While Elvis may no longer be taking care of business, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. is keeping the King's memory alive at Graceland for Elvis superfans and casual fans like myself who want to learn more about Elvis, the Presley family, and Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker. Tickets for the Graceland complex - which includes the mansion and its adjoining buildings as well as several museums across the street - range from $51 to $225 depending upon how much Elvis is enough Elvis for you (plus $10 for on-site parking). It seems expensive but there's a whole lotta Elvis going on here and you can easily spend several hours touring the mansion, all of the various museums, and his private jets. I'm not an Elvis superfan and the price of tickets gave me second, third, and even fourth thoughts about visiting Graceland.. but can you really say you've visited Memphis if you haven't visited Graceland? The Elvis Presley's Memphis ticket ($51 as of September 2025) provides access to all of the museums at Graceland which feature Elvis' life history from his birth in 1935 through his (purported?) death in 1977 with a particular emphasis on his time served in the US Army, his movie career, his 1968 'Comeback Special' tv special, his bedazzled jumpsuits, and his recording industry awards; his cars and motorcycles; his private jets; and Colonel Tom Parker. If you want to visit all the exhibits, plan to spend several hours on-site. Stepping up to the Elvis Experience ticket ($84 as of September 2025) adds the self-guided tour of the Graceland mansion and adjoining buildings. Shuttle buses run every few minutes from the welcome center across the street to the mansion. Access to the mansion - which is most likely why you're at Graceland at all - is limited to a self-guided tour of the living room, Elvis' parents' bedroom, the kitchen, TV room, billiards room, the famous "Jungle Room", the adjoining buildings, and the meditation garden where Elvis and other family members are buried. The mansion's upstairs rooms - including Elvis' bedroom, bathroom, and office - have been off-limits to anyone since 1977. Visitors on the tour are also given the option of borrowing an iPad and headphones to listen to a tour narrated by actor John Stamos. Talk about a walkthrough autobiography. This is a whole day affair as we spent a good 7+ hours at the park and mansion. There is SOOO much information and depending on the ticket package, you can decide what you want to see We went with the package that included EVERYTHING (except VIP) which showcased his planes, cars, childhood and Elvis' music legacy as well as his military collection and earlier life as a father. The was mansion included in the tour and we viewed EVERYTHING about Elvis. Everything is restored or kept in pristine condition. Truly a memorable place for the King. Even if you are not an Elvis fan, Graceland needs to be on everyone's radar. That being said, while I am not a huge fan I am a huge appreciator of history as well as how much he has impacted the music industry through music, style and bravery. First things first, website is a little hard to navigate and there isnt much online in regards to what people recommend. After discussing with everyone in my group we decided on not doing the mansion tour and opted for the $49 one. I personally would like to go back to the mansion tour. If you dont care and just want a picture of the front you can go from 07:30 - 08:30 to walk up the property into the meditation garden where the family is buried. Its completely free and I recommend. Less crowds. Location it is on a busy street. The property does have accessible parking lots and shuttles. Tickets can be purchased online or in person. It's not a time slot kind of thing. I was prewarned that even if I didnt purchase the mansion the exhibits and planes will take about 2-3 hours. I will say it did take me 3 hours. Property is expansive. Exhibits are expansive. I will say that every state besides California gives you what you are paying and more. They make use of every space. Outline and give detailed descriptions. Honestly an amazing experience. read more

I did thoroughly enjoy my visit here but would like to offer some words of advice. First off, my crew and I arrived for the latest tour time and I would recommend booking earlier if possible. There are so many exhibits and shops to go through afterwards, which i'm pretty sure all close at 5:30. Also you definitely can get tickets on site and from my understanding do not need to worry about it selling out. Second, the house itself does not have a lot of information so I would recommend using the audio guide if possible. Fortunately my group stumbled upon a lovely guide who allowed us to eavesdrop and we learned so many interesting facts. Third, the gift shops are pretty pricy BUT they did have some good deals sprinkled around so keep your eyes peeled. Something I did love was how kind and knowledgeable the staff was! They were able to answer many questions from my group within the mansion. Fun fact from my friend charles: The room with the pool table has 4 football fields worth of fabric on the walls and it was magical. While they do not let you upstairs, if you stand near his parent's bedroom on the first floor and look up, you are able to see the door to his room. Overall, I am SO joyful to have gone here and DO recommend visiting if in memphis for this once in a lifetime opportunity. read more

