Then, just ten days later, my teenage son got into an accident and totalled his new car. Now came the rest of how this significantly less expensive coverage would work out. Every person we dealt with was patient, kind and a great communicator. They worked to make sure we had a fair settlement and we can start to work on getting a new car. I could not be more pleased with this outcome or this company and I recommend Progressive very highly.

I hired Gallo Thomas in May of 2017 looking to insure my vehicle. At first they seemed great, friendly and communicative. They got me a competitive insurance rate with Progressive and I payed 6 months up front in full. I signed all the paperwork online (and have e-mail receipts to prove it) and my policy was officially initiated. Fast forward to Sept. when during a downpour on my way back from college classes I was hit by a speeding driver at an intersection in East Greenwich. My car was completely totaled and I came out of the exp with a concussion and a very shaken attitude. At least I had auto-insurance, right? Wrong. Much to my horror, as I called to report the accident, Progressive informed me my policy had been cancelled for "unwritten reasons." I had received no notice of this from Progressive or Gallo Thomas (who it turns out, are bed buddies with Progressive), though they claimed to have mailed me paperwork. I told them I definitely did not as I NEVER EVER Would have been driving uninsured. EVER. When I called Gallo Thomas my agent had a snarky attitude and made a lukewarm attempt to figure out why Progressive did this. When he called me back, he basically blamed me claiming I had never signed my policy. What?! Was this seriously happening? I had my lawyer look into this whole thing, and when he subpoenaed the documents about my policy, he reported to me that not only did Gallo Thomas treat him with total disrespect, but they put up a fight, and upon receiving the notes there was absolutely no detailed documentation about this. Shady business practices 101. STAY AWAY or at least think very carefully before hiring these agents as they have demonstrated to me they don't give two you-know-whats about protecting their customers and will throw you under the bus if anything goes south.
