David Lish represented my son in a criminal case after he was accused of something he didn't do years ago when he was a minor. Throughout the entire 14 months he represented my son, he remained "on the fence" and, at times, even sided with the prosecutor! At no point did he ever fight for my son's rights or innocence. Then, suddenly and without warning, right in the middle if my son's case, Mr. Lish left the law firm (to partner in a new one). No email or phone call letting us know. He didn't even notify the court!! This is a clear violation of the ethics he has a duty to uphold!!!!! What kind of defense attorney, who basically holds the life and freedom of his clients, does that?!?!?!?!?! Mr. Lish has always boasted about his "good & well known reputation" and his knowledge of the law. Honestly, I had never heard of him throughout all the research I had done when trying to find a good lawyer to represent my son. The only reason we retained him was because he was all we could afford & didn't want to go with a public 'pretender'.......though now I can't help but wonder if that might've been the better option. In regards to Mr. Lish's knowledge of law and the statutes, I can honestly say he lacks in that area too. Although I do have great research abilities, I have absolutely no background in law, yet I am the one who found the statute my son's case ended up focusing on and building around when it came time for plea negotiations!!!!!!! If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you like he would for himself, who will represent you in the best way possible & in YOUR best interests, provide effective representation by having knowledge of the statutes, is not afraid to go to trial, will believe in you (especially after providing a plethora of evidence proving you did not do what you were accused of), and performing the actions necessary to keep you out of jail while also providing you a chance for a good future - instead of simply doing the bare minimum that will still show a "win" for him - then Mr. David Lish is NOT the attorney for you!!!! read more

I hired another law firm that I was very happy with in the Past. Unfortunately, the attorney I hired passed away halfway through my legal proceedings and I had to scramble to find another firm /attorney to represent me. I did some quick research, read some reviews and it came down to two firms. The 1st firm, didn't answer the phone and took about 2 days to return my call.
