This was a souvenir shop that was down the street from our hotel at the Grand Canyon. There were a lot of various items to select from in this shop. I ended up purchasing several Geode w/quartz dangle at $12.99 and rose quartz arrowhead w/pink at $6.99. Many of the items in this shop were nicer than many souvenir shops. read more

We were disappointed in not only the selection, but also the prices for pretty mediocre quality of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and caps. Nice baseball caps in the park shops were only $25 compared to $27 here. T-shirts were about the same price, but the shops in the park had nicer designs. There were some deals like a cap and t-shirt for about $27, but basic boring design. If you're looking forGrand Canyon souvenirs, spend the extra money and buy them in thepark where your purchasegoes to support the park. read more

I read about this shop here on Yelp and saw comments about the staff not being friendly. Well, maybe they got the message, I dunno. Because we went there and the staff was VERY helpful and genuinely friendly, probably mores than most places you'll go to. We went to a lot of gift shops in the park itself, and none had the selection The Grand Canyon Trading Post has and the prices on the exact same items were better than the shops inside the park. If you want a GREAT selection of gifts and souvenirs and very helpful and friendly staff to assist you, this is the place! Go get some fun stuff folks! :-) read more

I wish we had more time to spend here. This is a lovely store with a diverse selection of wares. Beautiful Navajo pottery and jewelry to kitschy key chains and fridge magnets; there is something for everyone! The people there are friendly and welcoming and happy to answer questions about their goods. We were only in there briefly but came away with several treasures including a beautiful Navajo inspired knit sweater, a leather dreamcatcher, a wooden owl magnet studded with turquoise chips and a book about the ghosts of Route 66. You know, something for everyone! Anyway, be sure to check this place out. It's great. read more

On a extremity-numbing November night, I was ambling down the sidewalk on Highway 64 in the neophyte town of Tusayan. Small, unassuming (well, maybe a little assuming), the town has become a hub for tourists visiting a little hole-in-the-ground known as the Grand Canyon. The best place to buy souvenirs or Native American wares in this town (and in towns for miles around). However, I say: Proceed with caution if you journeys are taking you 60 miles east to the Cameron Trading Post, as Cameron has WAY more stuff. Then again, there are little things that make GCTP unique (and jewelry, the mainstay consumer product for tourists in the Southwest, always varies). There's also a local element as nearby artist have contributed with their art, with their handmade Kachina dolls, with their wood-carvings, with their colorful pottery, and with their hand-woven Zapotec blankets that make the place one-of-a-kind. There isn't much around here to choose from when it comes to gift shops, but on our way back out to I40, we stopped for the kids to get some souvenirs. My girls each picked out something small and were happy with what they got. My son picked out a compass/thermometer which the after changing directions a couple of times, we were still going North, (but in reality, south and west.). Then, the temperature was consistently 80 degrees even when inside a hotel room that said it was 72 degrees. So basically, that ended up being junk. My wife claimed there weren't too many options in the store that were somewhat reasonably priced so I think we'll pass next time. read more

So we ended up visiting the store twice. We love the T-shirt selection and ended up buying a men's, women's, and child's T-shirts. My tween daughter rarely agrees to Tshirt souvenirs because of design but she found these to be very appealing. We also bought jewelry knickknacks and pottery. I just want to thank the very pleasant woman at the register for giving my pottery to her fellow coworker ( a man) who did an excellent job wrapping our potteryFor the flight home. I ended up dropping my carry-on bag at the airport and yet the pottery went unscathed. The lady at the register told me her coworker was a wrapping talent. She was right!! I'm sorry to not have used names in this review as I like to give credit where credit is due but I didn't see name tags nor were there names on the receipt. Good stop on the way to Grand Canyon. Many souvenirs which tend on the pricey side. Busy restaurant sharing regional fare. Try the Navajo Taco which features fry bread- tasty but huge! Walk the grounds, some nice garden areas where we saw a number of entertaining roadrunners. read more

Their hours are incorrect. I'm here 7/7/2022. They close for lunch 12:30 PM-1:30 PM daily and close at 5:00 PM daily. I was yelled at by the older man, it's because they're short staffed. I suggested he update his hours. He wasn't happy with me. Products are nice but you can get them anywhere in the area. read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I went in this store with my mom. I had forgetten I got out my car and had my facemask half way up. The man behind the counter yelled out for me to have my mask on. Then I aplogized and quickly put it up. Then I look around the store and noticed a lady not wearing a mask. I told the old guy behind the counter. You tell me to wear my mask but you don't tell her to wear hers. What is this you pick choose who to wear a mask? And no there was not much people in there for them not to notice who or was not wearing one. The staff herewas very unfriendly. We ended up not buying anything. Just the way theses workers made you feel, won't make you want to buy anything. Definitely need a turn around with the kind of staff they have here. SMH!!!! read more

Place has some neat things, but the older male cashier glares at every person that walks into the store maskless. (They are not required, and he wears one). No "welcome in" or "hello". Just very rude and unfriendly. Even when we made our purchase, he still didn't say a word. It was very awkward. Probably wouldn't go here again because of the customer service. read more

This store was nicer than I thought in prices and decor but unfriendly in service (all white men.) My mom bought a metal Kokopelli art piece that she she said she has seen for $300 at art shows and was $119 here. The guy that got the ladder for her and rang it up and wrapped it up was unsmiling. I wish 0 stars was an option! Older Middle Eastern man at the counter didn't say a word when I walked in, just glared at me the entire time I was in the shop. He even hovered over my shoulder like I was going to steal something when I was looking at stickers. They have a large selection of jewelry that is claimed to be be handmade by local Native American tribes. I asked an older Asian woman who was an employee sweeping the floor next the the jewelry stand if she knew which tribe they came from she ignored me at first then when I asked again she hissed "PROBABLY CHINA!" rolled her eyes and walked away. I was STUNNED, put every souvenier I had in my hands back where I found it and left immediately. JERKS! read more

We've been to a lot of trading posts and gift shops on our visit to the Grand Canyon. This store is just outside the Grand Canyon and we ended up buying some stuff. The store is neat and spacious, but some of the prices were not too good. However, they did have a number of things that were okay priced. So, for that I give it a 3 star. However, for friendliness and customer service, I give it a 1 star. We were nice and we bought stuff. We were not reckless or loud or anything. But we found the cashier and some of the staff working there just really subpar in their service and friendliness. Save your money and if you have to spend money and the prices are similar at all the places, find a place where people are actually nice. I'm thinking this town really stinks at some of their service and customer friendliness. And, I would have to say that most of the unfriendly customer service people were non-white people, with the exception of 1 person in this little town. read more

You can buy the "Desert Tea" mix that's "Made in Arizona" here!! It's sold in jars with the lids covered by pink paper! My friend & I compared the pricing to another city & it's slightly cheaper here for a greater quantity. Worth the price, naturally sweet & so delicious cold or hot. I wish I had bought multiple jars here because it would have been a great gift/souvenir! Cool shop; it had different items that are nice to browse/buy as a tourist. The cashier lady was sweet - I liked how she said "Have a Grand day" - seeing as we were so close to the Grand Canyon! read more

I loved our stay here! Nice bathroom with plenty of space, very comfortable beds and great balcony. I really liked the latte bar and proximity to the park. I had read some bad reviews and was nervous but that was quickly resolved by the kind staff at check in to everyone we encountered. The place is much nicer than anything else we have seen up here! read more
