We stayed at Grand Miramar for an onsite wedding and had a wonderful experience -- even with an unexpected and stressful situation. During our stay, the city of Puerto Vallarta was shut down and we were required to shelter in place. While we were stuck on vacation, the staff was stuck working under the same restrictions. Despite being understandably understaffed, the team handled everything with professionalism, grace, and genuine warmth. They worked incredibly hard to keep guests fed, informed, and most importantly, feeling safe. Not once did they lose their smiles or positive attitudes. The level of service and care we experienced during such a difficult circumstance speaks volumes about this hotel. I would absolutely recommend Grand Miramar for the service alone. read more

This was our first time in Mexico and this place really set the standard. Beautiful facility and the staff are second to none. They made us feel right at home and really made us feel like they cared for their guest. Actually tracked the taxis and ubers who took their guest out to town. The pools were clean and well cared for. Wait staff as well as the breakfast menu was ample and food was delicious. We attended a wedding and in my opinion this facility did a fantastic job. The food was good, the DJ was a class act. Overall we had a great experience at the Grand Miramar! Check-In The check in process was relaxing and easy going. We were served hot towels and our luggage was taken to our room. We were handed wrist bands for our stay. We were walked to our room and all of the "to knows" were explained to us. Breakfast Breakfast is free at the hotel. There are several options that are on the buffet to choose from. You can also ask for an omelet that will be made in the back kitchen and brought out to you. I did not see many people ordering omelette so I'm not sure it's expressed too much but it is an option. Bedroom Our bedroom was ocean facing and it was very beautiful. The room itself was very clean, and super spacious! Location This was my only knock on the property. Because the Grand Miramar is located on top of the hill/mountain you will need to take a cab or uber to the romantic zone. Over time the Ubers or taxis add up in price. If you are looking for a beautiful property a few minutes from the main city area than this is the one. If you are looking to be right in the city center then this is not the property! This is our 4th time staying at The Grand Miramar since 2019 and it's been the perfect hotel and location for US! We love the quietness and tranquility of their location, high up on the hill in Concha China with amazing ocean views and away from the hustle and bustle of PV but only a 5 min cab or Uber ride to enjoy everything downtown Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The property is gorgeous, with a white exterior accentuated with fuchsia bougainvilleas. There are 4 pools, 3 ground level and an adults only on the rooftop. Amongst the ground level pools is a huge hot tub and they added jets to the pool bar for a jacuzzi effect. However,the star of the show are the views. Every area has a beautiful view but the higher you go the better it gets. The rooftop bar, The Gin Joint is the cream of the crop with perfect sight lines of downtown PV, which is super cool for the fireworks on Fridays. There is a dedicated restaurant up top, poolside, with (can you guess?) amazing views of the ocean. It's a beautiful setting with upscale (pricey) food options. I did enjoy it, but we usually took evening trips to PV for dinner. There's lunch and snack service by the pools as well as room service. We had the deal which included breakfast that is a large, buffet style, with something for everyone. They'll even cook up an omelette if you would like. Fresh fruit, juices and coffee are provided but cappuccino and specialty coffees are extra but at least available. Food and drink at the hotel is pricey but PV is NOT value Mexico. You can find lower prices the further you move from the beach but it's a tourist destination, so expect to pay close to North American prices for most things. The rooms are large with all amenities you need but most importantly every room has an ocean view, which means every guest has access to a private sunset from their patio. There's a fridge and freezer, 2 burner stove (ask the desk for cookware), microwave, a dishwasher and 2 place setting dishes and silverware. We usually get a Junior Suite because the bedroom is more private and I can get up and make coffee in the morning without disturbing the missus. The staff are super friendly. Everyone seems eager to help make your stay as enjoyable as they possibly can. For us, the Grand Miramar is an oasis in Puerto Vallarta. It's an easy trek to the excitement but you get to relax and enjoy the serenity and views until it's time to head downtown. The Grand Miramar has everything you need for your vacation; technically, you'd never have to leave. But you'd be doing a huge disservice to yourself and to the people, culture, food and drink of Puerto Vallarta if you didn't head down the hill. To each his own! read more

