09/26/2023 This was a good stop since there is a gift travel shop to look through and restrooms. Get out and stretch your legs and take a look at the classic cars around the corner of the building. Don't go across the street to Bedrock City. Rude customer service there from the gift shop workers, maybe part of the Raptor Ranch. You have to walk through that gift shop just to get to Fred's Diner. You could take your chances over there or continue shopping here. Here, you get snacks and drinks for your drive to the National park up north or down to Route 66. You have options in my opinion. This pit stop here is well worth the stars. Almost everyone in my vehicle got out and a few people bought something besides me putting gas in the vehicle. If we wanted to stay longer, I would have suggested that taco truck in the parking lot with a giant beverage from inside the Chevron portion.

Absolutely appreciated the vintage cars outside! A great Southwest souvenir shop! Moccasins, fur rugs, cowboy hats & belts. Also a public restroom. Highly recommend

Stopped by right before getting to the Grand Canyon for a quick pit stop. Bathrooms were clean, employees were working hard, and the Knick knacks were cute. I ended up getting 2 different designs of pressed pennies for my collection. Overall a pretty average tourist oriented travel center, but I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 because I couldn't find pressed penny machines anywhere else and I appreciated being able to add to my collection.

A good stop for whatever before heading out for grander places (aka The Grand Canyon). Easy to spend lots here; there's lots to spend on. Not only gas but good snacks and decent trinkets, too. Not like there's anything wrong with that!

Huge and beautiful amethyst! Great store!

Made a quick pit stop as we traveled to Sedona. This is a one stop shop! They have everything you can think of. A ton of gifts, souvenirs, clothing, jewelry and accessories. I had to refrain from buying things! But i managed to grab my snacks and leave without overspending. Definitely a great stop!

Well, well, well! We definitely felt that we fit the touristy scene at this travel stop & shop! Following our first day in Williamz, AZ, we wanted to stock up on some awesome snacks, and found Valle Travel Stop & Chevron is beyond the gas station experience. We spent 1 hour max, looking at a combination of a vintage car show, dummies dressed in 1950's era. Betty Boop, Coca Cola, Native American belts and boots were seen here. I saw gifts for every age, gender and special occasion. The route 66 signage was definitely displayed everywhere and I was intrigued to see it, as I only visited Santa Monica and Long Beach (Route 66.) This place is sooo much fun, but definitely a tourist stop for sure. They have a gas station service, with coffee, lottery tickets, local snacks etc., I really enjoyed it. There is the famous Fred's Diner across the street, a couple of other small businesses, but nothing much for miles.

Don't be distracted by words like "truck stop" or "gas station". These only scratch the surface of what you'll find at Valle. First of all, it's a great location to stop. Valle is at the crossroads of U.S. Route 180 and SR 64 ... so whether you're heading south to Flagstaff or north to the Grand Canyon, it's the perfect time in a road-trip to get out and stretch. It's also in spitting distance of the Planes of Fame Museum, Bedrock City (a Flintstones-themed eatery and campground), and Double Eagle Trading Company, all great places. If you decide to make it a day in Williams, you'll fill the day up quick! Inside Valle, you'll find a convenience store stocked with about anything you could possibly need. You're likely to run into a turquoise junkie in the store: They've got an ample stash Native American Jewelry with rare "White Buffalo" Turquoise (exclusive to the White Buffalo Mine in Tonopah, Nevada). They also have ample Native American items, mainly Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni: Jewelry, Kachina dolls, hand-woven Navajo rugs, dreamcatchers, ceramics, and sand paintings ... to name a few. Don't forget to walk around outside! Past the gas station and main store, there's a great display of about a dozen antique cars. It's a little piece of 1950s heaven. Valle isn't a pit-stop ... it's a must-stop!

Great place to atop and look around tons of souviners and Indian craft plus unique gifts. They also have classic cars and some antiques. Great place to stretch you legs and look around on your trip from Williams to the Grand Canyon

There was a western wear shop inside this location. It was almost like stepping foot into some portal that lands you in Wyoming. Good selection of stuff like post cards, fridge magnets, and other tourist goodies. Clean bathrooms but fuel is expensive.

One of the best souvenir shop near the grand canyon. Full of miscellaneous and odd gifts. They have cowboy boots, route 66 stuff, old coca cola memorabilia, jewelry, fridge magnet, clothes, and more. Prices are actually reasonable for being it in the middle of nowhere. I highly recommend stopping here before and after the grand canyon. Also, clean restroom and great place to grab drinks and snacks.

Old school cars and gas station on site.

Kathy is the souvenir section was so polite and filled with information in the area. She welcomed us with a smile and gave best wishes when departing. All three stars are for her!!! However... Kristina that checks out on the side with the snacks is so rude. I walked up, checked out and received change and she never said "hello" or "thank you/Goodbye" etc.... Her entire attitude was just off putting. So if it was solely for her this would be a one star. Get it together girl. Bathrooms: Clean. Cute fountain sink. Air dryers, which the green part of me loves. However, I like to use tissues to open the doors. I would return if I was in the area for Kathy, but they seriously need to train Kristina better.

