Our tour of Graceland (not the mansion) was an amazing experience. While I appreciate all he did, I was not a big listener of his music. That aside, he created a whole new music world and set standards that are still in existence today. A trendsetter and a person not willing to back off from taking a chance. He made a difference in the world. Myself, wife and friends came here to Graceland as we were on an Mississippi River cruise and Memphis was a stop. I mean if you're here, how could you not visit? There is no limit to what you see here. The Lisa Marie Museum, his museum which have videos, his clothing, and various possessions of his. The car museum was amazing, especially the Pink Cadillac, his Rolls Royces, corvettes....the list goes on and on. His famous jets, are also parked outside. There is just no limit to seeing all this awesome. My only advice is to allow enough time so you are not rushed through anything. Take your time and read all the narration attached to the items. Watch the videos and see him in action after you've seen his clothing and jewelry. And most important... look at the photos of him and Lisa Marie. I went to Graceland for my 55th birthday. I was raised as a kid with Elvis's gospel music being played in my grandparents house. My first introduction into music was Elvis himself. I remember being a preteen telling my grandmother that I was going to live at Graceland one day hahahaha! I finally went. I was overwhelmed with excitement and emotion to finally be here. There was SO MUCH to see! Oh my goodness! So much! I loved the Lisa Presley exhibit as well, I have adored her my entire life. I loved Graceland so much that I have already booked another trip for September by myself this time so I can take more pictures and make a book for myself. My favorite part was the backyard. Loved Graceland! Had a long layover at the airport and was glad to spend some time here. It's a quick Uber ride from the airport and I spent about 3 1/2 hours here. My favorite parts were seeing Elvis' outfits and his cars. I did the Elvis experience tour, which I thought was worth the price. We started off the tour taking a bus to Elvis' mansion and it was a quick ~45 minute self guided tour. You don't see everything, but hit some of the highlights (kitchen, jungle room, stables). It was OK, but clearly better for more serious Elvis fans. Very touristy; more square footage in Gift Shops than in his mansion. We couldn't see his bedroom or bath - and given his huge wealth, the house was understated by today's standards. We left thinking about what we would create with a similar budget. read more

Visited here when my brother and SIL were in town visiting from NYC and I could see how this would be an amazing experience for super Elvis fans however I was a bit disappointed that a lot of areas were off limits to visitors which definitely hindered the $300+ cost of it all. I could see how back in the day this house would've been the bees knees, but to me, it wasn't really anything special, and I am a fan of Elvis's music, just not a super fan. Couldn't imagine being one of the people flying out from different countries to come visit here though. TIP FOR OUT OF TOWNERS : this is in a very unsafe area of the city so please watch your surroundings and do not walk the streets around the area alone. read more

Second time here. This definitely blew the first trip out of the water! They made so many improvements to Graceland in the last 10 years, I was very impressed! They have added so many new artifacts and so many exhibits that instead of spending the 1 to 2 hours that we did last time here we spent the entire day. I highly recommend upgrading your ticket to the next tier so you have access to everything that Graceland has to offer. If we're ever in this area of the country again, we will definitely return! Visited Graceland four times since 2014, and it keeps getting better. My 2026 visit really surprised me! The exterior and overall setup now feel a lot like a Disney-style theme park. The experience is much more polished, and the opening film about Elvis makes his legacy easy to appreciate even if we didn't grow up knowing much about him. There are also more exhibits now, and we could tell they've invested a lot into improving it. Only downside: a really mean staff member outside the ticket area who stopped us and questioned our ticket choice quite aggressively, insisting there was no such thing as a "basic" ticket. As the person who has visited three times before, I had to explain that I meant the most basic tier they offer and then finally she let me go. It felt rude and a bit disrespectful, especially since the other staff members were so nice and welcoming. Still a great experience overall, just wish the front-line service matched the rest. read more

My boyfriend and I took the Elvis Experience tour on a Saturday around noon. Surprisingly, it wasn't too crowded and once we put on the headphones and started the audio tour, we really didn't run into many others. I thought the tour was very inclusive of Elvis' life and included details on others close to him, including an entire room on the colonel. From cars to his plane and his That 70's Show style kitchen, there's something for everyone. I enjoyed the outside portions of the tour looking at his horse pasture, pool, and gravesite. The staff are friendly and helpful and stationed throughout various parts of the tour for questions or concerns. I personally am not an Elvis fanatic, so, I thought the $85 ticket price was steep. However, if you are a lover of the king, this base tour gives you a fantastic look into his life. read more