The sunsets from the rooftop here are the most beautiful, romantic sunsets you will ever see. We have stayed here twice, 3 years apart. Loved it both times! This is a nice, quiet, and safe resort in PV. Best views in the entire city, hands down. Rooftop restaurant and pool have the best view of the sunset over the ocean I have ever witnessed. Rooms are clean, white, crisp yet inviting. The beds are on the firmer side. Bathrooms are huge. Ours had a nice big tub, big shower. The whole room had a very open concept. All of the food is tasty and nicely presented. Breakfast was included. It had a variety of options with the buffet that changes slightly each day. The restaurant at the pools had good variety. The rooftop restaurant had a romantic feel to it. They had live relaxing music on some nights. Food was excellent at all levels. Never had anything I did not like. The quality of the drinks kind of depended on the bar tender but we're overall very nice. The bell boy and security services worked in tandem to help you get a cab with ease and that each guest made it back safely each night. The tour desk was very knowledgeable about anything you would need tickets for and set up whale watching and a show for us. They worked with the bell boys to ensure cabs were ready. Although you are a little removed from the city center, we never waited more than 5 minutes for a cab. The spa services are top notch. We got a couples massage and I got a pedicure. Both were quite relaxing but I have had better pedicures. That's not necessarily a knock on a pedicure here because there was nothing wrong with it, just not the best. The massage, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and jetted shower were absolutely phenomenal. Clean, relaxing, professional. Would definitely recommend those services. The only negative we could think of was maybe the cost. PV is a cheaper city in general but you are paying more than average for everything here. IMO it is absolutely worth it. If you are looking for a safe, relaxing, quiet experience but are still wanting to enjoy the lively romantic zone at your leisure, this is the resort for you. read more

The hotel itself is great. The employees exceptional. Where things fell short was the sky lounge and rooftop pool. The rooftop pool closes at 5 pm. This was disappointing given the views and sunsets. There was no wait staff service at the pool. We had to go to the restaurant to request food and beverages. The very top rooftop level was underwhelming despite incredible views. Why not a sunset happy hour for the guests? The umbrellas were closed and the furniture uncomfortable. It's clear they don't want guests using the top outdoor level. We booked the junior grand suite, which was way bigger in person, and holy shit...the view!!! Unbeatable for the price!!! Staff was ALL amazing. Honorable mention to Ricardo. You're the man. We came here for our honeymoon and stayed 6 days/5 nights. ROOMS - Our room was absolutely gorgeous. Stand-alone tub, glass shower, king size bed, TV (that we never watched), his and her sinks, couch and dining area, and the beautiful patio! We were on the 8th floor and had a nice view of town and the ocean. SERVICE - Really shocked someone complained the service was "too much" lol. We stayed at a Ritz Carlton our wedding night & the service here was even better! Attentive and super helpful. It wasn't overbearing. They were helpful with booking taxis into town, scheduling a COVID test, ride from the airport, beach recs, etc. We had zero issues. VIEWS - Now... THE VIEW! It's breathtaking. The hotel is the highest point in PV and it's so worth it. Sunset, sun rise, views from the pool -- we loved every minute. FOOD - I wrote a separate view for Eugenia (we loved it). We had breakfast as well at the hotel most days. It's included with your booking and delicious. Each day the offerings were slightly different. We avoided the American options (pancakes, etc) and stuck to the Mexican food. It's buffet style. I loved the fresh juices and pan dulce available daily. AMENITIES - My husband really enjoyed the spa. I didn't get a chance to go. They book up fast, FYI. The pools were all enjoyable, even at night. We came in November and the weather was perfect. The rooftop pool closes at night though so the restaurant can open for dinner service. OVERALL - We loved our stayed. We felt safe, even when coming back late at night. The hotel is very secure. All of the staff was super friendly. Most were fluent in English & were nice enough to let me practice Spanish with them. The location is not walkable - you will need a taxi everywhere. