Sitsuphan got me in the best shape of my life which I owe to their top notch coaching staff. The coaches/trainers at really help you get in shape and keep you motivated. The trainers were nice enough, but it was disappointing that during the workout they seemed very distracted. It was difficult to focus on the warm up exercises they assigned while they were gossiping about students with each other. I believe the trainers are knowledgeable and I would get a good education, but the lack of focus and lax attitude just really made me unmotivated to go back. If you are not excited about Muay Thai then how can you make me excited? I also didn't like that they are somewhat secretive with their pricing scheme. I asked several times about price and was never given a straight answer. Makes it seem less legitimate. UPDATE: The owner reached out to me and I got the impression my experience was the exception and not the rule. Having said that I have already moved on to a new exercise venue and won't be giving sitsuphan another chance, but I am going to upgrade my rating to reflect my interaction with the owner.

I would take Saturday morning classes every now and then, with the owner, who is absolutely amazing and so kind. I was talking about this place tonight with my mother, and she brought up the fact that the instructors had so much respect for me because I had done something that no one had done in decades, and she remembered the last person to do it to be Master Pietro, which I don't know if he still works there or not. I had a great time here, meeting new friends and doing something active. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review was how some of the parents were talked to by some staff members. No one should be judged for their parenting, unless it is harmful behavior. Other than those situations, I had a great time when I was little. I eventually scheduled the 12:30pm Advanced no GI class and arrived a few minutes early, but the front desk interaction was so frustrating that I left without attending. The employee was a tall man with a strong accent that sounded Eastern European to me. He did not introduce himself, so I did not catch his name. He gave me a complimentary bottle of water, which I appreciated. I told him several times that I had already purchased the trial and was scheduled for the 12:30 p.m. class. Instead of checking my reservation or directing me to the class, he repeatedly asked where I had trained, what brought me to Boston, and what school I attended. The conversation was not aggressive, but he consistently ignored or disregarded what I was saying. He told me the gym did not schedule classes and did not offer free classes, even though I never said the class was free. I offered to show him my contract agreement from the gym and the text messages confirming the schedule, but he did not meaningfully address them. He became particularly fixated on asking which specific school I attended. He continued pressing for that information even after I asked what it had to do with helping me find the class I had scheduled. The repeated questioning made me very uncomfortable. He eventually said he was trying to determine which membership to offer me, despite my already explaining that I was not interested in discussing memberships and only wanted to attend the class I had scheduled and paid for. Not sure if this was because I was a woman and he refused to believe I signed up for this class or if it was because this is the gym's brute-force, out of touch approach to selling their memberships but either way, it was just way too much trouble to even attend on a trial basis. If the 12:30 p.m. advanced no-gi class was not appropriate for a trial student, that should have been explained when it was scheduled. Instead, I received no clear assistance and left because the interaction felt disorganized, dismissive, and overly focused on selling me a membership. A bit disappointed because the BJJ gyms I've been to have been so welcoming and encouraging esp for new members. On the T or not, I would pass on this place.

I had no idea they had a fitness room with machines + good amount of equipment needed to get a good workout in. They have one side that is geared towards beginner rock climbers & more difficult climbs on the other side for more advanced climbers. Workers are super kind and are helpful. This spot was not crowded at all and had a lot of open area to try new things. There is a video that they have you watch to get an understanding of the gym, and what sections are for what type of climb. The staff was also very nice in answering questions and making sure you are safe. For beginner climbers, you can climb on short rocks without gear and you can climb tall rocks with gear. There is a large section of the gym where you need a certificate to climb so those were off limits to me. Overall I spent about an hour and a half trying each climb. A very good spot to check out if you are a beginner or just need an open space to climb.