Overpriced but exhibits are decent. Mansion tour was good, but again not worth the price. I hated the money grab with pictures but just walked through without getting one taken. We spent about 5 hours here and saw pretty much everything. There weren't a lot of people around so the atmosphere was kind of off. Dining is terrible--- ice cream store served us ice cream that wasn't even set and was dripping everywhere (they should not have served it at all) and the food from the cafeteria type place was cold. Major issue was the bus back to the GuestHouse at the end of the day. Not enough room on the busses for everyone and they only come every 30 minutes. Lots of angry, hot folks on the day we were there. Fine to do once in your life. :) read more

I suppose if you're an Elvis fan, you've probably already been here. The place is huge! It took us over three hours to see everything and we definitely didn't linger so be prepared. The first part of the tour (through his actual house) is via earphones and an iPad and sort of self-guided. After this section, the rest is on your own at your own pace, as much or little as you want to see. His trophy or records sales room and wardrobe room were the most impressive part of the tour for me but there's quite a bit to see including his airplanes and car and motorcycle display. I am a big Elvis fan. There were a lot of what I consider frivolous items (receipts for purchases, work done, etc.) that took up too much of the tour. By the time we had seen everything, I was definitely ready to end the tour. read more

This visit was definitely one that I will never forget. I just recently (in the past year) became more of an Elvis fan after watching a few of his life movies that were released in 2023 and he was an impressive human being. I knew I had to visit Graceland when in TN and I included it in my birthday trip itinerary. The day finally came and finding Graceland was easy. There was a ton of parking and parking is free. We visited on a Thursday and our tickets were set for 11:30am (mansion and airplane tour). We checked in and the lady working the information desk was friendly. She directed us to the appropriate spot and a few minutes later, we were directed into a small room to watch a quick intro / background video about Elvis. After the video concluded we were escorted onto the small bus. Graceland is located right across the street from the main building and it was about a 2 minute bus ride. I was surprised that the mansion sits on a regular busy street and normal traffic passes by. It is guarded though and has a fence all around it. We got off the bus and we were quickly greeted and taken to the infamous entry way. We were quickly briefed and we were then free to roam the grounds on our own. Certain areas are roped off and you can only view the rooms from afar. The upstairs is roped off and no one is allowed up there. The house has an "old" unique smell and I quickly felt and overwhelming sense of grief and I walked around with a heavy heart. The main house itself if not too big and each room is different and unique. They all have their own character and theme. In total we spent about 1.5 hours walking around the main house and grounds and we felt thankful and honored to be there. Our next visit was his airplane, the Lisa Marie. This was super cool to be able to walk through and get to see how he flew in style. If you ever get the chance to visit Graceland, you must! Visiting Graceland is much more than just the home of Elvis. They've really built it up to capitalize on the tourism - however, the extensive career and life of someone who passed away at only 42 seems to warrant it. He was and still is impressive. Elvis was more than just the "pelvis". He had many layers to him. He was in the Army, he was a twin (his brother was stillborn), he was an 8th Degree Black Belt, he was an actor, a humanitarian, etc. It goes on and on. By all accounts - he was a kind and humble person. It was very enjoyable to spend a rainy 4 hours here touring the house, the cars, the career, the plane, and visiting the gift shops. You do need several hours if you want to get the most out of your visit here. The ticket office area (which is where you'll also catch the shuttle to tour the Graceland Mansion) has a back lot type of museum experience with about 8-10 exhibits that span the life and career of Elvis. This is where you'll see his early music career memorabilia, movie career, live touring memorabilia with an impressive floor to ceiling collection of his jumpsuits (my favorite) and all his gold and platinum albums as well as his Grammys and the Presidential Medal of Freedom awarded to him posthumously. Additionally you'll see exhibits on his karate expertise, his time in the Army, his cars, his planes and an icon exhibit which discusses his influence and has notable quotes on him from legends in the music industry. There are ice cream shops, a few small dining options, a theater, and much more. I learned a lot and enjoyed myself. This has been on my list of places in America to see and I'm glad to have finally done it. read more

