We ranked 11 different photographers and found Laura's ability to adapt to different wedding ambiances and themes top notch. We wanted a lot of 'pop' since our wedding was really colorful, and Laura was perfect. Before the wedding, Laura called us before talking about pricing and logistics just to get to know us personally and our story. She was the only one that did that among photographers on our list and one of the few among all wedding vendors we booked. I think it really helped her get the right shots matching our personalities to the photos. Her pricing is excellent especially for the amount of work she puts in. Our engagement shoot was great. She planned it out perfectly to get the right scenery with the natural light. It was a long day, but she made sure we were energized with enough breaks and coffee. The day of the ceremonies, she and her team were extremely well coordinated with all of the vendors. They were super-efficient getting portraits in before and after without feeling rushed. I think most important of all is she and her team were a blast to work with! After the festivities, she sent us a small batch of photos immediately to share with the family and the big album about 2 months later which is quicker than we expected! So of course I went to Yelp for suggestions and didn't see a lot of options for photographers in…read moreour area so I created a job request and waited for experts to reach out. I was super stressed because the only day all kids were home from college & adults were available was Thanksgiving & Black Friday. Big order, I know. So, we were contacted by several excellent experts but none were available for the limited availability we had until Whitemoose Photography reached out and they had a photographer named Kapri who was available to come on Black Friday. There was an additional charge for coming on a holiday/Black Friday which I gladly paid and was so excited to finally get some good pictures of everyone together. The shoot was fun and Kapri brought a good energy and fit in well with all of us. Prior to Kapri coming I asked if she had a green screen or something to create different backgrounds for the senior pictures. She did not have a green screen but she brought a white sheet as a backdrop and said so she would bring a white backdrop so she could insert different backgrounds for the pictures and insert some fun backgrounds to our daughter's photos. We booked her Senior Pictures for the same day with Kapri. I asked before she left fter the shoot when we could see the pictures and was surprised to find out we needed to wait 14 days. Just to see the proofs. I let her know we would be traveling Dec 12-24 so if we could get them before the trip it would be something fun we could look at on the plane. Kapri sent a text 3 days before the promised delivery date asking if I had had time to review the pictures. Her email messages she sent never came through to my email or an alternate gmail account address I gave her. Thank goodness for the Yelp app because it allows you to send & receive messages as well as links to the pictures. When we finally got to see the pictures disappointment was the consensus of everyone that was in the pictures that saw them. I contacted Kapri and let her know that with her awesome energy and how much fun we had during the photo shoot we were all disappointed and surprised with the final product. Also all the senior pictures had a white background instead of different city scapes like we discussed and no filters were applied to any pictures. I don't know a lot about photography but I have several retired friends that are hobbyists. I asked for the digital pictures so I could send them to our friends so they could "fix" the lighting or angle or whatever was wrong with the pictures. So Kapri & I went around and around because I couldn't tell her what I didn't like about the pictures. Finally as a last ditch effort I sent her some fun family pj photos from a Google search I liked. After Kapri saw my vision her true talents came through! Using AI she was able to turn a sterile unflattering family picture into a warm holiday fun photo with all of our loved ones together! (The ages of everyone ranged from 18 to 84). Kapri said she forgot about adding the background for senior pictures and when she was done with those they were "fire" according to the younger members of our group photo and our daughter loved being able to take pictures at home instead of booking senior photos through the school photographer. I learned It's super important to communicate the spirit or inspiration of the photos. (The cap and gown photo never happened irl). Kapri was able to CREATE the cap & gown photo using other photos she took & a picture of the color of the cap & gown! I'm still gobsmacked by what a difference AI makes!

One of my Other friends who had shown me this boutique had known her personally and reached out, ONLY THEN DID SHE DECIDE to text me some message on how MY appointment got cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule. I think its completely unprofessional to cancel an appointment for a someone and not let them know and just leave them in the dust. if this is how she is even for shopping I cant imagine how unprofessional she is in her other endeavors.

I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I'm certainly hoping my upcoming birthday involves a gift certificate so I can snag more of the photos I had to weed out from this shoot! Highly recommend!