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with excellent service... All except for the front desk. You need to be aware that when you check in they will charge you what they call a "room hold charge."They will state that it is to be used for charges to your room. Simple enough to understand... Except at checkout, they will deny you the ability to apply this charge and instead charge you in full for your room charges, and then tell you that at a later date, you will be refunded your "room hold charge." Sigh. Mexico I love you but why do you still do these things?? I was wondering when I checked in why the couple in front of me were so agitated on their way out the door after their vacation in such a beautiful place. They kept mentioning this charge, and now I know why. I have tried for two weeks to get this refunded to no avail. I let them know that I was willing to wait as long as possible but they kept refusing to issue a refund saying the problem was "with my credit card company." Really guys? I wish I could recommend this place. The staff is excellent; The view is unbelievable, and the breakfast that is included is really truly outstanding. Rooms are beautiful and well appointed with plenty of space as well as immaculate. But at the end of your vacation even you're confronted with something as duplicitous as this crazy math that makes no sense, how can I possibly recommend this to my fellow yelpers? They Grand Miramar is beyond gorgeous and was a lovely place to stay for the a long weekend. I stayed here for a wedding and thought it was a hotel at first and didn't realize that it was a resort! Right when we went to go check into our room, we were asked to be seated in a beautiful waiting room with an amazing view and were offered a cool scented towel with some water which was real relaxing after our flight. We definitely got White Lotus vibes everywhere we went! Our room was great as well, it included a king sized bed, a large sofa, a bathtub with jets and to our surprise, a fridge and dishwasher! We stayed on the 8th floor in the C tower and the view was even better than the lobby. We couldn't get over the view and every day we were enjoying the scenery for hours. There were two different pool areas to relax in, the bottom floor has a few different pools with plenty of chairs and cabanas. The top pool is for adults adults only and they served some of the best Mexican food I have ever day. I highly recommend ordering the shrimp and steak tacos. The view from the very top was also great and we enjoyed some drinks with along with the view. Customer service here is phenomenal, all the workers were very attentive and accommodating. We always had a drink coming our way when we were near empty. On checkout day, we were able to check out later at noon but our flight didn't leave until 9pm. They were very kind and let us enjoy the pool area until we had to leave for our flight and let us keep our luggage in the lobby (well protected) when we were exploring downtown. I would definitely come back to the Grand Miramar on my next visit. It's such a gorgeous place and an inexpensive Uber ride to the downtown area. My experience here was beyond amazing! read more

Addendum to last review. First time ever the waiter suggested tip should be 15% or 20% as he asked if service was good. I asked if 10% was normal for Mexico and he said yes. Today a different waiter told my wife and I "hola Caballero's" which in Spanish is hello gentlemen. My wife pointed out she's not a gentleman, but instead if apologizing for misspeaking he wanted to argue it was OK. Was going to let yesterday slide, but there is a definite waiter aggression here. A disappointing hotel can really put a damper on your trip, and the Grand Miramar certainly did that. We came to PV hoping to have an amazing, hang-out-at-your-resort-relax-and-sip-cocktails-by-the-pool experience. We wanted a wonderful respite away from the fray of the city. Instead, we found largely terrible service, terrible cocktails, mediocre to terrible food, and noise. Lots of noise, everywhere. THE ROOM - I will say that the room itself was large and, for the most part, comfortable. The bed was nice and firm, and the pillow was very high, which for me, was perfect. (My friend, however, said it hurt her neck.) It was generally clean. On the downside, many things didn't work properly, including the sliding bathroom door. There was also an issue with towels and robes. For some reason, even though they were hanging in the bathroom, housekeeping kept taking them and not replacing them. Overall, we made many calls to housekeeping and guest services to have things fixed / delivered / replaced (and often, those calls went unheeded and we had to call again.) Earplugs were needed every night / early morning from the noise in the hallways (staff walking by with loud walkie-talkies, carts rumbling by, guests yelling to each other down the hall) and loud music outside. THE PROPERTY - The property itself was quite disappointing. From the photos it looked glorious. There is, in fact, one glorious place on the