How do you go to Graceland and not write a review? Don't ask me. It was a really cool experience walking through the mansion and its grounds just imagining Elvis and his life there. Everything is so well-maintained and in pristine condition. A true time capsule. Getting to see everything there as well as the Lisa Marie plane and the large warehouse displaying everything from his cars to outfits, Lisa Marie's baby toys, his army uniform and more was so fascinating. On the wall outside of the mansion visitors have written messages, their names and where they're from etc. We did as well. Maybe one day we'll visit again and try to find what we penned on the wall. read more

My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning. We got tickets in advance. To see the mansion, a ticket is about $80 (as of Feb '26). You also get to see the museum with Elvis's cars and planes, and a few exhibits on the King. While it was certainly on my Memphis bucket list, I thought the price was a bit steep for the experience. The audio guide for the mansion covered mostly Elvis's life there and the history of the property. Even the museum was not a comprehensive overview of Elvis's life and career, so don't expect that when you go. The museum exhibits focused on specific parts of his life and legacy (ex.: his clothing; his influence on other artists; his time in the military, etc.). read more

This is the kitty, gloriously bizarre home of the King of Rock & Roll. Elvis Presley was born in Mississippi, he as a true son of Memphis. He was raised in the Lauderdale Courts public housing projects and was inspired by blues clubs on Beale St. In 1957, at 22 yrs. Elvis was discovered at Sun Studios. He spent $100,000 on this colonial style mansion named Graceland by previous owners. After spending an hour touring the house, we came back to the visitor center and saw Elvis's collection of cars, motorcycles, golf carts, jewelry, hold records, furniture, housewares, clothing, airplanes ... everything & anything Elvis. Graceland is everything Elvis on overload. We went into the different exhibits until we were exhausted. It's hard to believe there is such a vast collection when his life was so short. My negative is that this is so expensive. We spent $10 to park in $168 for the two of us to visit. Today we were one of the youngest ones here. I wonder who will be coming & paying these entrance fees in 20 years when his fans will be 85+? read more

First time visit, it's a neat place. Loved the house and rooms, the decor, the kitsch, the history, the colors, etc. Great preservation and respect shown. The peacock living room is my favorite. Cars were neat, too. Multiple gift shops with different things so look around before settling on an item. My only real criticism is the big display of other singers' and actors' clothing items "inspired" by Elvis. Give me a break. Doesn't belong at Graceland imho, annoyed us all, such a stretch to see some outfits with barely a sequin or Justin Timberlake's black suit all supposedly paying homage to Elvis. Lame quotes, big turnoff. And this was before you get to seeing Elvis' actual own amazing clothing. Should have been reversed to front load visitor priorities (you do get tired walking around so put the best stuff sooner). Overall an interesting place. read more

Graceland is truly a part of Americana and celebrates a timeless icon. My family and I were traveling through Memphis on a summer road trip and Graceland was one of the mandatory stops. A little homework before arriving made us familiar with the fees (entry, parking, etc.) so we were not surprised. We did opt for the VIP tour that had a dedicated tour guide. Based on what I read in the reviews that could be the difference from enjoying the tour or not. It is pricey but they really roll out the red carpet for you and it is much more informative. The VIP package we chose was the Ultimate VIP with the meal. I normally wouldn't pay the $235 per person but it was my wife's birthday and that's what she wanted but I did not regret it at all. It was well worth the money. We had a scheduled tour time and once we arrived and checked in we were able to tour the shops, museum and private jets before our tour started. The jets are a short walk and do not take long to tour but I do recommend checking them out. They are well preserved and worth the walk. The museums cover so many parts of Elvis' life and even more. They pay tribute to the many different phases of Elvis' career and other artists. The tour was excellent and the tour guide made it even better. A true fan and very knowledgeable, she truly took us through Elvis' life and could answer every question we had. Elvis kept everything so there is no shortage of artifacts and memorabilia from his childhood through his later years. To be able to see where Elvis played music, spent time with his friends and family and even ate meals was impressive and nostalgic. Lastly, the restaurant. As mentioned I bought the package that included the meal. I expected overcooked and heat lamp warmed chicken tenders with fries but wow was this meal great. They had a selection of BBQ and more sides than you could imagine and it was all great! I was pleasantly surprised. Elvis fan or not, this is a great destination and tour. read more

