I took my nani here and the experience was very disappointing. The stylist said she would give her a deep conditioning after putting products in her hair that damaged it, her hair was perectly healthy, but that ruined it. We were charged $115, this left my nani's hair feeling dry and looking horrid. When we tried reaching out, there was no refund offered and the owner doesn't reach out.. It's upsetting because we trusted this place to take care of her hair, and instead it was a frustrating experience and they fried it making her look like a puff ball. DO NOT COME HERE read more

Walked in for a manicure when visiting the area. Made an appointment for 2 hours later so I explored a little bit. Very clean and nicely designed salon. Came back at appointment time and was taken care of right away. Nice mani and conversation with Brie (spelling?). The salon was fairly busy for a Tuesday afternoon and stylists spent quite a bit of time with each client explaining what they could do and why. I moved here about 2 1/2 years ago from Grand Rapids, so I'm used to the big city, and knowing where all the great places are to get your hair done. I checked out a few places around town, and I just wasn't impressed. They either did the bare minimum, weren't very friendly or were only average. I started driving all the way to my old stylist in Grand Rapids because I thought I wouldn't find a good one here. I asked around...who was the best of the best around here? I started hearing Autumn's name, so I scheduled an appointment. Well, the first thing I noticed was how the interior looked just like a salon in Grand Rapids, with the old bricks and high ceiling, and it wad so clean and sleek! Everyone inside was so nice and yet very professional. And...I couldn't believe the prices! A big city feel, with a great haircut and color for little town prices. Perfect! Staff is SO NICE! they do a great job and very reasonable prices. Staff are matrix trained so I may be back for a hair color (even though I am very picky!!!) I walked into that salon with my head held low, walked out a goddess! No joke I could see the change of color in my face from joy! My hair was so damaged and all breaking off. Yes, I go to the beauty shop for my haircuts. My wife likes it better than the standard barber shop cut - so I am all in. Men - don't be afraid of this place. It's not the least expensive place in West Branch, but the conversation when getting a haircut is great, and they always get me in and out in a hurry. I am so shocked that more people do not come on here on give "Grand Illusions" a great review. I moved to the area about (7) months ago and I went to (2) other people that were no comparison to Jamie......She rocks!!!! She is very patient, friendly, explains everything before and as she goes and does not try to give you something you don't want. Very Impressive. She fixed my damaged uneven hair and made me feel like a woman with a fabulous hair style. Also the owner Autumn sat done with me and told me about her business.