property--the adults-only rooftop pool. It's lovely. And loud. And crowded. It's a small pool, and everyone wants to be there. There isn't nearly enough seating for everyone. Several people were sitting on the ground on towels, which was nuts because we weren't even there at a busy time of year. The downstairs pools, to me, looked like they belonged at someone's somewhat low-end condo. Kind of depressing. The lobby and breakfast room were the same. Kind of depressing. Cheap. Because there was no seating on the roof, I sat by the shaded downstairs pool for two hours one day, and it smelled like trash or sulphur or something... I finally left when the jackhammering started... THE SERVICE - With a few exceptions (like the men who helped you get a taxi each day and Daniel (?) in the breakfast room), the service was astonishingly bad. If you needed something, it often required two phone calls. Sometimes three. The fitness center was always "off" in the morning (no A/C, no power to the machines, empty water cooler) which was insane in the oppressive heat and humidity). No one came by at the pool to ask if we wanted drinks. When we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night, guest services was unreachable. And on the day we were to check out, we had been throwing up all night from some kind of stomach bug and were still feeling horrible. We had no idea what time check out was because the room had no booklet with a hotel overview. We called to request late checkout (our flight wasn't until 4:30pm) and they said they we had to be out of the room no later than 11:30am. I talked to five different people and explained our health situation and the timing of our flight, and they were utterly unsympathetic. We explained that we would have to sit in the lobby (the only place with A/C) after we checked out for hours, potentially still vomiting. The manager I spoke to was pretty much like "fine," and literally offered us plastic bags that we could puke into while we sat there. Finally, he offered us a later checkout if we paid a fee. It was just... INSANE. THE FOOD - Yeah, just don't eat here. Breakfast was okay, but don't pay for food here, whether at the pool "snack bar" or at Eugenia. (See my separate review.) THE WATER SITUATION - The hotel allots you two small bottles of Kirkland water per room per day, delivered with turndown service. If you need more, you "can order it from room service" for a whopping $6.50 / bottle + delivery fee + tip. So on the day you arrive, you'd best get into a taxi down the horrific cobblestone hill (like maybe a 5 minute very bumpy drive to get to the main road) to go to the XOXO market and get yourself a big jug of water lest you get very dehydrated. GETTING INTO TOWN - It's not terribly far from the Romantic Zone--maybe a 10 minute taxi ride--and there are always taxis available at a moment's notice which is nice, but half the ride is VERY, VERY, bumpy and windy. If you experience motion sickness, this will be a nightmare for you. We could only handle one trip into town per day, and neither of us is prone to motion sickness. We paid a total of about $200 / night for our room, and it still felt like too much for what we experienced here. This is not a good hotel. It's not luxurious. It's an aging, poorly managed, ill-situated (except for the view), ruin-your-entire-trip kind of place. We didn't feel cared for at all, and when you go on vacation, you just want to relax and feel taken care of. read more

A spectacular location perched high up on the hillside. Panoramic views of the city & bay. This review is only for the Sky Bar lounge which is an elevator ride to the (almost) top level. If dining, choose between eating inside (bar area) or outside on the open air large patio. Reservation needed as many diners are actually guests staying in the hotel. We stayed at the Grand Miramar for one night and had a wonderful experience. The room was big and clean with a beautiful view, the staff was friendly and overly accommodating, and the hotel did a great job of maintaining COVID precautions. The only drawback was that the pillows stood about 10 inches high! They were very uncomfortable and there was only one thinner replacement in the closet. I just slept without a pillow and gave my partner the thinner one. The breakfast buffet included with the room was good but it was hard to order from the table and remember what there was to choose from without a menu. I have never felt more unwelcome as I did at this hotel. We went there to spend the day with our friends at their pool. We have been going to PV for over years and have never had this issue. Their pool is for guest only and they wanted to charge our friends for us being there. Extremely unfriendly and not accommodating to their guest. The good the bad and the ugly. Let's start with the good as there was so much. The views are spectacular for sure, hard to beat. The roof top pool with infinity edge spectacular. The