There is SO MUCH  to see and do at Graceland depending on which experience you participate in. My friend and I selected the Elvis Tour, which included: - Self-Guided Graceland Mansion Tour - Access to EPM Entertainment Complex - Access to Elvis' Custom Jets We watched a quick video and then got on a small shuttle to take us across the street to see Elvis's house. Before boarding the shuttle, we were offered an iPad for an audio tour.  Once we walked into the mansion, we explored the living room, dining room, kitchen, jungle room, pool room, TV room, outdoor area, pool, and concluded at the family graves and garden. The grounds and house are very well maintained.  Then we proceed back across the street to explore the vast exhibits. There so much history and memorable to take in. I highly recommend at least 5-6 hours to get to experience everything. After the exhibits, we visited the aircrafts that have been preserved.  I highly recommend a visit to Graceland when in Tennessee. Especially if you appreciate Elvis and his music, this is the spot to get the full Elvis experience and learn all about his life. read more

Did you really go to Memphis if you didn't go to Graceland? We came here on 4th of a July weekend and had a good time. We were shocked that it wasn't very busy but we are not complaining. I thought you just visit the house but I was dead wrong. There is so much to see! We had the opportunity to see his outfits, cars and even walk through his private plane! There are a few different options available to tour Graceland, we opted for the VIP Guided Tour, since this was our first time and we hoped to maximize our experience. Our tour guide did a great job. Touring Elvis's personal home was enlightening to gain a perspective on how he lived his life. Personally, I learned how generous Elvis' was through his philanthropy and numerous donations to truly worthy causes, like St.Jude's Children's Hospital, as one example. Me and my spouse are in our 30s, so Elvis was before our time and we are not huge Elvis fans, but we both love music and we're driving through Tennessee, so thought we would stop by the King's house and pay our respects for his contributions to revolutionizing music in similar ways to the Beatles. Seeing his house and archives was incredible, especially with how well preserved most of the house and items are. Truly an incredible experience being able to walk through Elvis' private residence and seeing a piece of history. Even though I am not an Elvis fan, this was definitely the highlight of our trip or should I say one of the highlights of our trip! Graceland was amazing! It was awesome to see where Elvis lived and all that has been done to preserve Elvis and the overall Presley family energy! You do not need to pay for a tour guide, we paid for the ticket that was $84 and it included the iPad with the audio recording and that was all that you need !! The house was beautiful! I did not know that Elvis and his family actually have their tombstones on site, so that was pretty cool to see, it was a very surreal feeling. I learned so much in a few hours that I was there. I can't imagine how the Presley fans feel lol this was definitely great and I'm glad that we went. The one thing that I did not like was that parking was not free, I feel like if I'm paying for a ticket to get in somewhere it should include parking. You definitely need your walking shoes and comfortable clothes because we overall spent close to three hours there. When you arrive you park and you go to the main entrance and they take you into a room to watch a movie which is about seven or eight minutes and then you get on the shuttle to go across the street to the mansion After viewing the mansion, you come back over to the main area and you go visit all of the cars that he had as well as a lot of of the keepsakes l, there are also a few different gift shops where you could buy goodies from. read more

Graceland was a lifelong dream to see! We got the Ultimate VIP tour and man it was worth it. It included a guided tour with Kimberly (who was fantastic and knows literally everything about Elvis), personal attention to any details or questions, a nice shuttle on a hot day and access to some neat stuff. I mean getting to hold Elvis' TCB ring was a dream was ridiculously cool. I would do it again and I'd advise anyone else to get the UVIP tour as well. read more

It was easy to find and large. You pay additional for parking outside of your pricey tickets which is a little crazy. I feel like it could be included and they wouldn't lose any money. The lady in the parking lot box was super rude and wouldn't come out and get our money. She made us reverse and re pull up until we were close enough to her so she didn't have to come out and get our money. Once you park you go inside and start your tour. They offer free a iPad and headphones to accentuate your tour experience. I did appreciate that. There is a bus that takes you offsite and across the street to part of the museum; actual Graceland property. Once you are done there you come back via bus and look at other exhibits areas on the premises such as the automobiles, airplane, jet, seven gift shops, costumes, guest costumes, army related items etc. There are also two restaurants and we are at Gladys diner which had good burgers and chili fries. All in all I think we were there for about four hours. The merch was okay and could have been a bit better but it was a great experience and I'm glad we went. read more