Bought a $50 ring only for the stone to fall out 2 hours later after buying. Would not recommend buying jewelry from there.

Oh my goodness! This is the largest gift shop with all the handmade gifts in this part of America!…read more I found Cameron Trading Post during my drive from Page to Sedona. There is a restaurant, hotel and a giant gift shop in the building. The amount of amazingly beautiful handmade jewelry, pottery and accessories ... just mind blowing! Very hard to walk away from buying anything, so be prepared to spend some serious money here! Besides more turquoise jewelry, I also bought some Prickly Cactus Pear Jelly, and a Prickly Cactus Pear Marmalade. There are multiple cashier counters, so you don't have to worry about waiting in line for too long. The cashiers are very nice and helpful with any questions you may have. Taking pictures or videos without permission is not allowed! It's a great place to stop during your trip, for a restroom break, or shopping or just a scenery around the area.

Guessing based on their breakfast that their lunch/ dinner is good... but it's hard to find good breakfast places and this is definitely one! * Highly recommend the Warrior Surprise and the Ranch Hand. *The Navajo taco with an egg anyway you want it... not only tasty but such a huge portion. Get the fresh onions and salsa on the side and you can decide how much you want if it. * The country fried steak was tender and that is some of the best gravy that comes with the Ranch Hand. Recommend opting for the fry bread for an extra 1.75... totally a treat! *Service was attentive and friendly * Dining room views of the outside was pretty. * Didn't stay at the lodge but would consider it given the pretty landscaping and access to a restaurant within walking distance... a good restaurant. *Clean restrooms *Can get busy when tour busses stop *Def will return

Navajo Blue Travel Plaza - Pinon Nut Rootbeer

    Navajo Blue Travel Plaza

We weren't originally planning on visiting Navajo Blue Travel Plaza, but after seeing bottles of…read moreNavajo Fizz soda at some shops around the Navajo Nation, we saw the main bottling location was at Navajo Blue! Of course we had to give it a visit on our way out of Flagstaff. Blue Corn Mush ($5) - This is pretty smooth, blended well similar to fine grits in texture. The flavor is totally different with a slight bitterness and a ton of corn flavor that's quite a bit different from typical sweetcorn. There's a certain savory quality that I wouldn't quite call smoky, I wonder if it's from the juniper ash? The mush isn't seasoned at all, so just the light natural flavors shine. Navajo Fizz 12oz Bottle ($2.49 each or 4 for $9.69) - We tried four of the flavors Pinon Root Beer - This has a rather medicinal root flavor, although different from typical root beer. There's a harsher root flavor that goes up the nose. It has a pretty pleasing sweetness level from cane sugar; I'm surprise they manage to get it so sweet with only 15g listed in the ingredients (to be honest, I think the label is lying given that the other sodas have way more sugar). There's a good light fizzy level, a gentle fizz, not harsh. I wouldn't say that the drink is a very strong pine nutty in flavor. It is a rather unique root beer flavor; I don't normally like root beer, but I really enjoyed this one. Greenthread Tea - Hmm not sure I like this one too much. It tastes kind of like those lemon honey flavored cough drops with a slight earthy flavor that comes later. I'd love to get some greenthread by itself to try out what it actually tastes like. Edit: A couple of days later I picked up some greenthread tea from a flea market vendor. It tastes kind of like chamomile with a hint of mint, so not really this soda flavor profile. Sumac Berries Strawberry - Woah, this one is really good. It actually tastes like fresh strawberry, with all the complex aromas and flavors, not the flat artificial strawberry taste. I'm really impressed with it. It's the best strawberry soda I've ever had. I'm not really sure what sumac berries taste like though! Peaches & Cream - Another amazing soda, this time a fresh peach juice flavor with cream added. It's like drinking carbonated peach juice. I normally don't like grape flavored soda since it usually tastes so artificial, but considering how good the fruit sodas are here, I regret not buying that flavor as well. Heck, I should have bought a ton more soda of every variety to tide us over the next 2 weeks of our trip! It's really some excellent soda. Unfortunately, none of the other shops in the Navajo Nation I visited afterwards stocked Navajo Fizz! The travel plaza also sells all sort of Navajo cuisine staples. Stuff like roasted blue/yellow/white cornmeal, juniper ash, greenthread tea, steam corn, frybread mix, etc. As we found out later, it's actually cheaper here than many of the Bashas' Dine' grocery stores in the Navajo Nation. Navajo Blue Travel Plaza has instantly become a must stop destination anytime I'm in the area again. The sodas are just so good, and the Navajo food they sell seems to be pretty great as well!
