One of my favorite thrift stores around now that my home town thrift shop has gone sky high, prices here still remain decent. The store is clean, and there's always a lot to look through. I've found everything from vintage toys and artwork to clothing, jewelry, and household items. The volunteers are genuinely nice and helpful, which makes shopping there even more enjoyable. I also appreciate that the dressing rooms are roomy and have large, full length mirrors, something a lot of thrift stores don't offer. The inventory changes all the time, so every visit feels a little different. They also have frequent sales on certain colored tagged items. If you enjoy thrifting, treasure hunting, or just finding something 'different' at a great price, Grace's is definitely worth stopping into. read more

Nice local thrift store that has good turnover so you should go every couple of weeks to see what is new. Prices are generally good but if an item has any kind of sought after name they always overprice, even if in poor condition. I find that very irritating. read more

I have always been a supporter of the thrift stores in Rockland County & Grace's is like my second home. It's a fun place to browse through and find stuff like pots and pans vases. The prices are much lower than the stores. The ladies are volunteers and they are delighted to help you. Most of the money goes to charity and grants for school so it a great way to give back to the community. read more

Lovely store and a regular stop whenever I am in Nyack. However, I witnessed an unbelievably cringeworthy, unkind interaction between a customer and one of the store staff. A gentleman was looking at some jewelry when I overheard the counterperson give him the bum's rush because he was a "reseller." She started with "I don't want to be rude", then proceeded to do just that. She was saying something about not liking to do business with resellers, and told the other counterperson not to spend a lot of time with him. Thankfully, the gentleman was classy enough not to call her out. Shameful - business is business and kindness is free. Suffice it to say I will not be going back to Grace's. I felt embarrassed for the store personnel, who had no qualms about dismissing a customer in that fashion. Do better, Grace's...you are lucky to have a spot in the great neighborhood that Nyack is. First, I would like to say that I find the women who work here to be very friendly and helpful, but I visit less and less. I used to love visiting the shop but over the past year or so, the prices have become ridiculous. Someone new must have come on board, hiking up the prices. I understand the shop raises money for charity, but It seems Grace's has forgotten that it is a thrift shop, and that as such, it also serves the local community by offering less expensive items for purchase. People can very easily find themselves in financial duress these days. In any case, I don't believe that most people visit thrift shops expecting to pay market prices. read more

PROS: the people here are always nice and they have a cute display in the front of the store. Everything is priced accordingly and organized too. Compared to other stores in the area this one is quite big CONS: It always smells like mildew and the stuff here is never of good interest. Their inventory also hasn't been the same in the last 2 years, very small amounts of merchandise. This was my 1st and last time going here. My 3 and 5 year old saw something neat in the window display and wanted to go in and take a look. My wife and I decided to take them in. We walk in and just like other reviewers say, the 2 elederly employees hang around the counter, they do not acknowledged you while you have a question, and just talk amongst themselves. As we went passed the counter because my wife saw some interesting toys for the kids, the employees yelled out "where is your mask?!" Over and over. I apologized and walked out with my kids. As we walked out the 2 elderly women who were still at the register said out loud "Some nerve." OK. I get it. You're old and frail and afraid of covid. But to berate us on the way out and after I apologized. Yelling at us In front of my kids? Come on. Not even a "Excuse me, can you put on a mask? Or please put on a mask for us?" My 2 kids told me they do not want to go there ever again because of the "mean old ladies" are there. Even my wife saw a gentleman in the store with a mask hanging under his chin, Not even covering his face. Not one word to him while we were there. I thought, sure, maybe its just me. Before I started writing this review I noticed I was not the only one. I get the whole co-vid thing and that certain stores.may ask you to put on a mask. Its human error to forget this and if asked nicely I'd gladly have my family put them on. To those who live in the area, wish to visit Nyack, or looking for vintage trinkets, I have only 2 words for you. "Stay Clear" or "Be aware". This is not what my family was expecting on our family outing. I wish that Yelp had an option to flag stores/businesses or give a 'No Star' . You may be reading my review and think I'm being harsh ,but i'm not the only one and no one should be yelled at with 2 little kids for again, a mistake on my behalf, even saying i was sorry and scolded on the way out. Best (and cheapest) boutique in Nyack with the friendliest staff! Went on a Satuday afternoon and got a pair of designer shoes for $7 and a silk sweater for $4. Housewares, linens, jewelry and kid's stuff too. They are more than happy to open cases or get stuff out of the window. Left feeling like a million bucks! read more

This place baffles me. There are $100 hats in the window next to $1 glassware. The multiple times I've visited the old women who volunteer here are always congregated around the register, loudly complaining. I've stood in front of them waiting to buy something (a dress during their $1 clothing sale a few weeks ago) and it took them a while to even acknowledge me. They have the smallest, least desirable selection of any thrift store I've ever been in and their prices are often way too high. They're currently asking $100 for a wool hat and $125 for a small telescope in the window. I can buy those things new at those prices. I understand this is for charity but it's just unreasonable, especially for the lackluster selection and ambiance. I stop in every so often looking for a good deal, since it's a THRIFT store, but usually leave disappointed. read more

The employees are nasty and talk about customers after they leave. It's a shame because shopping in the rest of the neighborhood is great.

Like any other thrift store, shopping here is a treasure hunt. Some days you hit the jackpot, other days not. I bought a like new London Fog trench coat for $7. I also donate many unwanted items and receive a tax deduction form. Even better, all the proceeds go to charity, so you know your money is going to a good cause. I think it's a great place! read more
