These are the best cupcakes in the world, not to be dramatic!!! The Hawaiian hibiscus is the most unique, fruity, and refreshing flavor you will find. It's incredible, and if you see it there as a rotating flavor, definitely grab it! We've had sugar darlings cupcakes for various events from Super Bowl parties to birthday parties! We love all of their flavors- haven't had a bad one yet! We love the raspberry white chocolate and red velvet. The birthday cake is also quite good! They are small enough so that you can try multiple flavors and not feel too stuffed. They are sweet, but not too sugary. The cake is light and fluffy and moist. The service is always prompt- we've ordered cupcakes ahead and they are always ready on time. The location is off the highway and there's tight parking shared with nearby stores. I first tried Sugardarlings years ago at a friend's wedding and have popped in off and on over the years. I guess I never did a review so I'm fixing that now! These are the moistest cupcakes I've ever had from a shop. They're not too big and not too sweet, just how I like it. They have TONS of flavors some are upcharge but they usually have plenty to chose from in the case. This 6 pack was all regularly priced and perfect for a family of 3 that can't quite settle on a fave. There are four locations w/ the original one (Tarpon Springs) which opened its doors approximately a decade ago. This Lutz sister store has been open 7-8 yrs. Izzy, our professional cupcake woman, couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful! She was the perfect representative for this cupcake chain. (Izzy actually grew up frequenting the original location, not realizing that one day she'd be employed by Sugardarlings:) The inside tables were unavailable today due to virus concerns & the state mandate. Thankfully, Sugardarlings has always been more of a takeout business. MANY cupcake flavors were available today @ $1.50 each (or $18 a dozen). THERE ARE A TOTAL OF 92 VARIETIES! We brought home four for $6 -- Chocolate Coconut (2), Chocolate Raspberry, & Mint Moosetracks. We are in agreement-- THEY ARE DELICIOUS! And they are smaller than cupcakes from other establishments, so there's less of a chance to overeat & 100% chance you'll save $. (My Maine grandmother was a phenomenal baker. These cupcakes taste so much like her's. The Chocolate Raspberry was my favorite bite.) If you preorder cupcakes & allow at least one business day, a dozen will cost you $16 instead of $18. Speciality Lil' Darlings are also available @ $2 each-- cannoli, alcohol, & gluten free. A dozen (preordered at least three business days in advance) will cost you $24. NO orders are accepted online, via email, text, or through the company's Facebook page. This is a wonderful little sweet shoppe & a great addition to the ever-growing Lutz area. The customer service here is A1! From the cheerful greeting & smile I was truly impressed My mother came in here Friday & purchased 4 cupcakes for a photoshoot we are having. Unfortunately she dropped them upon walking in the house. I would love if they were open longer hours because their cupcakes are beyond amazing. That's my biggest problem I show up and it's always when they are closed. Occasionally I get lucky but it's very rare. Hoping one day they have regular business hours so I can stop before or after work. We tried these cupcakes at a birthday party, absolutely loved them, wanted to try other flavors. The web showed an array of flavors, seriously, 90 and more, unbelievable!! So far we've tried only 7 flavors, still long way to go! Would love to try as many as possible, so definitely coming back. The favs for now are: birthday cake, chocolate chocolate, butter popcorn, white chocolate and raspberry. Also tried orange creamsicle, vanilla, s'mores, all are good too, just not as much. The cupcakes really are scrumptious, moist and flavorful, and just enough icing. 4 stars for the size - too small for me!!! 1.25$ per cupcake, I'd love to see a little more of it! I've been here twice now, and each time offered a completely new array of flavors to choose from! My favorites so far are the cookie dough and the chocolate peanut butter :) Their cupcakes are soft and moist, which means they still taste amazing even after 2 days in my fridge at home. Located in a Lutz strip mall off State Road 54--- there is also two other locations in New Port Richey and Palm Harbor. Decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. I had arrived at the end of the day so there were not many cupcakes left in the display case. Decided to get the 9 pack of the "Lil Darlings or mini-cupcake" for $10.00 a savings of $1.25. They had everything from Strawberry Milkshake flavor, Chocolate Chocolate, Red Velvet, Snickers, Birthday cake, and Vanilla. Purchased these for my daughter and she absolutely loved them. I took a bite of the Chocolate Chocolate and was temporarily paralyzed by its' decadence. (all of their cupcakes are made from scratch daily). Delicious and SO fresh! We ordered the chocolate chip, red velvet, Hawaiian hibiscus, & the blueberry pancake {drizzled with maple syrup} and what a tasty delight. The cupcakes were extremely soft, moist, flavorful, and fresh. They were decorated very pretty too! The staff member was so helpful in helping us select which cupcakes to chose! I have NEVER tasted cupcakes this delicious. I was hooked. Instantly! So hooked I came back three times the first week. These little delicious things are DANGEROUS. There are a bunch of flavors that vary daily - creme brûlée, cannoli (my favorite), birthday cake, etc. You walk in and the case is to your left. They always write the name of the cupcake on the window. They will also write the individual names on the clear box if you ask. That way you don't find yourself guessing. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. They don't serve ice cream anymore, so don't be confused by the sign. If you want ice cream, I recommend Ice Dreammm that's down the street. read more

DELICIOUS! I was treated to one of their red velvet cupcakes as a teacher appreciation gift about a month ago. Today we were out and about and took the kids to Xtreme Adventures and walked on over when we were finished to get a sweet treat. SO much to choose from. The shop itself is adorable and artsy, with several tables inside for you to sit and eat at. We went with a cannoli cupcake, an almond wedding cupcake, and a cookie dough cupcake. Our friends got a peanut butter cup cupcake and some ice cream. The almond wedding cupcake was the best. The icing was sweet and had everything had the right hint of almond and amaretto. The cookie dough was delish, with icing hidden inside the cake. The cannoli was okay, it sort of lacked that special something. They refrigerate the cupcakes, as well, and this might take away from some of the flavors a bit. They rotate their flavors around daily, and you can become a fan on facebook to see the flavors of the day. Cupcakes are around $2 a piece, which is competitive in the gourmet cupcake world. They have a couple of other locations, this is not the main one. The girl working the counter was friendly and helpful. They stay busy there icing cupcakes and filling custom orders.
