Overall a great job! I had gel nails that were SUPER thick and the previous salon didn't do the best job. They were delicate in removing the old gel and did a great job this time. They are really thin and unobtrusive, there are no visible mistake and did a great job on my cuticle. Overall very happy with my nails and few days later.

I heard about this place from instagram and comparing their prices to prices in the midtown area they are a lot better! I usually get a gel pedicure and dip on my nails and i was excited to try out this place. The reel recommended that i have Leo do my nails. I called on a Saturday to see if they had any availability but i was told that they were moving and would only be taking clients on Wednesday. Due to seeing the work Leo did i was willing to wait until Wednesday to get my nails done despite how bad they were. I spoke with him on the phone and told him i wanted him to do my nails and he said okay. We made an appointment and he told me someone else would do my pedicure but he would do my manicure. Wednesday comes and i arrive on time for my appointment for him to tell me that the wait for him is 1-2 hours! Leo said pedicures usually take about an hour to an hour and half. So i said okay because i was starting with that. I'm finished with my pedicure thinking it's my turn for him to then say there was someone ahead of me! He then told me another 1-2 hours since he had to take the person who was ahead of me. I heard that she was also waiting for an hour before getting served. I expressed to him that this was unprofessional and he should have said something when i had called earlier to confirm their address. Another lady ended up doing my nails because i couldn't wait any longer because i had to go to work. What i originally wanted they couldn't do and i ended up getting done what i took a picture of. Lastly when she finished my nails she put a gel top coat which i haven't had done with dip and that top coat is chipping two days later. I'm not happy with the manicure service i received but my pedicure came out nice. I didn't like that they charge you $8 extra to scrub your feet smh. I wouldn't go back here

gel x is different everywhere i go, but cece's work has been my favorite so far. took only an hour, great price, and she knew what she was doing. ATM inside, clean environment and not too crowded or overstimulating. highly recommend this place if your looking for simple nails!

Salon is very good better than your regular salon!!! I've been going here for 3 years. Leo is my favorite!! You have to make an appointment for Leo!! He always takes his time on my nails! He knows what he's doing!! My pedicures are great!! They make sure to take off all the callus!! Overall 9/10!!!

    Dirty pedicure chair.

Salon is dirty first of all. Especially for covid. Didn't take temperature. Didn't see any chairs or stations cleAned. Really wishing I just left. Really quick, and not great pedicure when you want relaxation and care. If you don't buy any extras they don't put any effort. Massage was literally 30 seconds. Also got Acrylic tips and it was so rough. They are uneven, and I was cut pretty badly. Was left with acrylic all over my skin and no lotion or hand massage. Bare bones and rushed for an empty salon. This was my second time here and the first was just a bad. Not sure why I have it another chance. Do not recommend.

Im not one for a negative review, this is my first one. My nails were a mess, my technician was rude when I asked for another coat. Very unsanitary. They don't properly clean or wipe the pedicure chairs and they "spray" their tools and put the.m back in the drawer. Your hands are directly dipped into the dip powder. I gave a 20% tip because I received a service but never again. Flight takes off in a few hours no time to go back.

Typically, I'll come here because they do a consistent job. But today I may have experienced the worst mani/pedi to date. I decided to do the spa pedicure (mistake on my part). Nothing special comes out of it except a sloppily applied mud mixture on my leg. The pedicure was horrible because the person Mary barely scrubbed my feet. As soon as she saw callouses and I wasn't going to pay the $6 for "callous removal" she spent a total of 3 minutes scrubbing both feet. What in the world? 3 minutes? I didn't pay for a "spa" treatment to get 3 minutes of time on my feet. I literally told her to do another around which was still insufficient. Moving on to the gel manicure. This woman spent half the time looking behind me and not at my nails missing the nail and painting on my skin. She ended up doing 10-15 minutes of rework. Once it finished I stilll had gel nail polish all over the edges of my nails. Sloppiest job. Just because you're about to get off work doesn't mean quality goes out the door. I even showed up well before their closing time. To be rushed and get a bad job for what I paid was very disappointing. I typically prefer grand nail salon but today's experience may turn me to somewhere else.

Color changing mood gel - so fun and the same price as a regular manicure :)
    Emma G.

Grand nails is my favorite nail salon in the neighborhood. The price is right, the people are friendly and they do consistently good work. The wait can get long, especially after work or on weekends but its worth it in my opinion. Some tips: -The up sells are never worth it here, stick with what you need/want. -They have color changing gel for the same price as regular if you're in the mood to switch it up :) -The loyalty card here works slightly differently in that after 7 trips you get a free eyebrow wax or 10 minute massage.