While driving through Memphis, we decided to stop at Graceland for part of our mini-vacation. We purchased tickets online the night before for the Elvis Experience package. The price is pretty expensive with the base package costing $84/adults. This allowed us to self tour the Graceland mansion, entertainment complex, and custom jets. Our arrival time was 1:45 and we stayed exactly four hours. Give yourself enough time to see everything leisurely. The mansion itself is smaller; however, the museum exhibitions are vast. The museum is lest crowded after 2:00 according to their website; however, when we arrived it almost felt abandoned. Our ticket group was very small, parking was easy to find, and the entertainment complex was not busy. This allowed for us to freely enjoy the exhibits at our own pace without feeling crowded or rushed. Upon arrival we checked into the ticketing building and watched the short introductory video. I wish the video gave more history behind the life of Elvis or graceland estate; however, it was more focused on his accolades. As a group we were soon shuttled over to the Graceland estate across the road from the ticketing facility and given the option to pick up an inclusive iPad audio tour. The mansion itself did not take us extremely long; however, since it was self-guided, we were able to enjoy the house at our own pace. The rooms were preserved with original decor, furniture, and memorabilia-- similar to the way it looked when Elvis was resident. It is quite spectacular and powerful to see. The mansion tour ends with a visit to his family's graves and garden. Upon being shuttled back to the entertainment complex, we were able to visit the large museum that included Elvis's personal collection of cars, motorcycles, childhood memorabilia, costumes, and household belongings. The exhibits were organized by groupings, making it easy to navigate and understand. Each item was presented with information, time frame, and background knowledge to better learn about Elvis and the item presented. This portion was massive and took the most of our time; however, it was so fascinating to see the size of collection owned by the presley estate. It felt that anything Elvis ever touched has been so well preserved-- really showing the impact his music has had on culture and how large his career and status were while he was still alive. My favorite exhibit was 21-foot floor-to-ceiling display of Elvis' iconic stage jumpsuits. Overall, I would recommend a visit to Graceland to anyone who appreciates his contributions to music or American culture. The staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds are well maintained, and the entire experience was very enjoyable. read more

We visited on Saturday, July 11 at the 9:00 am tour. There was so much to see and since we were short on time we chose the "Experience" Tour. The only negative experience we had was when we caught the shuttle to travel across the road to Graceland. The guides were handing out audio equipment for the tour. I asked the older, African American tour guide (2x) if we owed anything extra for the audio equipment. She neither acknowledged or answered my questions. Those around me in line even noticed her "snobby and irritated" attitude toward my question. Visit Graceland if you have a chance. I just hope that by writing and submitting this review, the administrators over the guides will address with the particular guide who seemed "bothered" by our very own existence. read more

