Thank you to the team for hosting us during our visit, but unfortunately, my experience fell far…read morebelow expectations--especially for such a well-known, highly regarded brand. I was referred through the Four Seasons and booked spa services while in town for a week. While I paid full price and tipped accordingly, the overall quality of my services was disappointing. My facial, in particular, was not up to standard. I've had a HydraFacial before, and this experience was noticeably inconsistent. The serums that are typically left on the skin were removed, which was surprising and not in line with what the service should be. Meanwhile, my friend received a completely different (and much better) version of the same facial, including additional modalities and proper finishing--this level of inconsistency is a huge red flag. The massage was also underwhelming. The technique felt minimal and lacked intention, especially compared to my friend's experience, where she described a thorough, tension-relieving service that clearly went above and beyond. I did bring my concerns to the front desk staff before leaving, specifically about both my facial and massage. Unfortunately, the response was disappointing--they looked at each other as if unsure how to respond and offered no feedback, follow-up questions, or attempt to address the situation. At that point, I simply paid and left. (I will add that our initial encounter with the spa front desk girl who gave us a tour was exceptional and had great customer service etiquette. Sadly, she left as I was changing.) Customer service unfortunately didn't improve afterward. I inquired about Pilates Reformer sessions, and the front desk staff were less than helpful. I also followed up via email and didn't receive a response until a week later--which, again, is disappointing for a business of this caliber. Overall, between the inconsistent services, lack of accountability on-site, and delayed customer support, I left feeling that the experience did not reflect the price point or reputation. I had high hopes, but sadly, I'm not very impressed.

They have a juice bar and other businesses like a salon. Fresh cold towels dipped in eucalyptus as well as dry towels. Mouth wash, q tips, cotton balls, tampons etc! Love that there's a basketball court, pool, spa and steam room! It's just pricey but you get what you pay for!

The stairmasters have been broken for some time now with the first one being broken for 2-3 months. One by one they broke & now they're all broken. I understand gym equipment can break from time to time but the fact that ALL stairmasters are broken, 30% of ellipticals are broken, a handful of treadmills, & the weight machines upstairs are missing pins, broken cables, etc is just pitiful from a gym like this. VARIOUS THINGS HAVE BEEN BROKEN FOR MONTHSSSS!!! The LEAST they could do is communicate to us what is going on & what they are doing to rectify this situation. I usually do not write reviews unless necessary to make a change to the establishment. I hope this review finds its way to someone who can do something Side note: this gym also is starting to have an issue with people hogging machines while doomscrolling on their phones between sets as they are "resting". If that grind your gears, this is a heads up. Side side note: notice how management only replies to "positive reviews"; this is a critical review from an intermediate gym goer(3 years of hypertrophy training) for some context.

I have to say. I do enjoy playing the rec sports at Mission Bay. I have played in their…read morerecreational v-ball league on Tuesday nights for four seasons now. The league has a variety of skill levels from beginning to intermediate. The teams are a variety of students to working folk. It's a good work out and the atmosphere is quite friendly. Location-wise, it's easy to get to by car and you can even take muni there. What's nice is that they also validate your parking for $1.75 for up to 3 hours. Way better to keep your car safe in a garage than parked on the street. The ref, Roger, is pretty fair and has been the ref for as long as I can remember. He doesn't call all the "illegal" plays but it's a more relaxed atmosphere so definitely don't play here if you want every single infraction to be called. The price is a little steep for non-UCSF students and there is no discount for the more people on a team, so the more the merrier doesn't really apply here.

My only complaint is that some of the teams in our "intermediate" league should NOT have been there. A lot of the guys were former JUCO or D-III players who were huge. I mean, come on, there shouldn't be anyone dunking in an intermediate league. Overall, a solid league to play in... I've since played in a number of other leagues around the city, and this one compares well. U n-monitored player skills led to discrepancies in competition level. C ost is comparable to most leagues in SF. S omewhat of a pain to get to... all the way on the Southeast side of the city. F acilities were top-notch.

The group meets inside Nike as usual, but now runs a few blocks down to Jessie Square for some warm up drills. The group is divided into about 3 sub groups, depending on your expected pace or mins/mile. There will always be at least 3 pacers for each group; 1 to lead the pack throughout the route, 1 in the middle to maintain average expected speed and 1 in the back so no one gets left behind. The routes still vary weekly, some days will have more flats than normal but if you're running 6 miles, you will for sure hit some fatty SF hills and/or stairs! ALSO *new* to the program is the Speed Run on Tuesdays held at Kezar Stadium. They're only 2 weeks into the new program, but I went yesterday and it was pretty intense but awesome. This training session is really different because it focuses on speed so there'll be a lot of intervals that'll definitely push you past your limits to become stronger and faster! Nike is getting really big with implementing these group runs not only in SF, but in major cities throughout the country. So take advantage of these great, and FREE opportunities!