Memphis, TN. I'm not even going to get into whether or not this tour is worth it, it's pretty subjective. For me it was ok, but I wouldn't do it again. The tour guides herd everyone around like cattle. While waiting for enough people to fill a shuttle you must wait in this room and watch some old footage of Elvis that is only mildly interesting. I left the room only to told I'm required to wait in there. Sure enough, when the shuttle arrived and there were enough of us, another door opened to the outside and we were bussed to the mansion. They won't take a bus over until one comes back, to keep the numbers down at the estate. At the mansion they are still pretty bossy but one just gives into it. It is a step back in time for sure to see what luxury living was like back then. You are able to view the living room from a small distance and the kitchen up close. You are not allowed upstairs at all but you do get to see the basement rooms. By today's mansion standards Graceland wasn't all that huge. The stables still have horses and you get to walk around on his racquetball court. Elvis's father's office is open for viewing as well as a lot of display scenes that have been incorporated throughout the estate. The museum is very interesting and you could easily spend a whole day there. We did not eat there but brought our own snacks for lunch. The food choices didn't look all that great to me, but maybe there might be something good, but I have doubts about that. The car and motorcycle collection is just awesome. He certainly had a certain taste when it came to his vehicles. The family cemetery is right there at the exit, rather solemn display but still extravagant. I got lost trying to find my way out of there and that was pretty fun. read more

The tour is very well organized and all the staff is helpful and kind. On the tour at the mansion, the guides loved to share tidbits not included on the audio and are happy to answer questions. Even if you're not an Elvis fan it's such a big part of history captured and essentially frozen in time it's fascinating. Seeing old televisions, a kitchen that was state of the art, the 70's memorabilia. You cannot go upstairs to he master bedroom. It's only available via invite by the family. Even the staff for the tour haven't seen it. Across the street at the main entrance is the jets, the cars Elvis owned and a separate Icons of Music where famous musicians talk about the influences of Elvis on their craft. Plenty of gift shops and places to eat. Glady's Diner is a fun 50's themed restaurant. Overall, a great experience. read more

The neighborhood around it is really the hood. The property is safe during the day but after the park closes at 6P don't trust anything. The hotel is safe but it was suggested not to walk around and there are shuttles constantly going from the museum area to the house to the hotel. Bring GOOD walking shoes! The floors are concrete and it almost seemed a harder concrete than typical so my feet were pretty sore by the end and the next day. The tour starts in the museum area with a short video and then you take a shuttle to the house. They give you a tablet and some headphones and I would definitely recommend to pick up a cheap pair of aux headphones (I struggled with balancing my tablet and keeping mine on my ears as I walked through the house). The audio tour is John Stamos and Lisa Marie's voices and a bit outdated but still cool to hear their perspective. I felt a bit rushed in the first part of the house by the staff but once I realized that I could take my time and go at the pace of the audio tour, I enjoyed it so much more. I knew that Elvis has had a large impact on the world but I had no idea how much! It really opened my eyes to be able to see this. I really enjoyed seeing his cars and movies and gold records. I ate at Vernon's Steakhouse. I felt the food was tasty but overpriced. I was not expecting how it ran through me for the rest of the day. For a tourist destination it definitely feels like it is out in the middle of nowhere. When I was on my way here I actually passed it by and had to do a u-turn to come back to the entrance. And if I am being totally honest, a bit overpriced. I can understand if you are a die hard fan of Elvis, but the tiered pricing for an experience here is a bit outrageous. The pricing can be more than a ticket to an amusement park, with no rides. If you have the time and money, sure, give this a whirl. But if you have a tight schedule to adhere to, bypass this and put it on your list for when you come back to the area. We visited Graceland for the first time on a road trip. We opted for the VIP tour of the mansion, which included the shuttle, extra exhibits, and the planes. It was worth it because we didn't have to wait in line and there was a lounge to hang out in at any time. The property was well maintained, but there were some rooms that were hot and crowded. I really enjoyed the extra exhibits, including the movie exhibits and Lisa Marie tribute. They also had food on location, and we opted for the BBQ at Vernon's. We stopped by Graceland on the way back home to Houston. Little did we know that you really need to allow for 3 to 4 hours for this place. You take a shuttle over to Graceland the house, you get to walk through the first floor and basement and see all the original custom made decor which was really neat. No one is allowed on the 2nd floor as that's reserved for family when they want to stay there. You then get shuttled back to where you started and you get to walk through rooms filled with memorabilia like his outfits, cars, boats, Golden records, Lisa Marie's memorabilia, sound studio, private jets, the estate's garden where Elvis, his mom and dad and paternal grandmother and Lisa Marie and her son Benjamin are laid to rest. We saw alot but didn't get to finish walking through the museum as they closed at 6 and we got there at around 330. You get a discount if you have triple A. Definitely give yourself ample time to go through the whole museum. read more