Honestly I have mixed feelings about this visit. Yes, it's a historical place, and definitely has its cultural significance. However, the ticket of $85 is hard to swallow. When I got there it's pretty dead. There are not many people there. The park is well maintained, clean, and nice. But other than just looking at the buildings there is nothing much else to do. Graceland is always a treasure to visit. I grew up in the Memphis area, but I never tire of visiting Graceland. It is an absolute must if you are visiting Memphis! The Graceland exhibits are all so wonderful and provide so much informative and historical information about Elvis, his career, and his family. I highly recommend the Ultimate VIP tour! It is pricey, but well worth it! You get to see artifacts and hold an artifact that is not available for the general public to do. It is a very cool experience! You also get a guided tour through the house and the grounds which is also really nice. The house is phenomenal and beautiful. It feels like you are right there with Elvis when you enter the doors. It is well maintained and so are the grounds. Make sure to visit the airplanes as well. They are really cool to see. The staff are all very warm, welcoming, and inviting. The diners on the campus have wonderful food. We had the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich, one of Elvis's favorites! We are in Memphis for a few days, and of course Graceland was on our list to visit. We decided to get there first thing this morning and on a Monday, hoping that it wouldn't be too busy and also trying to avoid some of the afternoon heat and rain storms that are expected. It was pretty easy to buy your tickets online, if you have anyone in your party over 65 there is a code to use online and you'll get a 6% discount. They offer military discounts as well. If you buy online, you will select a time and they will have your tickets available at will call. Just make sure you hang onto your order number as we had to provide that since they couldn't find our tickets, we had booked right before we left so they just hadn't appeared yet so everything was fine. The basic ticket option that still allowed you to tour the mansion was $81 a person so this is not an inexpensive day. There are other higher end, more exclusive tours that are several hours long and include lunch, but we didn't wish to do that today. You pick up your tickets and then you are placed in a queue and when they have enough people, they will put you in a briefing room where you watch a short video of some history of Graceland as well as the rules. There is absolutely no video allowed in any of the Exhibitions, you can take pictures but no flash. You are then sent outside and placed on shuttle buses that will then drive you over to the mansions main entrance. At that point, you wait a bit for the group before you to proceed and then they bring in your group. After that you are free to move at your own pace. You are provided an iPad that will have earphones and descriptions as you move along or you can simply read the different placards that are available and most of the rooms. We didn't want to carry the iPad around, but we would probably get one next time as the placards were somewhat difficult to read as the lighting isn't all that bright. It was a lot of fun to work our way through the house, see places like jungle room, the kitchen was really interesting as well as the outdoor spaces were very pretty. There's even a racquetball court that he had built at one point. The horses were out, but were quite a distance away, wish we would've had an opportunity to see them a little more of close. The pool is beautiful and the memorial garden Seems to be a special place as well. When you are finished with the mansion, you are sent to a covered area that has water and fans and a shuttle bus will pick you up and take you back over to the main museum area. The $81 ticket comes with 10 extra exhibition so make sure you follow the signs to go see them all. We noticed a lot of people missed a bunch of them! Also, look for the path out to the airplanes as you also have the ability to walk through those. There are rooms dedicated to his army days, his cars, Lisa Marie, and an entire display of all of his jumpsuits. His records are all displayed and awards as well as there is a room where you can watch some of his live concerts. There's so many areas where you can sit and watch snippets of the different movies he's been in, see all the movie memorabilia, etc. there is a ton of stuff to see here so make sure you allocate enough time. There are several restaurants within the complex. I noted the reviews didn't look so great so we opted not to eat here today, thank you to my Yelp friends for helping us avoid a disaster. The staff were all fairly friendly and appreciated a ' how are you today?' So that was nice. I'm sure the crowds get exhausting. All in all, we would definitely do this again. We were in Memphis visiting family, and we had nothing to do, so we went to visit Graceland, Elvis' house! This was a very cool experience and totally worth it. There isn't just Elvis' house in Graceland.. there is so much more. Restaurants, his cloths, other famous people outfits dedicated to Elvis, his cars, his jet, popular items during that time period...everything you can think of. It was a flash back to the past. So, the almost $100 ticket per person I would say actually is worth it. To start the tour, you watch a very quick but informational video about Elvis. Then, you walk outside to get on the bus to take you to his house. I really liked how they made you take a picture with you and your guests before getting on the bus. Also, because this is a self guided tour of his house, you could get headphones,free of charge, to listen throughout. But, I didn't want to do that so I skipped out on the headphones. His house is right across the street and it is so well preserved. This was so cool to see...he along with family members are buried there and we saw that too. After his house, you can taken back to where you started and you can go to this huge museum of different things. This was also pretty cool because we were able to see so much. We also got to purchase the group picture we took before we loaded the bus as a souvenir. This was about 3 hours for us. No need to come back because we already did it, but if you are in Memphis I would highly recommend doing it, even if you aren't a huge Elvis fan like myself. read more

