But when we arrived the previous party was still in the party room and we were told that we would not be able to set up until 20 minutes after the start time of the party. So myself and husband had to leave the party to go and get all our stuff and bring it in to set up. It was very embarrassing that we had to wait In the waiting room while our guest arrived. This Just started off our party with frustration and no sense of structure. Also, The waiting room was unkept and not clean.

I had recent surgery and our instructor and other members of the team in the class helped modify, encourage and motivate you throughout the circuit. The playlist was jamming, tempo was fluid and i definitely built up a great morning sweat! My heart rate was definitely up and pumping! Everyone was so friendly, we are all here for the same reason to better ourselves so adding this type of exercising to the mix definitely changes it up from the normal weekly gym splits and cardio. The circuits are different every class, which keeps it interesting every time you come in. They offer 50 minute classes and you switch stations every few minutes, alternating between strength/lifting exercises and cardio. The instructor I had was AMAZING and super motivating. Everyone here was super kind and you can feel the high energy while you're doing the circuits, which just motivates you to push harder. I got the new student class pack and was taking classes before I knew it. Classes are great and so wonderful. They are challenging and the instructors motivate and encourage you to do your best and come to class as much as possible. They modify exercises in all classes if you have an injury. My favorite classes so far are Pound, Barre, and SparBarre. Next on my list to try? Pound/Barre combo and Strong by Zumba. I love it here, and truly feel like I belong at this studio. Sounds cheesy, but I do. I love the workouts, the instructors, and best of all, the atmosphere.

My personal favorite are her bootcamps and cardio kick classes. Katie Fitz works you out at bootcamp-it's never a dull moment between her circuits. She is definitely a challenge! They have 4 floors with boxing downstairs in the basement, bathrooms, lockers, and lobby area on their main floor, gym equipment with machines, cables, treadmills, etc on their 3rd floor, and on the top floor they offer yoga classes & pilates reformers sectioned off for C2 Body (sign up is separate). The music playing throughout the gym varies, depending on who is working but generally the music is great. Usually rap or upbeat music. When there is no class in session, you're able to utilize the boxing bags downstairs and also the top floor where yoga classes are usually held. I enjoy stretching and doing core on the top floor when the space is free & connect to aux to play music through the speakers! Parking: There's plenty of 2 hour street parking on Eliot St & parking spots right in front of the gym. In the girls' locker room, they have two bathrooms, each with a shower, and have mints, tampons, body lotion, & deodorant. Great gym to get workouts in and the staff are super kind, as well as helpful. Only thing I wish was that they could be open an extra hour later.

Bringing hale down a few notches. Since the pandemic started, Hale has had to make up for funding…read moreby charging people a $10 day parking pass or a seasonal pass which was fine. Since then, they have operated at almost normal capacity and now rent out the main beach, run camps etc. I think they can let go of the parking fee or at least reduce it. They claim it's to pay for things like roads and services etc. well I haven't seen one road repaired in the years I've been going. Because of the parking fee I definitely go less. I went yesterday with my two young sons and a party rented the main beach. We were told we couldn't fish off the dock but then gave us a little time before the party started which was within minutes of us being there. The kids decided to play in the sand and shortly after was told they couldn't because of the "party". Another woman was way off to the end of the beach with a baby less than a year old, and she was told she couldn't be there. None of us were interfering with the party and it just felt wrong for a Saturday to reserve a whole beach area to a party. Especially when the party wasn't using the whole beach. They should coordinate that a little better to allow for the public to use a certain area during times like that. They had about 7-10 life guards there sitting under a canopy. Maybe that's part of the problem as far as funds go. They need to reevaluate. Took me a while to get ready for a short day of fishing with my boys. Loading up the car, cooler, walking to the area and basically leaving after 10 mins was a wasted day. I could of gone somewhere else and enjoyed the sun. Was frustrating. The place could also use some upkeep to the trails and landscaping to allow for more areas to fish from. I've complained about hornets nest near trails where I was attacked one time and nothing was done. Keeping clear paths allows for a clear view rather than heavy cover where you can't see snakes (which I've also encountered), and avoiding ticks. Just a few things to point out since my first days of experiencing Hale.
