In Moab, you must come to this library. It has everything. If you are a visitor, they have information. They have Internet and wi-fi. They are comfy. Clean. Organized. There was serious grant money given to this place, because it is beautiful. There is a super meeting room, lots of computers, a teen area, a massive children's room (and it's away from the rest of the library so kids can be loud here and not bother anyone). This place has won many awards for its outstanding service and resources and very deserving. Came here to see an author speak about Everett Ruess and the library has partnered with the bookstore in Moab. What a great idea! This place is hopping and has it together. I spent a week plus WFR (working from the road) in an effort to escape the relentless Front Range storms. I had a solar panel and 4G wifi hotspot with me, but some friends suggested that I check out the library. Wow, what an amazing library! The staff were super helpful and I could tell I wasn't the only visitor poaching the power and wifi. They have desktop computers that you can use if you don't have your own and low cost printing resources. The space is modern and spacious, and they stock Accidents in North American Mountaineering for when you need a work break. I left them a $25 donation, and I encourage you to leave at least a few dollars to keep this place open. read more

Good WiFi at about 5ms ping and 22 mbps download. Many tiny workstations available with comfortable office style chairs and power. Quiet of course. Restrooms available. I didn't check out the books so no comment on them. I would love to see an elevated table for standing and working on computers. That would be a nice upgrade. read more

For a small town Moab has an incredible library. I did not utilize it much until I had kids and since then I have been amazed over and over again. We've suggested a few new books and they got them right away and our son was so excited he was able to advocate for something then see other kids check them out as soon as they came. Miss Adrea is their biggest asset, she's one of a kind. If you have kids there is story time once a week and it's fantastic. There's songs and stories that our son had enjoyed. She did a great job with it during Covid over zoom, but it's been the best going to Old City Park the past few weeks and sitting among the large cottonwood trees in Moab's quietest park. It allows the kids space to see each other and to move around safely while it has little car traffic and shade to protect them. Our son thoroughly enjoys Mondays as he knows we're going to story time. I would highly recommend the library to anyone and if you have kids story time with Miss Adrea is worth making the time and effort to get to. Right now it's Mondays at 10am at old city park but since schedules change & holidays check with them before going. It's a great way for kids and parents to meet and they can play afterwards. PS Miss Adrea is also great at picking out books and putting them on hold for you. We wanted dinosaur books but didn't have a clue which ones to pick. The kids room has so many great choices it is hard to decide. She put a few on hold that are perfect. Thank you Moab library for making our small town even better! read more

Helpful folks, but if you need a card and you're from out of state, there's a $15 charge for each quarter (so, if you're like me and come a couple times a year if I'm lucky) you're basically paying $15 to get 5 books (the limit for out of towners) each time. My daughter enjoyed the books for her down time between trails, so I *guess* it's worth it. Otherwise nice place read more

Beautiful, modern interior, lots of computer resources, great wifi (no password, no port-blocking, good speed), diverse seating options, movie night on Thursdays, and giant picture windows looking out on the West Rim. read more

I have to say, I spent a lot of time here at the Library during my vacation in Moab. Why? Because we were "glamping" so I didn't have access to WiFi or electricity to charge my phone. So we came here to burn time, get our internet fix, and to charge our phones. If we weren't hiking in the National Parks, I was here Interneting. The library is not too big. It looks like your normal, community library. It was clean. The staff was nice and helpful. Like I mentioned earlier, they have free WiFi. But man, is it slow. I guess everyone is using it. I wasn't sure if my 3g connection or if the WiFi was slower. They are closed on Sundays, so get your WiFi and electricity fix elsewhere. read more

Fantastic library! We were guests traveling to the area to see Arches, and needed a computer to work on an unexpected job interview. The computer use was free and easy, the librarians were incredibly nice and helpful, our two year old was occupied the whole time in the kids area (he loved the real cat sleeping on the bookcase and the play kitchen the best, though there was a lot to choose from including kid sized computers), and I was able to use the free WiFi (password posted right by the entrance for really easy access) while my husband worked on his application. On top of all that, it was a really clean, air conditioned building amidst the summer heat! As an "out of towner" I really appreciated the friendliness and accessibility of this library for kids and adults alike! I wish my hometown library was this nice. read more

I was very surprised that Moab had such a great public library! They have a wide selection of books, computers for public use, excellent and modern decor - nothing was run down at all. I find myself here often, and will probably continue to enjoy this little treasure. :) read more

Very impressed with this wonderful library. You walk in and there's a jigsaw puzzle to work on. Many computers and a great travel section for the visitor. There's a big children's area. The copier is run on the honor system. Many DVDs and of course, books. Also, a big area of books for sale. Amazing! Highly recommend this library if you want to refresh and recharge after a busy day. read more

One of my little "kinks" is to visit libraries in every little town(less than10000 population). In Moab, I found a library with a great staff that was pleased to meet someone who enjoys libraries, and showed my wife and I around. We found a up-to-date tech. wise library with probably 50 terminals for patron use, a good selection of periodicals and good population of books, all current. Joe E. did not know this was the Best Small Library in america for 2007. It makes me feel good about our country and the state of the Democracy when rural America is tuned into the world. read more
