We are very happy with all of the teachers who are preparing our son for the sat test. So thankful to have this school here in Chesapeake.

I'm so happy to write about my experience here, because the past reviews had me heading to Richmond…read moreinstead. However, much has changed. The staff is so friendly! It started with a reminder call from Sharon yesterday in which I was told I could come in a little earlier than scheduled and also advised to bring a jacket or sweater if I'm cold-natured. I so appreciated that because I was wondering about the temp. Tests are stressful enough; the staff here took away every bit of it as check-in was a breeze. Breaks were a breeze. The restroom is clean with super hot water at the faucet. The lockers were clean. The temperature in the room was actually perfect for me, though I did wear a denim jacket. The cubicles were clean. And again, the staff were just really nice people!

I've taken a few tests at this testing center. It's easy to find just off Volvo parkway in the…read moreindustrial park area with lots of signage. There isn't much parking - only about 5-6 spots up front that seem to be always full (probably because there are always like 15 people taking tests) so you have to go park in the back because ALL of the other nearby parking is marked and reserved for the other businesses located in the strip. It's your standard testing center - you come in and you are greeted by someone sitting up front - you sign in and read the disclosure for the testing site about cheating and proper conduct and you put all your personal effects into a locker. This time was different because I had to take off ALL of my jewelry. I wear quite a few bracelets on my arm and I had to remove my tiny diamond necklace. Literally the only jewelry you can wear inside - AT ALL - is your wedding band/ring and small stud earrings. I couldn't even have a hair tie on my arm unless I put it IN my hair. Craziness. Once you go back to the testing room you have to pull up your pants legs so they can see your ankles, you have to empty your pockets inside out so they ca see what is inside and then they put a metal detector over you. It's no joke! You sign in and out every time you leave to use the bathroom or something and you have to turn in all the scratch paper and such that you might use while you are testing - standard testing site stuff. The staff are usually pretty friendly - and it's clean and clinical like you'd expect from a generic certification testing site. My only complaint is that when you put several people into a room where there are upwards of 15 people testing at once - some are typing for their exams while others don't have anything like that on theirs and, even with the noise-reducing headphones on, you can still hear it and it can get pretty annoying. Also, if you are ALWAYS seated at the first booth which appears to happen to me every time, whenever someone enters and leaves you are disturbed. So be warned if you are easily distracted bc you might want to ask them to put you in a corner or on the back so you can really get into it when you test.
