Credit where it's due. But the filling tasted like someone described seasoning to it once and it took that personally. The mashed potatoes and gravy were so aggressively salted they could preserve a woolly mammoth. The mac and cheese tasted like it was still searching for its purpose in life. I went with the recommended tacos. If you've ever wondered what tacos might taste like in a hospital cafeteria during a sodium restriction program, I now have your answer. For forty five dollars, you expect at least a polite handshake from flavor. We came in with modest expectations. It's a food court at one of the most famous natural wonders in the world. We weren't looking for culinary fireworks. We were just hoping for taste. When we returned, the same person suddenly told us that all of the empty tables were already accounted for and that they "don't usually serve parties of more than five." We politely asked if tables could be moved together since there were clearly plenty of empty tables. That's when things became even more ridiculous. We were told that, for "safety reasons," moving the tables would result in a $10,000 fee. We were then directed toward other restaurants that were supposedly more "economic" and "reasonable." We found that comment particularly unnecessary and condescending. If a restaurant chooses not to accommodate a larger party, that's understandable, but there are much more professional and respectful ways to communicate that to customers. This whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. We come from Las Vegas and understand how restaurants are supposed to treat their customers with basic courtsey.