staff...... from check in to waiters to the bell hops. All friendly and very helpful. It's not the Four Seasons where everyone calls you by name but for sure friendly and helpful. Even the breakfast buffet was pretty good and staff very helpful as well. Also the hotel is very well built and the rooms very spacious, clean and user friendly. We had a jacuzzi, a sitting room large balcony etc all very comfortable and more what u would expect from a high end hotel. The bad...... even tho it's only a $5 cab ride into town, you are way up top of the hill. Not walkable in my opinion as very steep etc. Also nothing and I mean nothing around hotel so if u want to go off site you have to use a taxi. Now the ugly.....We were fortunate to get a suite on the very top floor however every morning at around 7:30am the hotel starts moving chairs table everything which wakes you up. We mentioned it but to no avail. Also hotel doesn't even have a small store where u could get some snacks or loose beers wine candy etc. A store with a few tee shirts and hats and food should be a must have....... Second visit!! I'm sad I am leaving! This place is just great!! This time came with my girl. She was very pleased! Stayed in a Master suit with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony! So amazing! Perched at the top of a huge mountain the Grand Miramar was incredible!!! The view of the oceans are sooooooooo surreal and having the jungle in the back was sooooo cool The Grand Miramar is only reachable by vehicle and the resort has scheduled town drop-offs and pickups. The pools are always clean and lovely. The food aT Eugenia was incredible - delish seafood menu. The breakfast spread always delicious especially their basil and cucumber juice!!! Alam at the tour desk was amazing and an incredibly competent and experienced planner. Our room was on the 9th floor so it had spectacular views of the ocean Housekeeping was always punctual and excellent too!!! I've now stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and really enjoyed it. The highlight to me are all of the great pools with stunning views overlooking the ocean. The location is a bit of a schlep down to town but it's a very inexpensive Uber or taxi if you don't feel like walking. The restaurants on site were fantastic, both the breakfast buffet and rooftop dining. Order a strawberry margarita! Staff are all very friendly and helpful too. read more

This place is not worth the price you pay. If you're thinking of coming with kids, then completely forget about it. It's far from town so you can only get around with a car. The place is old as heck and poorly updated. Shower pressure is garbage. There are a couple pools around but they won't let the kids in any of the pools except one of the pools. read more

Oh the views!! I came for the views. It's a stunning property at the highest part of town! It's so damn high, Uber ride climbing up can feel like an eternity!!! So many turns too. Cobble stone road, sharp turns, steep hills! It can feel like you're going the wrong way!! But keep going!! The property is at the end of many winding roads! And next to the jungle! The views!! The views are insane. The rooms are pretty big too. I got the junior suite with an ocean view. It's so big! My favorite part is the balcony! And all the white and pink flowers theme. And the pools down below makes a great ambiance too. They have so many pools! Some kid friendly, some not. Most have those awesome lounge chairs in the water. Pretty cool! The sky bar/ rooftop pool was my favorite! No kids allowed! Next to the bar and it's an infinity pool with the best views of Pv! You can see all way up to Playa los muerto! Downtown! And so on! Just beautiful! Now the service!!! It was too much. They give you a tour when you check in... they show you "how to open the door"!! And how to insert key into the wall to get the lights working! Wanted a change from all inclusive.. so I thought! The service and night and day! This was the dark part of it. Didn't enjoy it at all!! Everyone's too pushy, too over bearing! Over the top! I need a few steps back! Like several block! Give me my space!!! On one hand, it's good that there isn't much to do. Food is ok. Made me get out!!! Which I didn't have to in Hyatt Ziva. So that's a bright side. They offer shuttle to town. 12 pm, 2 pm drop off. And 5 pm pick up. I did the 12 pm shuttle to the beach. I had more than enough time to explore every part of romantic zone, Down town and more! Overall, beautiful spot. Slow elevator. Slow service. Not much to do. Night swim was good. I'd come back if I have a large group of people that was to stay here. Otherwise, I prefer the beachier spots! And less pretentious!!! read more

