the boy that teaches the kids class is a little full of him self... I simply asked if they taught a self defense class with striking included and I guess it hurt his ego, I am simply a customer nothing more, him challenging me a 43 year old fat guy is pretty funny to say the least. Kid you're going get your self into trouble messing with the old guys. Very unprofessionally ran, to the owner I highly recommend training him to deal with potential customers, everyone that walks through the door is money, just imagine how many people and money he has cost you. read more

I have trained BJJ for years in different states and really enjoy this academy. It gives noth high level training for those who are ready to compete, while still making the newest beginner feel welcome and part of the family. There are a few other locations in the Vegas valley under the same primary academy, which you can visit and train with as if it is your same gym. Excellent place to train Jiu Jitsu, no matter if your looking for a place yourself or for your children. Gabriel is top notch and very detail oriented. Technique is core to each class. The academy offers a nice balance of Gi and No Gi classes and has options to train either in the morning or at night. Saturday morning also makes it easier for folks that work and need to get an extra day of training in. Lastly, great people at the gym to train with! When we started going to Gracie Jiu Jitsu we were happy with the instructors and facility. Then slowly the best coaches went away, which was a disappointment, but this is not why I give them one star. They receive one star because of their back office accounting practices. After my daughter received an injury and we stopped attending only 8 months into our agreement. We continued to pay the monthly payment as per our contract for 12 months, even though Mica told me when we signed up we can cancel at anytime with a 30 day notice. We continued to pay through our contract. However, even though we provided the required notice 60 days prior to the end of our contract they continue to take the monthly fee out of my account. I have contacted Mica many times by email and by phone calls. I have also contacted the company they hired to manage the account, Affiliated Acceptance Corporation, who informed me they do not do business with Gracie Jiu Jitsu any longer. Since November of 2021 I have attempted to cancel with them and they have never returned any of my calls or my emails. The contract signed is complete and the final date has passed, yet they continue to take money from my account, regardless of the contract ending, regardless of the fact I gave them notice as required in November 2021. They continue to breach the contract with me by continuing to take money out of my account after I have kept my end of the agreement and paid for months when we did not even use their services. VERY VERY unprofessional people run this organization. read more
