter and I are very good with being organized, making decisions and planning. Daniella and Grace filled in gaps we didn't know existed!   Before the wedding even started, we felt as if we got our money's worth with their advise and help putting decorations together, stepping in with a few family questions, keeping vendors in contact and on schedule with their contracts.  We had the information to provide to them therefore, they were able to do their jobs successfully.  The day went so smooth - I was nervous about what was going to go wrong... and nothing did!.  In my world, that's amazing and Im so very thankful for Grace and Daniella for taking care of everything so we could enjoy my daughters wedding. Our Venue was Lake of the Pines.  Its a wonderful location and Mark was super nice about our walking in to talk with him. Food was fabulous and the setting beautiful. I highly recommend Grace, Daniella and their staff. They were prompt, supportive, informative and lovely ladies all the way around. Not sure why some reviews are so bitter, I can only assume its a personal issue more than a planning glitch. My experience was very positive!  I have one more daughter and two Grand daughters to see married - I plan on calling Grace as soon as our girls find the right man and they start to plan for their Big Day! read more

Grace did our wedding at the North Columbia Schoolhouse this June and it was BEYOND WORDS AMAZING!!! Her and her team took our scatterbrained ideas and made our event a perfect celebration. We even heard comments from guests saying it was the party of the year. She was organized, respectful, and one of the best coordinators I have ever seen. I would highly recommend her to ANYONE! This one is for the fellas out there. HIRE GRACE! My wife and I got married in October last year and hiring Grace was the best thing we did. We met Grace over a year before our wedding date and as a budget conscious guy I was skeptical about hiring a planner and adding what I saw as an extra expense. Two months of wading through vendors later we brought Grace on board and what a difference. Grace made the process easy and she saved us money every step of the way. I think my wife and I changed our minds on almost everything at one point or another, from our wedding colors to what music we wanted and everything in between. Grace handled all of our nonsense with class and ease, she was able to make our mishmash of ideas come to life and put together the wedding of our dreams As great as Grace was helping us get everything set for the big day, she was even better the day of. My wife was an hour behind schedule getting to the venue, my cousin showed up unannounced with a drone to videotape the event, the ring bearer forgot his bow-tie (Grace was able to tie one out of napkin), and my mother-in-law went full nuclear (which she has a tendency to do) all before the day even got started. We didn't have to lift a finger, Grace handled all of it and nobody knew any better. As far as the guests were concerned the event ran like clockwork and it was the party of the year. Her decorations were fabulous, she and her staff were courteous, professional and fun, they took care of everything we needed throughout the night and cleaned it all up when it was done. Grace and her crew are spectacular! My daughter and her fiancé hired her as their wedding planner a year ago and she has been there every step of the way. She helped put together a team of vendors who worked together with ease to make the wedding a smashing success. Extremely disappointed in the services that were provided. I hired Grace because she was at a photoshoot I was working on which was a staged wedding for a magazine. She seemed very friendly and professional in person which is why I hired her for my wedding. The pictures she has on her website are from a photoshoot not an actual wedding and that was the shoot I was in. Firstly, I found out she was trying to charge me for things my venue provided free of charge. I hired Grace to be my wedding planner and throughout the planning everything I had asked her to do I ended up doing myself. Two weeks before my wedding I was unable to get ahold of her, even though at our initial meeting she told me I could contact her anytime. I am not the type of bride that would call all the time. In fact I rarely called at all. But when I did need her she was "too busy" she told us if we wanted to talk to her that we would have to schedule a call through her website. Mind you this was 2 weeks before my big day! I was freaking out and still have yet to receive any communication from her ( after I paid for her services) and it is less than a week away from my wedding. I had no choice but to fire her through email because I couldn't get in contact with her. She still hasn't responded after several attempts to see if she even received my email. We went ahead and hired someone else on very short notice and thank God because if not my wedding would have been ruined because of Grace. I would not recommend her to ANYONE I know. We worked with Kara from Graceful Gatherings for our day-of wedding planner. We were so happy with the service we received! Even though she was a day-of planner, Kara started helping months before the wedding. She helped coordinate the vendors, reminded me of things that needed to be decided, provided advice about different ways to do things, and made sure everything was on track--a huge help since I was planning from across the country! Kara was extremely responsive, and if I told her how I wanted something I knew it would be exactly how I wanted. She provided us with a full wedding day schedule and checked in with us throughout the day, including the day before at the rehearsal dinner. I thought I would be able to coordinate everything myself, but now I have no idea what I was thinking!!! It was such a HUGE relief to have Kara in charge of the vendors and keeping us on schedule so my family and I could just enjoy the day! Kara was extremely organized and has the perfect temperament for wedding planning. She was always calm and even when I was getting stressed, she made me feel like everything would be fine--and it was more than fine, it was such an absolutely wonderful day!