This was our second time staying here and we can't wait to come back. Perched up high in the mountains this property is home to some of the best views of Puerto Vallarta. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Mats to clean your shoes are available before you go to the main lobby. Then the staff takes your temperature. Masks were required in common areas and the staff did a great job of cleaning and making you feel safe. There are 4 pools on the property so you have your choice of where to swim. The infinity pool on the top floor is amazing especially at sunset. Breakfast was included everyday and we tried it out most days. Juice, coffee, fruit, eggs, refried black beans, hot cakes and sausage are all complimentary. Each day they had specials such as chilaquiles, mole, chorizo, quiches that we thought were extra, but they also were included. La Terrazza by the downstairs pool had great food and drink options. We ate there a couple of times and had great meals. Resort pricing but the portion sizes match. One of the biggest/tastiest club sandwiches we've had. Eugenia at the top of the resort was amazing at sunset. Great drinks and food options available as well. Our waiters were amazing and kept us entertained. We took a taxi down to the main town area, but uber is about a third of the cost, just a heads up. We also walked down the hill our first morning to the Oxxo convenience store which was trek but cheap drinks/snacks to keep in our room. Pace yourself for a steep climb back lol. If your looking for a peaceful and luxurious place to spend time with your family with attentive staff and beautiful views look no further!! We have been to PV countless times and had never had such a relaxing time. We did take our 6 year old with us and she had a blast but it's not a place for a lot of kids I would say and the top floor pool is only for adults. Our room had a kitchenette and the room was HUGE we would alternate cooking something small then going to town for dinner. We had breakfast one morning at the restaurant there and the food was ok nothing amazing but the service is just so amazing it makes you want to go back. The lower level has a jacuzzi and three pools with many beds and places to tan. It's definitely a place that is more secluded so you need a car or get uber to go to the downtown area. The hotel has taxi service and everything for you too which is better. read more

My stay in this resort was nothing short of magical. For the price, I wasn't expecting the level of luxury this place provides. From the beginning, staff is extremely accommodating and kind. They check each Uber's license for safety, they are prompt on any requests you may have, and they always greet you in passing. The Junior double suite is massive at 1,200sq ft with marble floors and bathrooms. The views are STUNNING from every part of this resort, but especially from the top floor restaurant and your own balcony. The food was top notch, as were the drinks. The vibe at sunset with a drink in hand and live music playing was absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The ONLY negative would be the ride up and down the hill as it is cobblestone and very bumpy, but even that is moot when you have such spectacular privacy and views. So my partner and I stayed at the Grand Miramar for 6 nights. Overall, the experience was nice and I would come back again. If you don't like to read, The food: meh. The service: EXCELLENT The room and view: EXCELLENT Tip: Take Uber or taxis to explore your food options down in PV proper. It's worth it and is so so cheap. Also, tip generously and bring cash for tips. Everything about this place is 5 stars, except for the food. Detailed review: 1. The food. The food quality depends on where you go. Room service isn't worth it (food is not great and takes too long). The pool snack bar is fine for what it is -- a snack bar. I have serious complaints about the salad I ordered from there -- it was LITERALLY 3 PIECES OF TERRIBLE WET LETTUCE WITH BLACK SAUCE SMEARED OVER IT. At this kind of resort where you're paying for quality, how??? The only place that is worth it is Eugenia at the very top -- the service is great, the food is fantastic. We tried their restaurant week menu, which was great as well. Also, a solid buffet breakfast. 2. The hotel service was excellent. Most people were fantastic, especially the concierge at the front. Over a period of a week, you have one or two people who aren't "on" all the time, but who cares? You're in paradise. 3. The room and view was stunning. We were on the 8th floor, which was kind of awesome, so try and get high as possible if you can (ask for it??? Idk). It's truly a relaxing place. Also few notes: - Bring cash for tips for the maids. They are amazing. - The gym is NOT in the main building, you have to go out to the Pool Bar area, then take the elevator in the middle down to the 2nd level (I think). - The pool at the very top closes at like 4pm or 5pm, so plan accordingly. - At breakfast, you have to ask for things like brown sugar for oatmeal and ketchup for eggs. Servers are so nice, so it's literally no problem at all doing it over and over again. - The pool water is warm most of time, which is like "champagne problems", but depends what you like. read more

