RACIST! Sadly No other way to put this. I accompanied my gf (UofA) student to this clothing store. I casually stayed in the corner as my gf browsed their store. After about 5 minutes a blonde Caucasian student WITH A BLACK BACKPACK asked to try something on, the store associate kindly said yes and showed her to the dressing room. Seconds later my gf asked the same associate who took one look at her, said "yes but you have to leave your backpack here". I witnessed two people who both had backpacks get treated very differently. My girlfriends race was judged by the associate, because she decided right then she wasn't allowed to go into the dressing room with her school back pack, which was right next to the register. The associates demeanor towards us was NOT friendly, as her demeanor to the Caucasian blonde hair college girl was kind and welcoming. There was and is NO DOUBT we were judged due to my gf's skin color. Owner/Manager pull the camera on 2/28/23 at 2:30pm and you will see how we were stopped and the white customers were free to take their bags into the dressing room. I also want to mention the staff had NOOOO idea where to even place the backpack (which had her laptop in it). They were asking each other. As if they don't do this often. If this is store policy you would assume they have a designated area for bags. Not only will be never support this store again, we will let our friends and family know of this horrible treatment. Keep your eye open on how they treat those who look like white college students versus the black or dark skin college students. Sad we have this happening right on the University strip. read more

I was visiting Tucson recently and walked into this boutique without knowing anything about it. Nicole was very personable and helped me figure out what to wear to my special event. I even bought a couple other things I didn't need because I couldn't help it. I got so many compliments that night!! I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Tucson. read more

I dropped in while strolling through the U of A strip of shops and dining spots. This store stood out to me since the doors were wide open and I could smell a tasteful scent of a candle. As soon as I walked in a cheerful young lady greeted me. She was quick to introduce herself and ask me if I needed any assistance. She even suggested a few items which I ended up walking out with one of them. She helped me in the dressing room and introduced me to an amazing candle that I walked out with as well. The store has some trendy fashions that a young lady would love to have in her closet. You have to stop in if your in town. read more

Where do ghosts buy clothes? (see end of review) I love this place! It has a more vast selection than the similar clothing stores in the same area. They all carry very similar items, and it can be overwhelming. I am always impressed with their selection, and the cleanliness of the store. The staff is always friendly but not trying to upsell, which goes a long way with me. I have found truly unique pieces here, and am always satisfied. They also send out great emails, of photos with new products they have in, which I love. As a U of A alum, we travel to campus from Phoenix annually. Typically it's for a Frog burger and a new Wildcat shirt. Now, it's so I can go to Grand Central and maybe get a burger and new shirt. Grand Central is very impressive boutique! Cute clothes, some right on trend, some more timeless, but all at a great price point. The ladies that work there are so helpful and do a great job guiding you through the store. Some of the styles are geared for college students, but most of the items could be worn by a variety of ages. Don't forget to check out their gorgeous jewelry! read more

Very cute boutique in the shopping & dining strip in Univ. of Arizona. Grand Central had lots of trendy tops, some jeans, a few dresses, bags, jewelry, shoes, and a rainbow selection of sandals. There was also makeup, candles, hair items and other random stuff. The prices were low compared to other boutiques and the staff was friendly. read more

Located in Main Gate Square, Grand Central is one of the many locally owned shops/boutiques in the University area. Sorry dudes, this is a women's only boutique, but certainly a great spot to buy your lady a gift! The selection here is super cute and feminine. Some pieces I can live without, but generally the style is fresh and youthful. I'm not entirely convinced that the pricing is super fair on all of the items, since the a lot of the fabric quality reminds me of what you'd find at Forever 21, but hey, it's locally owned and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They carry everything from tops to dresses, denim, shorts and even swim suits. They have a ton a great accessories, bags and shoes too! The store itself had a great atmosphere and the decor is really fun. You also visit their store online and do your shopping there! Their return policy is a little strange. Three days cash back for tops and final sale on dresses. Five days to return and receive in store credit. A little odd, so make sure you really like your purchase or at least make sure you're willing to drive back to make any returns within three days! read more

Yesterday my best friend and I walked into this store on University Ave. They had a great selection of clothes and my best friend was looking for an outfit, but when she needed help she was ignored by one of the employees. The same woman she was about to ask for help from walked past her and helped a sorority girl. My friend and I do not look like sorority girls. The employee turned her back to her and helped another woman (a tall skinny white girl with blonde hair) who wasn't even asking for help. As someone waiting in the background for my best friend to shop, it seemed completely rude. After that, my friend just changed her mind and even the plans for the night. We walked out of the store, with no greeting in or out. We were compltely ignored from the start. If you are not of their type (tall, white, blonde, rich, or airheaded) you will not receive legitimate services from the employees. Nice clothes, horrible service. read more

I had planned a spontaneous trip to Vegas and had an hour to shop. One of the sales girls basically became my personal shopper. She pulled such cute stuff and matched them in ways I wouldn't have thought, but loved. The best surprise is when I was rung up I didn't cringe at the register. Came here when i was moving my sister into her dorm her first year at UofA. I popped in and the sales woman asked me what i was looking for and i said well i just turned 21 so something appropriate for going out but also that i can wear everyday. She basically got me set up with a whole new wardrobe! I can't wait to visit for spring break and go on another shopping spree! They have designer jeans, along with trendy no-name tops! I have mixed reviews about this store. While the clothes are cute and the prices are okay, the employees are not. I have never experienced anything bad while shopping here before but today I went in with my friend and was appalled. While I was looking around I passed one of the employees talking to another and she exclaimed that my friend shouldn't be in the store because she's "way too big to fit into anything there". I was of course taken back by the statement but even more surprised when my friend heard them from all the way across the store. read more

I love going into Grand Central while I'm walking around university. They have a great selection of on-trend clothing and accessories and at a range of price points. Also, the turnover is quick so there is always new merchandise coming in. The girls who work there are always super friendly and go out of their way to be as helpful as possible.
