When I originally contacted Jason, he called me back promptly and he was very professional and personable. He had scheduled himself to be on vacation that week, but he was so generous that he took time off from his vacation to shoot my engagement proposal. He went the extra mile - arrived early, stayed late and even help participate... in my proposal plans (I proposed at a local art gallery and he acted as if he were the gallery guide). He has a unique, creative style and was able to capture exactly what I wanted in my engagement proposal photos. Every single one of Jason's photos was incredible and there were over 200 of them! We had family pictures taken by Jason last month and I seriously can't highly recommend him enough to people needing to find a photographer. Looking at his photos on his website proves that he is amazing at what he does but he is also very fun to work with and a really nice guy. The photo session was fun, easy and felt natural...even my 1 1/2 year old loved him (or did she love the blue raspberry sucker?) I knew from our first phone call that he was The One... who should be taking all of our photos for our big day! :) Having loved photography since middle school, I was very particular about selecting one: although I budgeted the most for photo/video, I was still looking for a good value and above all, an experienced, talented photographer who works well with clients. Just submit a request on his website and he will email you to set up a time to talk. He does this so he can introduce himself, get to know you, and answer questions. Even if you've never done a photo session, don't worry, he will walk you through everything you need to know. On the actual photo shoot day, everything went just as he described. Jason was prompt in meeting at his downtown studio. We got settled quickly and he made things comfortable. Even brought portable speakers to play music while we walked around downtown looking for some good shots to take. There are NO WORDS that can express the feeling and gratitude I have for Jason. I don't know how my husband found him but, I give credit to where credit is due. Of course first thought that came to mind was "I can't afford a high-quality photographer like this!" I agreed to meet with Jason simply because I wanted to meet the artist behind the lens. His professionalism was stellar but, it was his quiet modesty and humbleness that won me over. He spent over an hour just getting to know my husband and I. In my mind I was saying, "What does it matter how we met or what we have in common. How does this have anything to do with taking pictures at my wedding?" Working with A photographer of Exposure Photography was a perfect experience. He showed up, took note of the light, did test shots, and picked the perfect spot for headshots of our big tennis crew. While I cannot speak to an experience being photographed by Jason, I can speak to an experience with him and his photography business which I believe showcases his character, and in turn customer service to all his customers. In late August my family learned that my brother in law would be returning home after a 6 month deployment overseas with the special forces. I contacted many local photographers to see if anyone was available to take complementary pictures of my brother in laws arrival home to see his wife after 6 months. Understandably, many who I contacted were unable to do a free, last minute photo shoot in the middle of the day at a crowded airport. Many ignored my email all together. I am OCD and I literally looked at every singly vendor's portfolio. I spent hours looking at hundreds of pictures taken by every single photographer. Jason was BY FAR the best photographer with the most impressive, amazing and breathtaking pictures. His pictures were very natural. He did not do a lot of tacky editing to the photos; instead he relied on his evident talent of creating his own lighting and setup and capturing the best photos. Also, he was the ONLY photographer who actually gave us access to his ENTIRE library of albums - hundreds and hundreds of photos for all his previous events (engagement sessions, weddings, photoshoots...etc). This really gave us the chance to know what to expect and the type, number of photos to expect for our wedding. You wanna know how our wedding photos turned up? AMAZING. STUNNING. IMPRESSIVE. GENUINE. A LOT! Jason basically gave tons of pictures, more than ANY photographer would ever give you. The photos were amazing. I am so picky and I LOVED them. My wife and I hired Jason on as the photographer for our wedding this past October. Being very particular about photos in general, I was very picky when deciding on a photographer. Update: Unfortunately for us in Las Vegas he has relocated to Texas. Four years later I'm still getting requests for his info from my wedding guests. You don't need to look anywhere else. October 2011 I felt so lucky to find him when I did and we booked EARLY! I was close to signing a contract with one of his photographer friends coincidently but after one phone call with Jason I knew he was our guy! The other photographer understood why I would choose someone as talented as Jason and told me I was in great hands. He is amazing! We met for our engagement photoshoot and he brought an assistant and an army of equipment. I swear people must have thought we were something special walking around Lake Las Vegas that day..and he is so quick as setting up and breaking down you're off to the next location in no time. He likes to play with lights and is so creative at composition! Then came the WEDDING..he called to see if I needed anything at the venue..if I had forgotten anything..soooo sweet and thoughtful! Much more than our photographer to us now. No more Sears or Portrait People for our family pics. We have our photoghrapher for as long as he is still snapping photos. Oh yeah back to the wedding. He was amazing at working with the videographers and working it out so everyone got what they needed. Just got my headshots done at Jason's studio for real estate. I feel like a lot of agent's photos are pretty cheesy and wanted something more natural. Overall my husband, who is also named Jason haha, and I had a wonderful experience with Jason Talley.The first request to meet Jason Talley was responded to within hours and by the end of the day we were all set up to meet him and preview some of his work. My husband and I felt very relaxed meeting with him. Some of the photographers we had met spent their time trying to sell us on the books they would make in the end but Jason spent the time getting to know us and even took us out for some coffee. My husband and I, who are procrastinators by nature, knew as soon as we had left that we wanted to ask Talley if he was available for our date. We were delighted to find that he was available for our wedding and the rest you can say is history! We took engagement photos in the park where we weren't really sure what to do. Jason put on some music, told us to just enjoy, and even let us play around in the water. During my bridal portraits he didn't mind the HUGE crew I brought with me (my mom, aunt, sister). He again, cranked the tunes, and just let us try out many different shots. There is nothing more enjoyable than playing dress up in your wedding gown and taking pictures with your mom and sister. Prior to the wedding we had been in contact about a few things we wanted to do, like a first look and how we could spend less time on posed pictures and more time just enjoying the wedding. On the day of the wedding, we could not have asked for a more prepared guy! Before he met up with us he asked if there was anything we needed, mints, gum, etc and he picked it up and brought it along. He also brought an umbrella hahah because being in Houston during hurricane season is kind of a dangerous time when you are trying to keep your hair and makeup in tact. He truly captured some of the most beautiful pictures throughout the night. We hardly saw him because he was buzzing to and through all of the venue to make sure we didn't miss a thing! At the end of the night, when the hurricane had started coming down and we were heading out Jason stopped us with one last request, that we take another picture in the rain. What we could not have imagined in our minds Jason saw before he even clicked his camera and what turned out to be one of my favorite pictures, ever. When we met Jason for the first time we knew he would be our photographer even though he was our first photography appointment of the day. We so happen to have the same last name too!!! Without a doubt, one of the best choices we made in planning our wedding was hiring Jason! From the first conversation I had with him, I could tell Jason was an honest professional.