So worth the price to reexperience the legend of Elvis Presley. We walked from the Guesthouse hotel which is across the street. We started with the Graceland tour. A shuttle takes you to the front door of the mansion. It's been wonderfully preserved. It was fun to see how much technology has changed. The house is quite modest in today's terms. Next we headed through all the museums. My favorite by far was the room full of his jump suits. They were beautifully displayed. He was a trend setter in so many ways. Even if you aren't an Elvis fanatic, the Graceland experience can be appreciated by most considering the cultural influence Elvis had on so many future musicians. His unique style and flair is well exhibited through his cars, personal belongings, movie history, clothes, and celebrity testimonials. To get the most bang for our buck as a casual visitor to Graceland, I recommend purchasing a "Backstage Pass" which provides 20% savings for 4 popular Memphis music attractions--including Graceland! I personally appreciated learning about Elvis' connection back to my neck of the woods--Reno, and more specifically, the casinos at Lake Tahoe. The wall of jumpsuits was amazing! My husband and I easily spent the whole day visiting his actual house and all of the various exhibits at the main site. I loved the iPad tour of the house narrated by John Stamos. It was definitely what I was looking forward to the most and it did not disappoint. Also, the gift shops are well stocked for each Elvis era and price point. I will note that the food at Graceland was not good. Essentially imagine the most basic concession food at an amusement park with high prices. My husband and I split a nacho and were not impressed, but we were starving so we had no choice. Haha! I wasn't expecting some sort of culinary "wow" here though, so I suppose it was sufficient. Made it Graceland!!! Birthday trip for my kid and what a way to spend a 16th birthday. We went on a holiday Monday in February. We constantly heard we needed to go early in the day and buy tickets ahead. We decided to chance it. Arrived at 915, they open at 9. We were able to park for 10 dollars at the entertainment complex front row. Walk up to the ticket area you can Vernon's steakhouse on the left and a couple gift shops on the right. We didn't try Vernon's steakhouse. They offer military discount which is great since the ticket seem a bit high to me. Paid 85 for each ticket and it was 8 of us. 1 child ticket. Well over 600 dollars. 6 of us chose mansion tours with Elvis experience and jet tours. 2 chose the elvis experience with jet tour. There was a kind women who helped us navigate the ticketing process and told us some info about herself and how she started there. She even sang HBD to my daughter. Mansion tour starts with a 8 minute video and then line to the shuttle to get taken to the mansion across the street. Ill write a separate review for the mansion. Back to the entertainment complex after the mansion tour and we are brought to the cars and a gift shop. Plenty of space to walk around and plenty of gift shops. Lots of gift shops. Basically mostly gift shops. LOL. A lot of stuff to see from cars, to jumpsuits, to a dedicated Lisa Marie exhibit, and plenty of items through out Elvis' life. One room I didn't care for was Elvis' influence on other artist. Jumpsuits and outfits worn by other artist or celebrities. As one man in the same exhibit said, "lets leave, I didn't come here to see these a**holes". But still cool to see how Elvis's style influenced so many others and still inspired artist to this day. We had a quick lunch at Glady's dinner. Pizza, chicken strip, ice cream and fried PB and banana sandwiches. Expensive and just okay. The diner was also kinda hot. It wasn't busy all through out the day and often we were the only ones in a exhibit. We didn't get to see the auditorium and some places were closed. Maybe due to low attendance or season we went. Jet tours are quick and not much to see. Quite a long walk to the jets and another gift shop. I am not sure if I could have left and came back. I would have chosen to eat off site versus on the property for a wider and cheaper selection. Everything was really clean and plenty of bathrooms around. I would have appreciated more seating in certain areas to take breaks or sit while my bigger party walked through the exhibit. Definitely plan to be there for quite a few hours 4 plus for us. We tried to rush through since we had a long drive to Nashville ahead of us. There is a conference center as well. Not open to the tours. It was a dream location for the birthday person and lots of option of gifts to buy. read more

We were at Graceland for my birthday on June 6, (yesterday) and I had happy birthday sang to by the guide. We (my husband and I) arrived late, because of my husband's prosthetic leg and him not being able to walk very fast. We had a wheelchair at the house, which was great. What was disappointing for me was that when we arrived at the part for the cars, (as much as I wanted to see that part), the guide was snotty to me, because "we made him run over time and he had to be back at the pickup spot again in 30 minutes," (he actually said that to me). At that point, I decided to take my husband and go eat lunch, because I was done dealing with the guide being snotty with us over my husband moving slowly. This was a birthday treat for myself and even though I enjoyed most of what I saw yesterday, the guide could've been a whole lot more tolerant, empathetic and understanding of the situation with my husband and the situation, along with keeping that snide comment to himself. The rest of the staff that we dealt with at Graceland yesterday were awesome though and the food was yummy. I'm not sure if I'll ever be back, because it's such a long drive from my house to here to see the house. read more

I remember listening to a Bruce Springsteen bootleg with him talking about his effort to try to visit Graceland. Bruce was denied, as Elvis was in Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe or somewhere, but he wasn't home and some of Elvis's staff came out and let let Bruce know. Did I enjoy my visit? Yes Elvis's place is an iconic spot in the history of rock 'n' roll and a fun spot to visit. The tour doesn't take you to all of the different rooms in his home, but it does give you a comprehensive overview of what was going on. We even got to tour Lisa Marie, his jet named after his daughter. Will you get a chance to buy some souvenirs? Yes, I have never ever in my life seen more memorabilia for sale than at Graceland. So, under the influence of being a Graceland, my wife and I pose for a picture of us and purchased that picture for $45. In terms of the monstrous houses that people can buy today, Elvis had a very humble abode, although very comfortable and creative for the era that he lived in.
