Wine & Passionfruit Margarita

Overall we had a great experience at the Grand Miramar! Check-In The check in process was relaxing and easy going. We were served hot towels and our luggage was taken to our room. We were handed wrist bands for our stay. We were walked to our room and all of the "to knows" were explained to us. Breakfast Breakfast is free at the hotel. There are several options that are on the buffet to choose from. You can also ask for an omelet that will be made in the back kitchen and brought out to you. I did not see many people ordering omelette so I'm not sure it's expressed too much but it is an option. Bedroom Our bedroom was ocean facing and it was very beautiful. The room itself was very clean, and super spacious! Location This was my only knock on the property. Because the Grand Miramar is located on top of the hill/mountain you will need to take a cab or uber to the romantic zone. Over time the Ubers or taxis add up in price. If you are looking for a beautiful property a few minutes from the main city area than this is the one. If you are looking to be right in the city center then this is not the property! With the property so high up on the hill, you will get amazing views!!!

This is our 4th time staying at The Grand Miramar since 2019 and it's been the perfect hotel and location for US! We love the quietness and tranquility of their location, high up on the hill in Concha China with amazing ocean views and away from the hustle and bustle of PV but only a 5 min cab or Uber ride to enjoy everything downtown Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The property is gorgeous, with a white exterior accentuated with fuchsia bougainvilleas. There are 4 pools, 3 ground level and an adults only on the rooftop. Amongst the ground level pools is a huge hot tub and they added jets to the pool bar for a jacuzzi effect. However, the star of the show are the views. Every area has a beautiful view but the higher you go the better it gets. The rooftop bar, The Gin Joint is the cream of the crop with perfect sight lines of downtown PV, which is super cool for the fireworks on Fridays. There is a dedicated restaurant up top, poolside, with (can you guess?) amazing views of the ocean. It's a beautiful setting with upscale (pricey) food options. I did enjoy it, but we usually took evening trips to PV for dinner. There's lunch and snack service by the pools as well as room service. We had the deal which included breakfast that is a large, buffet style, with something for everyone. They'll even cook up an omelette if you would like. Fresh fruit, juices and coffee are provided but cappuccino and specialty coffees are extra but at least available. Food and drink at the hotel is pricey but PV is NOT value Mexico. You can find lower prices the further you move from the beach but it's a tourist destination, so expect to pay close to North American prices for most things. The rooms are large with all amenities you need but most importantly every room has an ocean view, which means every guest has access to a private sunset from their patio. There's a fridge and freezer, 2 burner stove (ask the desk for cookware), microwave, a dishwasher and 2 place setting dishes and silverware. We usually get a Junior Suite because the bedroom is more private and I can get up and make coffee in the morning without disturbing the missus. The staff are super friendly. Everyone seems eager to help make your stay as enjoyable as they possibly can. For us, the Grand Miramar is an oasis in Puerto Vallarta. It's an easy trek to the excitement but you get to relax and enjoy the serenity and views until it's time to head downtown. The Grand Miramar has everything you need for your vacation; technically, you'd never have to leave. But you'd be doing a huge disservice to yourself and to the people, culture, food and drink of Puerto Vallarta if you didn't head down the hill. To each his own!

Another great stay in 2025 at the grand miramar. If you want a quiet relaxing vacation this is the place for you. This time we stayed five nights. The rooms are very comfortable. Ive downgraded a star because they really need to upgrade and change the poolside food options. Also no one comes to get your drink orders when you're at the rooftop bar. I had to go find a waiter. Its a lovely property and the people are really nice there.

Definitely will be coming back here. Our suite was clean. Staff are very polite and friendly. The view was amazing. Felt very safe during my stay

The sunsets from the rooftop here are the most beautiful, romantic sunsets you will ever see. We have stayed here twice, 3 years apart. Loved it both times! This is a nice, quiet, and safe resort in PV. Best views in the entire city, hands down. Rooftop restaurant and pool have the best view of the sunset over the ocean I have ever witnessed. Rooms are clean, white, crisp yet inviting. The beds are on the firmer side. Bathrooms are huge. Ours had a nice big tub, big shower. The whole room had a very open concept. All of the food is tasty and nicely presented. Breakfast was included. It had a variety of options with the buffet that changes slightly each day. The restaurant at the pools had good variety. The rooftop restaurant had a romantic feel to it. They had live relaxing music on some nights. Food was excellent at all levels. Never had anything I did not like. The quality of the drinks kind of depended on the bar tender but we're overall very nice. The bell boy and security services worked in tandem to help you get a cab with ease and that each guest made it back safely each night. The tour desk was very knowledgeable about anything you would need tickets for and set up whale watching and a show for us. They worked with the bell boys to ensure cabs were ready. Although you are a little removed from the city center, we never waited more than 5 minutes for a cab. The spa services are top notch. We got a couples massage and I got a pedicure. Both were quite relaxing but I have had better pedicures. That's not necessarily a knock on a pedicure here because there was nothing wrong with it, just not the best. The massage, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and jetted shower were absolutely phenomenal. Clean, relaxing, professional. Would definitely recommend those services. The only negative we could think of was maybe the cost. PV is a cheaper city in general but you are paying more than average for everything here. IMO it is absolutely worth it. If you are looking for a safe, relaxing, quiet experience but are still wanting to enjoy the lively romantic zone at your leisure, this is the resort for you.

