I somehow made eye contact with one of the women at the register. All she said to me from the register was "how are you, everything is 25% off." I smiled, took a pause and realized they have no intention of helping me, so I left and shopped at another store where two sales associates went above and beyond to help me find a holiday outfit with no mention of the deep 60% discount I would be receiving. I received an additional 15 % on text! I wasn't even shopping for a discount, so it was a pleasant surprise. Usually, this location has excellent customer service, so it was surprising. While the service was less than stellar, I purchased the tights that virtually felt like velvet. I had them for less than 14 days. One morning, when I went to put them on, I discovered a hole the size of a half dollar. I was horrified since I had a meeting and wanted to wear them with my new boots. I telephoned the store and I was beyond mortified with the salesperson's response: " Most likely you were careless and caught them in the zipper of your boot." Virtually speechless, I murmured: " I discovered this hole, not tear, before I put on my boots which my the way I do with the utmost of care. For years I have worn Donna Karan tights and had the same pairs for a very long time. Rarely there was a run and never, ever a major tear or hole! " Well," she replied coldly, " I don't know what to tell you. It's your problem." Every time I pass this store I think of the exceptionally poor customer service. It has tarnished my regard for the brand. It is rare a store doesn't stand behind its product, especially since it purports to be of the finest quality and carries a price tag reflective of its branding. I know finding qualified help is often an issue, but training them to problem solve should be a priority. It is very rare I return anything. I detest returns. But when an item is seemingly defective, shouldn't the deemed representative address the issue? If she is incompetent which may be the case in lieu of her insensitive remarks and complete lack of product knowledge, direct me to the right party to address my concerns. I have kept the tights to remind me of this costly mistake. Want Wolford? Don't buy it here.
