When I first took it to Ed he looked at it and gave me a price and the repair needed to be done in one day so the car wouldn't have to stay overnight just in case it rained. Ed had no problem working and adjusting to my schedule rather like other shop I found that wanted me to bring the car and leave it for two days. I don't let ANYBODY drive that car and am glad I found Ed Ed did a great job but I need to go back next week for him to replicate the carpet in the front that needs replacing. I brought my bosses vehicle in…read moreafter being told the inspection would cost $250, to determine what needed to be repaired, if the parts were available, and how much said repairs would be. Without ANY authorization or clear communication, I was later presented with a bill for $2,850!!! When questioned about the charges and asked for an explanation, the owner became unprofessional and confrontational instead of addressing my concerns. We were told it was a $80 part & $350 weld fee and the rest was labor! Rather than working toward a reasonable resolution, he insisted that the full amount be paid and made comments that I perceived as threatening, which made the situation even more stressful. By law, customers deserve clear estimates, transparent communication, and authorization BEFORE significant work or charges are incurred. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I would STRONGLY encourage anyone considering this business to get every estimate and authorization in writing before leaving their vehicle. Based on our experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this business.