This has to be the top hotel in Puerto Vallarta. Literally and figuratively, it's on a steepest hill in PV and the views over look the whole oceanside. It is very quiet and had a relaxing resort feel. There are multiple pools and even a rooftop one with a bar. This makes up for being far from the beach and it takes you away from the busy downtown streets. The staff is super friendly and nice. Daniel and Alberto spoke english very well and recommended everything you would need. They are very professional and were always willing to help you enjoy PV. Our suite was super nice, it even had two flat screens, and was very affordable per night. The rooms were very clean and came with a kitchenette. Room service, had almost everything on the menu, was amazing, and the breakfast buffet is highly recommended. P.S. When you get there, they greet you like royalty and one of the things that they give you is a Grand Miramar drink. I drank these like water all weekend with two shots of your favorite tequila or gin! This was our first visit to Puerto Vallarta. We are a family of 3: my husband, our 4 year old son and myself. I am beyond astonished at how beautiful this property is! The service from the staff is like no other! 5 stars all around! We stayed at the Grand Miramar for 6 nights in the Master Suite. The property is located in the beautiful hills of Conchas Chinas--5 minute drive from town. As Your car ride takes you up the cobbled streets, you get a view of the tile rooftops of other homes and views of the Pacific Ocean. Upon arrival, the staff literally caters to you--like you're the only people there. You're greeted with smiles and escorted to the front desk area: which is like a big oval room with big windows that look out to the ocean. They put braided bracelets on you; so they can quickly distinguish that you're indeed a hotel guest. I thought that was a nice touch, because it's a sort of souvenir from your stay at the property. Once registration is all situated, a member from the hotel staff gives you a quick tour of the property before finally dropping you off at your suite. Our hotel guide was Manuel-he quickly became one of our favorites at the hotel. He gave us a quick explanation of the room amenities and such. Our master suite had one bedroom, a separate living room, full kitchen large bathroom with large walk-in shower and balcony with a private jacuzzi! The panoramic views of the rooftops below and the Pacific Ocean are beautiful!!!! The suite was comfortable. It became our home away from home for 6 nights. We utilized the jacuzzi often. The pools were beautiful, but the children's pool was cold. The majority of the other pools were adult only pools. We were content using the jacuzzi in our private space. Our views from the jacuzzi was out of this world! We dined at the rooftop restaurant 3x. Lovely decor and of course, the view! The food was outstanding. And the service was top notch. We had breakfast every morning at the other restaurant (forgot the name). Very nice buffet spread, attention to detail, and tasty! It was a nice morning routine to start our day. Nightly turn down service includes bottled water and luxurious chocolates. Suites were nicely decorated and very cleaned. Housekeeping did a great job at keeping our suite in tip top shape. I am a big fan of this property and their staff. The staff treated us with utmost respect. Our favorites were Manuel and Alexis--but everyone was easy to talk to. They knew us by name! We have stayed at other luxury resorts, but the Grand Miramar has set the new standard of what a luxury hotel should be! We will definitely return! Hasta luego! NOTE: After our 6 night stay at the Grand Miramar, we stayed 3 nights at the Westin in Marina Vallarta. I'd like to share that I will not be staying anywhere in Marina Vallarta in the future, because I felt like I did not leave the states. Far from Beach. Not family friendly. Beautiful views and non-management staff are terrific. However, management says "no" to everything. Management too rigid for this Resort to be any fun. No music, no entertainment, no kids club, no flexibility whatsoever. I would never return to this resort. Entire management team should be fired and the staff that does all the real work should be promoted. read more

Wow- I've never had such a spectacular experience at a hotel. The service is exceptional- every employee was helpful and polite. I felt like royalty. I was greeted every time I left the hotel and returned to the hotel. They always opened the car door. When checking in and checking out, they handled my luggages and bags. With the free breakfast, the servers were attentive and quick. The view was breathtaking. I took a moment each morning and evening to soak it all in. Overall, this hands down has been my favorite hotel experience so far. read more