I am not the biggest Elvis fan like so many others that are. I enjoyed his music just like most people. But Graceland was awesome. They have a very nice set up and tons of items to see. You could spend days here and not see everything. I would suggest going first thing in the morning and getting a VIP pass. It is well worth the money. I wouldn't do a guided tour. Very expensive and "touristy." Had timed tickets, but waited a long time (on a weekday in March). Too many gift shops. Oddly organized and many separate "museums." Staff was really nice, but spent a lot of time speaking loudly into their walkie talkies, which we heard all throughout the grounds. Couldn't see/experience much of the estate. I guess I'm glad we went because it was cool to see his jumpsuits and cars, but I wouldn't go again. (And I wouldn't spend money on seeing the planes - they were cool, but didn't justify the price.) That said, one thing that was kind of annoying is that you can't tour the entire house--they keep the upstairs closed off to the public, which includes Elvis's bedroom and bathroom. This was a must see while in Memphis. It's Graceland and the King of Rock N Roll. I took a million pictures but won't post them all here. You start out at the museum part which is actually across the street from Graceland itself. They take you over to the house on a shuttle bus. The house is pretty much the same as it was in 1977 when he passed. The upstairs is off limits but you get to see the rest of the house. You finish up by the pool where Elvis and his deceased family are laid to rest. After you return to the museum and see memorabilia, cars, etc. I loved it. read more

I am not a huge Elvis fan, but when I heard we were visiting Memphis, I knew we had to go there. When we went it was not crowded, but I do recommend purchasing tickets in advance. There are several packages to choose from. We went with the least expensive, which was about $60 each. With this ticket everything is self guided and it includes an expo area, Elvis' cars and planes, and the mansion itself. You get to see about eight rooms in the actual mansion. It was smaller and less luxurious than I was expecting. Nevertheless, it was cool to see the 1970's decor and taste of an icon. There are also some building outside of the main house to your, including the racquetball court/gym and trophy room, which houses family photos and memorabilia. The graves of Elvis and his family are on site. Seeing the plane was very interesting as well. The main expo, including the cars were a bit of a snooze for me. If you appreciate cars.you might be more interested. Graceland includes restaurants and even a hotel! If you are an Elvis fan, you might want to get a guided tour and even stay at the hotel, which is a shuttle ride away. read more

We came here for our annual girls trip in July. My grandmother was obsessed with Elvis so we had planned on bringing her as a surprise. I had heard a little bit about Elvis and obviously knew who he was but after being to Graceland, I have a whole new appreciation for the man He was and the legacy he left behind. Graceland itself is much much bigger than I expected. We got there right when they opened and spent well over five hours exploring the property. Started with a short film in the beginning, then hopped on a quick bus over to the mansion where they provided us with headphones to narrate the tour through each room of the house and throughout the property , it was incredible to see and hear about his family and upbringing and how his career took off in the impact of fame on his life. They've literally preserved every single thing from his life and have it on display with the story behind each artifact. We were also able to tour his aircraft and vehicles, but I think one of my favorite parts of the tour was seeing all of his different costumes. At the end of the formal tour, you end up in the garden where they memorials for Elvis, his mother, his father as well as his daughter and her son. Many people leave gifts or notes here. It's a really beautiful place.. At the end of the tour, they have a section that explains the impact of Elvis on other peoples music, which was really cool. They have a little café in the middle of Graceland serving some of Elvis's favorite dishes. It's a cafeteria style restaurant but the food was decent. I was told there is a bar on property, but we were not able to find it in full transparency after 5 1/2 hours of exploring we were beat. Going into Graceland, I was excited to see it but when I left, I was even more impressed. It truly is a one of a kind place and I'm sure back in a day. It was the place to be. read more

