You know how eclairs have a hole at one end and they squirt some greasy custard in the hole to fill it? Not here!! She slices the cake in half lengthwise and spreads real custard over the bottom half and puts the top on! It's like a donut custard sandwich!! The glazed donut was good too. Fresh fried, not greasy. I asked what flavor the black and white cupcakes were. She said a marble cake with custard - which sounded interesting. Like real moist or something. I was shocked when I cut it in half! Think about the process she did to make these! You aren't finding cupcakes like these at a grocery store! They tasted even better than they looked! Haven't tried the strawberry bread yet, but it smells great and should make amazing PB&J sandwiches this week!! They also take special orders for cakes! I opted for the twelve (12) mini cupcakes for about $24 and one six (6) gluten free mini cupcakes for about $15. It was a bit pricey but felt it was going to be worth it. Delivery came on time and the delivery driver was kind and very aware of the mini cupcakes, so they weren't ruined. While I understood we were getting a nice variety for the twelve minis, we couldn't pick or choose as we ordered online and it was being delivered. When received we did received a nice assortment but it would have been nice to see what were the flavors, maybe a sticker on bottom so people knew what they were getting. The cupcakes were really tiny, literally bite size. Decorated nicely. The frosting was over powering which made it super sweet. The cupcake itself was a bit dry and no flavor, which I guess was good cuz then it truly would have been over the top sweet. I don't want to knock the cupcakes or the business as I see her cakes are amazing but for the price it wasn't the best cupcakes. They left everyone lacking. As small as the mini cupcakes were they didn't go as quickly, normally desserts are the first to go. Just a bit disappointing, but I am optimistic and next time on an occasion I will try the cakes.
