In early January 2021, I contacted Taylor to book smash cake Photoshoot. Her website states deluxe cake smash must book one month in advance to allow for her to gather props. My daughter's birthday is in mid March so I wanted to book in advance and get the photos by her birthday. First off, Taylor is not very responsive. It was frustrating trying to book the time. When I first reached out in early January, it took her four days to reply. She told me her schedule, and I had to text her a few times to confirm the booking. I told her I wanted the deluxe smash cake package. One month before the shoot, I messaged her asking for ideas for pink theme smash cakes and told her the colors I liked. She didn't reply. I followed up again in two weeks and nothing. Then I followed up again two days after that. She finally replied week before the shoot and asked me what I wanted to do. I was already worried she wouldn't have enough time to gather props and asked her what she was going to do. She told me she wouldn't be able to do anything till morning of the shoot. This got me more worried since her website says to give her a month time to gather props but she is now saying she isn't going to do anything till morning of. The Saturday before the shoot on Tuesday, Taylor messaged me asking if I could come earlier since she wanted to book a newborn session in the afternoon. She never mentions a time. We had booked 10:30am. I told her we could come a little earlier, thinking like 10am. Usually when places ask me to come a little earlier, I typically think 10-30 minutes. If it's that much earlier, they typically say a time. On Monday night before the shoot, I asked her when we should come and she told me to come at 9am. I was now getting frustrated and stressed out. Her studio is an hour drive. I didn't want to wake my baby up two hours earlier and have her be fussy. I told Taylor the earliest we could do is 10am. Then I asked her if she had enough time to do our photos as I felt like she might be rushed for the newborn photoshoot she just scheduled after us. Taylor got upset at me and cancel our photoshoot. I told her we wanted her to do our smash cake photos and did not mean to come off as mean, but I was frustrated with the situation. Taylor didn't care and canceled our photoshoot the night before. We are now scrambling to find new photographer and may not get photos done in time for her birthday. Taylor is completely unprofessional. My best friend spent a month on bedrest inpatient before her twins were born, then the babies spent a month in NICU. When they came home in all the crisis she hadn't thought to schedule their newborn pictures. We called everyone in town. Apparently you have to schedule your newborn pictures the day you find out you are pregnant. Graceful Wishes was recommended to us by a friend. I explained the situation and the owner made time for an appointment for us the next week even though she was in the middle of moving! They give you unlimited time so you don't have to feel rushed and they have TONS of accessories, scarfs, outfits, props, diaper covers, hats, headbands, back drops, All we had to bring was the babies and diaper bags.
