Hit a pot hole with our new car, damaging the rim on the inside edge so that the tire would no longer hold air. Being an 18" allow rim, the replacement cost was expensive. The dealer suggested KWICKSILVER for a repair, and so I went to their location off Cross County road. The young lady who met me at the counter was cheerful and happy to answer my questions. She looked at the rim and stated it wasn't too bad and they could fix it within a few days. I dropped it off late Friday and it was ready early Monday afternoon. No customer service skills. Company very unreliable. Said wheels would be ready on Friday and then I called on Friday and they said will be ready on Monday afternoon. Gave me the he said she said excuse. She informed me that she gave me an estimate and it showed 3-4 days and that I had signed it. I then knew that I was dealing with a dishonest person. I then stopped urging and said I will come and pick up my 4-wheels plus I need to get that signed copy. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that said closed for lunch with no times listed. Waited till 1:15 and I received 4-wheels and 4- tires. So in 3 days they dismounted my tires and removed the Senors plus a light Scott bright scuffing on the painted areas. I have owned a collision shop for 15 years and I can tell you firsthand it takes about 1.5 hours of work to get them to this stage and remember they had these wheels in their shop for 3- days. What about the signed estimate you asked, they couldn't find it. Now I have to take my rims and tires to a shop and have them mount balance and Senors put back in on my time and my dime. I have a silver lining I found, Alloy Wheels and they come to you and pick up your wheels at your home and when finished they bring them back to you, and they are less expensive. Unbelievable service, super helpful, and friendly. We traveled 13 hours to Charleston and in the final hour hit a pothole. We bent and cracked our rim. We were only in town for a few days, but Kwicksilver was able to repair the wheel, expedite new tires, and have everything done before we had to travel home. Brought in my GTI Detroit wheels which had been scratched at a friendly local carwash. These wheels are tough to fix, as they are aluminum alloy which has been machined. The gave me options including sanding down the area or sending the wheel out to be machine resurfaced. They recommended the send out option since sanding down would have left obvious marks. We put the spare on and sent out the wheel. The turn around was 7 days and when the wheel came back, it looked as good as new. They did a fantastic job powder coating my truck's factory wheels! They were even able to paint the plastic center caps while keeping the chrome Nissan logo, making for a really nice look. Eddie was thorough in explaining the cost, options, and process, and finished the work sooner than expected. When I picked up my truck, I noticed scratches all over the hood that I was almost sure were not there before. Eddie took my concern seriously, even though he too was almost sure his shop did not scratch my hood. Fortunately, they were surface scratches, and he buffed them out for me. I had a badly bent rim on my old Corolla and did not want to spend over $100 to fix or replace it. I was lucky to find Kwicksilver. I called them and went over right away. The rim was fixed in under an hour and for less money than I dared to hope for. I noticed a sign for headlight lens restoration on the desk of the (clean) waiting room and asked the price. It was less than the two other prices I'd seen. I had them do that too. (It was poor night visibility from my clouded headlights that caused me to drive over a curved lane divider curb that bent the rim.) My lenses are now crystal clear. When I said that I would walk to a lunch restaurant while waiting, the owner offered to drive me; and so he did. Great service. read more