I love the hell out of this place!!! We stayed here this past week for our anniversary, and it was absolutely amazing. We booked the junior grand suite, which was way bigger in person, and holy shit...the view!!! Unbeatable for the price!!! Staff was ALL amazing. Honorable mention to Ricardo. You're the man. Gave us so many good recommendations! The breakfast every morning was actual REALLY good. They switched it up every morning and it was all excellent!!! Chorizo, chilaquiles, fresh Mexican pastries, concha's. Nice gym with good equipment. Incredible rooftop bar and Infinity pool. Only complaint is we had to leave. Be back this summer!!!

This resort is Mainly for Adults :)

This resort is mainly for adults. Breakfast is Included. It's 10 minutes away from Downtown so it's great for Relaxing.

Breakfast. Included with your stay. Don't forget to tip!

We came here for our honeymoon and stayed 6 days/5 nights. ROOMS - Our room was absolutely gorgeous. Stand-alone tub, glass shower, king size bed, TV (that we never watched), his and her sinks, couch and dining area, and the beautiful patio! We were on the 8th floor and had a nice view of town and the ocean. SERVICE - Really shocked someone complained the service was "too much" lol. We stayed at a Ritz Carlton our wedding night & the service here was even better! Attentive and super helpful. It wasn't overbearing. They were helpful with booking taxis into town, scheduling a COVID test, ride from the airport, beach recs, etc. We had zero issues. VIEWS - Now... THE VIEW! It's breathtaking. The hotel is the highest point in PV and it's so worth it. Sunset, sun rise, views from the pool -- we loved every minute. FOOD - I wrote a separate view for Eugenia (we loved it). We had breakfast as well at the hotel most days. It's included with your booking and delicious. Each day the offerings were slightly different. We avoided the American options (pancakes, etc) and stuck to the Mexican food. It's buffet style. I loved the fresh juices and pan dulce available daily. AMENITIES - My husband really enjoyed the spa. I didn't get a chance to go. They book up fast, FYI. The pools were all enjoyable, even at night. We came in November and the weather was perfect. The rooftop pool closes at night though so the restaurant can open for dinner service. OVERALL - We loved our stayed. We felt safe, even when coming back late at night. The hotel is very secure. All of the staff was super friendly. Most were fluent in English & were nice enough to let me practice Spanish with them. The location is not walkable - you will need a taxi everywhere. So worth it for the view!

They Grand Miramar is beyond gorgeous and was a lovely place to stay for the a long weekend. I stayed here for a wedding and thought it was a hotel at first and didn't realize that it was a resort! Right when we went to go check into our room, we were asked to be seated in a beautiful waiting room with an amazing view and were offered a cool scented towel with some water which was real relaxing after our flight. We definitely got White Lotus vibes everywhere we went! Our room was great as well, it included a king sized bed, a large sofa, a bathtub with jets and to our surprise, a fridge and dishwasher! We stayed on the 8th floor in the C tower and the view was even better than the lobby. We couldn't get over the view and every day we were enjoying the scenery for hours. There were two different pool areas to relax in, the bottom floor has a few different pools with plenty of chairs and cabanas. The top pool is for adults adults only and they served some of the best Mexican food I have ever day. I highly recommend ordering the shrimp and steak tacos. The view from the very top was also great and we enjoyed some drinks with along with the view. Customer service here is phenomenal, all the workers were very attentive and accommodating. We always had a drink coming our way when we were near empty. On checkout day, we were able to check out later at noon but our flight didn't leave until 9pm. They were very kind and let us enjoy the pool area until we had to leave for our flight and let us keep our luggage in the lobby (well protected) when we were exploring downtown. I would definitely come back to the Grand Miramar on my next visit. It's such a gorgeous place and an inexpensive Uber ride to the downtown area. My experience here was beyond amazing!

This place is a hidden haven amongst the chaos. Sitting high above it all, it provides unmatched ocean views. But the real reason this property is getting 5 stars is because if it's full service spa. Conveniently located to the Zona Romantica it provides high quality services in a luxurious atmosphere. A combo hard to find in old town. Complete with wet and dry saunas, the spa's masseuses know how to compliment the luxury facilities with luxury techniques and skills.

the most beautiful yet cute hotel!!!! only 15/20 mins from the city & my when I tell you it's so worth it! Not only are the views absolutely incredible the staff & ambiance of the hotel make my heart so happy!! Service is top tier & the free breakfast is to die for!! Taxis provided by the hotel are available with a 5 min request & over all just an amazing get away/family/romantic/fun/relaxing/ place!!!!

