So much more to say, not enough time. Stay away! She won't have a 100% satisfaction rate, as she so call claims. I assume she just hopes people will eventually give up...just like she did.

She is very creative and has several times made suggestions that resolved an issue. A mediator is not an arbitrator and makes no decisions - she only can give her opinion. I note that an earlier reviewer criticized her for the drafting of the mediated settlement agreement. I have found her drafting to be excellent. I will also point out that each party and his/her attorney have the final say as to the wording of the MSA. If a party or an attorney does not like the way a proposed MSA is worded, he/she does not have to sign the document until/unless it is worded in a way he/she can accept. Susan is also an excellent collaborative divorce attorney. She was among the first attorneys trained in collaborative law in the state of Texas and has been quite instrumental in her collaborative divorce practice group. The same skills, knowledge and experience that make her an excellent mediator also serve her well in collaborative divorce.

We have all heard the horror stories of some attorney and their associates taking advantage of…read moretheir clients. This is without doubt, not one of those accounts. Michael Payma is far from one of these egregious esquires. In fact, in my recent personal injury trial in which he represented me, he turned out to be a bit of a rock star with his performance that led to a more than favorable verdict! I feel compelled to share my experience with Mr. Payma and his team, not only as a gesture of appreciation for their stellar services but also to help potential clients navigate the right fit for astute legal representation. Long story short, I moved back to Dallas from a brief stint in Mexico three years ago. Didn't want to jump back into a 9-5 so I thought it might be fun to drive a cab for a while and see what kind of adventures this hustle may lead to. In spite of the many madcap stories I have collected from shuffling the masses around DFW, I was unluckily in a handful of accidents. After my first smashing, I really had no clue what to do so I just signed onto the first attorney that was recommended to me which, was from the cab company I worked for and that happened to be Mr. Payma's firm. Lucky for me, Mr Payma's personal injury team of Melissa and Armando were extremely responsive when it came to all of my inquiries about my case as well as navigating a strategy to maximize my personal recovery. If you do not have a good team backing you up, chances are, you will be at a major disadvantage when it comes to negotiating with the insurance company who is defending the careless driver. I am happy to inform that my team flexed big when it came with dealing with these tricky insurance companies and after a year of going back and forth with offers, I finally received an offer that was in my favor without having to go to trial. Hi-fives all around for the Payma team!! On that account, one would think after getting hit a second time I would have gone back for help with Payma's firm but I was talked into a friend's friend who was supposedly a rockstar personal injury attorney. Sad to say, he was not. After six months and never being able to get in touch with this guy over the phone I ended up tracking him down at his office to find out what was going on with my case. He languidly took action and proceeded to tell me he had the best offer possible which, laughably didn't even cover my medicals. Usually at this point in the game, one is screwed because if you try and go to another firm, the original attorney insists on retaining part of your file/recovery. I was fortunately able to persuade this attorney to release my file without any repercussions. I immediately took it over to Payma's firm with my head hung low, knowing I should have brought it over to them in the first place as the grass is not always greener on the other side. The team laughed off my hasty decision in good graces and immediately went to work on my file. Unfortunately, the insurance company that we were up against was not budging with their initial offer. We went to mediation and again, no reasonable settlement was agreed upon so we ended up going to trial. Both David Payma (who was my go to point man for much of the pre-trial negotiations and mediation) and Michael Payma had no reservation about battling it out in court for me. The trial date came and the defense made a meager attempt to settle the day of but, we rejected it and went on to win the case with a settlement that was 4X what the defense had offered. On top of that, Mr. Payma really connected with jury, helped me look good on the stand and effectively turned the defense attorney representation the insurance company into a discombobulated dolt. It was really inspiring to see Mr. Payma in action and to see how well prepared he came to trial as well as his sound performance in court. And so the saga continues...after I had fully recovered from my second accident I was hit again in a hit an run that was pretty minor but a week later was completely compacted in my cab like a crushed soda can after being hit for the fourth time and final time as a cab driver...I finally took the hint and threw in the towel as taxi for hire. In any case, I made no mistake by going to another firm and called Payma's office to assist me again on this personal injury claim. We have recently been going back and forth with this insurance company and haven't settled yet. I will come back an update this review as soon as this thing is settled. Till then, if you are looking for personal injury representation, don't go to one of these big billboard shops/firms you see strewn about DFW where they just move you in and move you out like cattle for the quick settlement or go to a 'friend of a friend's' small operation where they tend to be for the most part inexperienced. Go see what Michael Payma and associates can do for you...this guy is a badass attorney...what more can I say!
