The eggpresso Toast is buttered and toasted the smell, Oh My Goodness. Comes with Swiss cheese, steamed scramble and chili flakes and a slice of Orange. Perfect combination and so filling. The smoked salmon toast comes with homemade thick cut of sourdough, toasted, generous portion of cream cheese, smoked salmon, dill and lemon. Just as delicious. Server did everything. Took our order, cooked our food and served it. Knowledgeable, great preparer and served us with one hand behind his back. Impressed. Fine work this man did. I would say that there is cold feeling to this cafe, it's hard to explain but it's missing that warm, cozy feel that might expect from a cafe. Service: - Great. Greek and Spicy Panini was great. Just the right amount of spices. Staff is always friendly and offer suggestions. Nice little place, peaceful has board games for the kids or playful adults. Not really friendly to outsiders, it seems. It was awkward and uncomfortable throughout the short time we stayed there! All very unwelcoming vibes! All for a hot cup of coffee and a stale and tasteless Apple-pancakes! Yikes! Might as well be a cardboard. The syrup helped it go down thankfully. The two workers behind the counter seemed completely disinterested, borderline rude, and impolite. But then again, what do I know! After 9 pm on Pi day and we were looking for a place to get pie. Copenhagen delivered! Not actually, delivered, we took the drive up to Tarpon Springs and found the place well attended. All of their outside tables were full, most of their inside tables were full so we bought two slices of pie to go. The chocolate truffle pie was just the thing, not overly sweet, rich but not overpowering chocolate flavor, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream added at home and we were very happy. We will go back I am sure. We prefer European pastry because they are less sugar laden than American pastry. read more

What are steamed eggs, you ask? Scrambled eggs cooked with the espresso steamer. So creative and the steam imparts a fantastic/delicate texture to the eggs. I got mine spicy, which just means chili flakes added. The sourdough had that unique flavor you can only get from sourdough. The avocado was fresh sliced. The food cases are clean and neat, and the display looks very appealing. I was Happy to see traditional pastries as well as meringues in all their light, airy glory. He chose Chocolate rum truffles and I chose one of the Belgain Chocolate Meringues, we were both happy. I asked about a Greek coffee and the order taker had no answer. When my drink was ready, a guy brought it to my table. When I thanked him, I got no response. What? He was silent. Even though it was 7:30 on a Monday I was greeted with a warm hello and explanations of the vegan choices they have. We stopped in here for some drinks and a gelato for my niece. After ordering, the girl that rang in our order brought my niece out her gelato. We sat there and waited for our drinks and the never came out. The two girls working behind the counter we continuously working making food and taking orders while a third employee sat in the restaurant on his phone. After almost 30 minutes I went up to the counter and inquired about our drinks and the one girl said she never got the order and the other girl, who rang our order, wasn't sure what happened, but they both apologized. I was waiting at the counter while they made our drinks. At this time the third employee went behind the counter and asked if I needed something. I said "no, I'm just waiting on our drinks". He then said to me that I could sit and they'd bring the drinks out to me. I said I had already sat for 30 minutes and needed to get the drinks as I needed to leave now. He got nasty with me and yelled at me to not lean on the glass. I was leaning on the display case, but was on the metal frame, not the glass. Anyway, he could have been nicer about it. Anyway, the drinks were OK (nothing special). I would recommend the gelato, but otherwise, the service and drinks left a bad taste in my mouth. Delicious Greek avocado toast, but should it take 20 minutes to toast bread and slice an avocado? I'm ok with dog friendly shops, but should the dog be sitting in a chair with his head on the table? Purple is my favorite color and now, Copenhagen Cafe is my favorite European cafe in Tampa Bay. OK, It's the only one but it's still my favorite! I've never been to Denmark but now, I feel like I've experienced a bit of that unique city here in Tarpon Springs! Amazing! The proprietor was super nice, moving here with his daughter and opening this unique cafe. If this is how they do it in Denmark, now we have to go visit! We enjoyed homemade sourdough bread, butter, cheese and salami for a snack. Then, it was on to the homemade desserts! I had Copenhagen surprise which was a sweet, dense cake with a thin chocolate topping. My wife had this chocolate meringue concoction that was also wonderful. As for coffee, they are made with a Nespresso machine so it's not your local beans-roasted-on-site-kind-of-deal. Still, Nespresso machines make a consistent espresso so it could be worse. Allrighty... Let's get back to the purple thing! The cafe is amazingly decorated with the walls in purple and awesome scan-design style furniture. The seats are incredible to look at and even better to sit in! And, for a final unique touch, outside is a purple bicycle decorated with flowers by the famous Tarpon Springs original, @flowerbikeman (on Instagram!).