I am not a die hard fan and actually became more curious about him after watching the Elvis movie. The tour is a definite must do if you are in the Memphis area and have about 2 1/2-3 hours to spare. If you buy your tickets online, when you arrive at the welcome center, they ask if you want to a printed ticket, but they do not tell you that the ticket, is not a regular ticket. In fact, it looks like a commemorative ticket with Elvis' face on it (see photo below). Once you get your ticket, you enter a theater where you watch about a 10 minute video and then you receive your headphones and iPad right before you board the bus to go to the mansion. The mansion is in pristine condition and I am glad that I opted for the headphones and iPad as it made for a great and informative tour. The only part that is off limits is the upstairs portion so you never get to see his room. The preservation committee wants to keep the integrity of the mansion in order and they say that when Elvis accepted company at his house, he did not allow people upstairs. After touring the mansion, they take you back to the visitors center where you get to see all of his costumes, awards, and accolades, as well as a viewing of all of his cars and the inside of both of his private jets. Hubby and I enjoyed the Graceland museum complex. The shuttle from the Guest House brought us to the museum complex. We were able to check-in easy and was directed to an area for our VIP tour. Another shuttle brought us to and from the Mansion. The museum complex housed Elvis' car collection (the size of the cars), an exhibit of Elvis' army days, the Elvis movie and Elvis' two planes. Elvis' clothing collection was simply beautiful. We loved browsing through the receipts and paperwork, and were taken away by the collection of Elvis' music awards. My first pilgrimage to Graceland was in 1987, with a couple of buddies. We were 18, and when we arrived, we decided it was too expensive so we didn't do the tour. I finally got back here on August 2nd 2023. I've waited 36 years for this tour and it was worth the wait! It was an extremely hot day, (which may have kept the crowds down). My wife and I were shuttled with a small group to the mansion, and as we excited the shuttle there was another group just entering the mansion. We had to wait outside for maybe 10 minutes at most. Once inside, I was immediately transported back in time. Each room gave its own unique glimpse into the personal life of the King of Rock and Roll. During the tour I got goosebumps several times. There were many people taking the tour with us, but it never felt over-crowded; and for the most part everyone on the tour was respectful of one another and waited their turns for photos and selfies. Graceland's historical significance in the early years of rock and roll cannot be overstated. For anyone that loves Rock and Roll, I highly recommend taking the tour; but please don't wait 36 years like I did. read more

As a fan of Elvis, this was truly one of the most surreal experiences of my life. The experience is something worthy of taking your time and digesting every moment of the house. It's incredible to see the artistic detail of the house and everything that is inside it to keep it authentic to what it was. Lisa Marie's grave is such a sad thing to see in person. This museum is pretty extensive You could either do it all in 2 hours rushing at top speed, or spend a good 4-5 hours taking in all the detailed displays and trivia about the King! Even if you are too young to have been alive when Elvis was, a visit to Graceland is a must when you are in Memphis. We really enjoyed our visit here. How often can you go inside a famous persons house and see it as it was when he lived there? It is really like a little time capsule. Entrance is across from the actual house. You can purchase tickets here but I recommend getting them in advance as they are timed tickets and go fast so if you want to go at a certain time, get them the day before or earlier. We did the self guided tour which is great. They give you an i pad and headphones to listen to. The descriptions are short so you don't feel like you are totally attached to it. In this area there is also a lot to see including Elvis' cars, boats, planes, motorcycles, etc. There is also a couple of restaurants and multiple gift shops. You can also see his clothes, personal items, gold records etc. There is a whole building for Lisa Marie's personal items. You watch a short video before you get in line to board the bus to go across the street to Graceland. The grounds are really pretty. The house itself is not as big as you'd imagine. You cannot go on the 2nd floor where Elvis' bedroom was. You can see the whole first floor and downstairs where there is a game room, etc. There is also a racquetball court on the property that you can check out. The memorial garden is also on the grounds where you can see the graves of Elvis and his family, including Lisa Marie and her son. We spent about two and a half hours here including eating lunch which was more than enough time for me. I can't imagine doing the VIP tour which is 4 hours. But you do you. read more

Date of visit: August 10, 2023 I visited Graceland several years ago when in Memphis but returned as this was a bucket list item for my mom and the perfect thing to do when celebrating her 65th birthday. The place has really expanded since my last visit, there was a large exhibit on Lisa Marie and the recent "Elvis" movie that were not there when I last visited, and the film area was very well done. The Lisa Marie area seemed mostly empty and hastily assembled, not my favorite area. What hadn't changed since the last visit was the clever use of iPads and Bluetooth technology to give you more background into the home and its inhabitants. We spent five hours visiting the attraction--which is good given that this is not a cheap way to spend a day--and while I would not call myself an Elvis fan, I do have an appreciation for his work ethic and commitment to his craft. There are several places that make for great photo opportunities and only one time where you have to pose for the obligatory family photo. I do wish that they didn't print all of these out as you know that they will just throw away the unpurchased ones and that guilt helps fuel your purchase. I also came away fairly disappointed in the staff at the museum. There is no one to provide additional information or context, only folks to scan your tickets and ensure you aren't touching things you are not supposed to be touching. The VIP experience does get you a tour guide; you shouldn't have to spend hundreds of dollars to get a decent experience. read more