Rooms: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Food: 3.5 stars Ambiance: 6 stars The views from this hotel are incredible. We booked the Master Suite, which was a great decision. We had fantastic sunset views every night, and loved our balcony tub. We had room service a few times, which we found serviceable. The adult "rooftop" pool was fantastic - and food service there was good as well. Pool cocktails were fantastic. Overall, service was great - staff knew our names and were always quick to help. We also booked taxi service via the hotel to and from the airport, which worked great.

Fast forward a couple months later, we're here and trying it out.... First off, location is AMAZING. Literally right in the heart of the Romantic Zone. Everything is literally footsteps and minutes away. You have the beach a few minutes walk down. As well as the well known Los Muertos Pier. Restaurant one after the other next door to you and across the street. Not only that, bars are all walking distance. Either at the corner or half a block away. Even though it's central to everything, it wasn't crazy noisy. Check in was a breeze. We got dropped off with uber. It's a one way street so it made it simple but parking is tricky there if you're driving. Right when you walk in, that's where you'll be greeted with the beautiful color crochet canopy. We arrived early and were offered early check in and late check out with our booking status. Not only that, we were offered two rooms to choose from and to top it off. A beautiful welcoming with a bottle of wine. Property is pretty much lined with plants and flowers surrounding the area. I believe it's three maybe four level. There is a pool, it's small but does the trick for a boutique hotel. Sun lounges around it as well as on an upper deck for sunbathing. There's a massive mango tree that's right in front and does offer fruits which are left out for anyone to take. Check in was a breeze, with the sweet lady that was working. They do have a lock and safe box in front private room. It was 300 peso deposit and you receive it after you return the ticket slip at end of visit. Same as beach towels, believe it was 200 pesos deposit. Room itself, pretty basic as it's a boutique hotel. Affordable which was nice. They had Airbnb similar but this visit we didn't want to have to do everything ourself. Hence a hotel with housekeeping. Big king size bed with a sofa/futon. Bathroom was basic with a shower. Sink was small. It does need some renovation but did the trick. You have complimentary toiletry which was just basic. There wasn't an iron, blow dryer or safe in room. Traditional Hispanic vibes decorated the room. There's of course ac and a small tv mounted to the wall near ceiling. You're able to connect to your streaming channels from your phone. We did have to figure out how to change the language preferences. Overall, rooms do need some updating. Property was beautiful with all the lush plants and flowers. Courtyard with the beautiful colorful canopy and tables outside. Decent pool for lounging, it's not that deep. There's a community fridge and kitchen area. Power did go out for a bit which left the tv unable to come on but we were heading out for the evening. Minor glitch. There is construction a couple doors down but didn't bother us as we were out majority of the day. And a restaurant literally right next door for breakfast and lunch. Would I stay again, yes. It's a nice friendly affordable place. Perfect location for everything. Had all the necessity, safe which can be utilized in private room at the lobby. I'm sure dryer and iron can be brought up to room. But the stay was great.

There is a jigger there if you are making yourself some thing so you can be exact on what you took. In the afternoon when there are a few guests enjoying the sun, they do have someone actually coming around to the pool while you are in it asking if you would like anything. They have a Jacuzzi that is available that is right on the river. One just needs to ask them to turn on and give them a half an hour to get it at a perfect temperature. It was a bucolic woodsy setting with birds chirping and the sporadic rumble of motor scooters below us. The entire hotel was decorated to the hilt with eccentric bric-a-brac that must surely reflect the eclectic taste of the owner. The hotel's homey vibe extended even to the house cat who had its own Victorian brass bed. We took advantage of the complimentary margaritas available upon arrival. But after seeing some of the mixed feedback now, I was honestly surprised. It seems like this place can be very hit or miss. Thankfully for us, it was definitely a hit. We were there for three nights, and overall had a great experience. Our main complaint would be the food, which we found to be mediocre overall, though there were definitely a couple of standouts. Next time, I'd skip the buffet except for the freshly made stations, which were the only part consistently worth it. We really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Tamari, and the fish and shrimp tacos from Blaze were so good we had them twice during our stay. On the other hand, dinner at Blaze was unremarkable and we were disappointed with the pizza and zeppole from Melanzane, though we didn't get to try anything else there. I do wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore more of the dining options, though based on what we experienced, we may not have missed out on too much. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Rafael at the club lounge bar and Lizbeth at reception - both were a pleasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also surprised by the size of the gym and the variety of equipment. I made sure to get at least one workout in and really appreciated the incredible ocean views while doing so. We visited in February and never felt like the resort was overcrowded. In fact, some restaurants seemed surprisingly empty at times. One thing worth noting: they have pickleball courts and a basketball court, which we didn't see advertised anywhere. We would've packed our pickleball gear had we known, but fortunately they provide equipment you can borrow. They also offer activities throughout the day - we mostly enjoyed the evening bar shows. I'd definitely recommend downloading their app to keep track of the schedule and access other helpful hotel information like menus. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and a strong positive experience for us. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dining experience didn't quite match the rest of the resort. While the food could be more consistent, the friendly staff, beautiful setting, amenities, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.