I was so excited to go here after COVID and after reading some good reviews about Leo I thought I could ask for a basic design. This turnt out the worst manicure I have ever got. Acrylics are uneven, bumpy and very thick not properly shaped. The design is even worse I asked for a simple flame design for two fingers I don't even know what I got instead. And I paid way too much. I would not recommend at all. Don't go here. Find what I asked versus what I got below.

I came into this place by accident. This is my 2nd time going there. Even though I live in Midwood (closer to the Sheapshead Bay side) I still come here! The pic I posted is from French Acrylic tips after 5 weeks! Now it's starting to come off & look at the rhinestones how they are still there! None popped off! And to also mention I'm a mom, who cooks, cleans and does everything hands on so it's very rare for my tips to last me over 2 weeks! Love this place! Wish it was closer

    Basic Mani ($9), Regular Mani/Pedi ($23)
    Rucha D.

I wanted to place an honest review for this place, since most disgruntled clients seem to have taken to Yelp to share the bad experiences they had here. I have come to this salon a good amount of times since it's very close to where I live, and I can tell you that it's the place to go for a fast and efficient experience. It could lack professionalism, but each time I come, I usually don't spend more than an hour or so getting a regular mani and pedi because the staff is very accustomed to their jobs. No, it won't be perfect. No, you can't expect a big level of quality at all times. But you get your nails done for a lower price than more places in the area, and you get what you pay for, essentially. Regular Mani/Pedi: $23 without tip Regular Mani: $9 (seriously) Try to come during the times that it can be slow, because this place can get crowded fast after 9-5 work hours during the week, and early afternoon on weekends. The staff won't push you for additions to what you are already getting, and they are all just there to do one thing: your nails. If you can treat them with respect and kindness, you will get the same in return.

    Aiesha T.

Took my tween daughter for a Friday evening mani-pedi. The salon was full, but we were seen quickly. She had a the traditional pedi with extra 10 min massage and I had the spa pedi. The staff was friendly, professional, and did a great job on both of our nails. I have a gel manicure and this is pretty much the best mani I've had. This is now our new go-to spot. Sorry for the sucky photo!

favorite nail spot in BK, have been coming here for years. there's plexiglass separating customers now. always leave happy with my mani and pedi! I usually go to Leo, especially for design but have gotten my nails done with other techs and they all do a great job. these are just some of nails i've got over the years.

We showed up at the wrong location and they waited for us to essentially start 15 minutes later. I appreciated that. The Williamsburg location was more spacious and seemed newer. The Greenpoint location seemed cozy. My technician was Elena and she was really sweet. The tools seemed to be thoroughly sanitized and the filer seemed to be brand new, which I appreciated. I think the price is around $60 plus an extra $5 on each nail that has a design. Total was probably around $70 not including tip. I tipped Elena $20 because she was so sweet, she was amazing. I wanted something classy but glitzy and chose a pinkish color and a shiny glittery one. At the last minute after the gel mani was almost done, I asked for some designs. I think they didn't have the type of crystals and add ons that I really liked but opted to do two nails with designs anyway. I chose a dry flower design and three crystals. The technician was very patient but I don't think they had the proper tools to pick up the crystals. The tweezers weren't pointy enough to apply the crystals so it took some maneuvering but it finally made it on. It seems like the 3D designs aren't commonly done here. The final result I am decently happy with. We also got a quick hand massage and 5 minute back massage so that was a nice add on. My short stubby nails seemed to be elongated with the way my nails are shaped. I absolutely loved the glittery polish, I should have done all my fingers with this instead of the pink color. The 3D designs are okay, not the best and the flower fell off after 3 days, so I wouldn't recommend doing 3D designs here. My friend had a complaint about the nails and we were able to work with the owner to get her nails redone, so the service is quite good. If you have any issues, I recommend contacting them immediately to see if they can do something for you.

That is a huge plus for me. They made sure you were comfortable. What I loved about this place was they have a Cafe inside. Who doesn't want to sip a chai or cocktail while getting a pedicure? Lol. Their cafe prices were very reasonable. As far as the service, my technician was extremely nice however the service wasn't worth the money at all. I regret getting my nails done because that is something I don't play with. I regret not going to my usual nail salon that is pretty much perfect. I just felt like taking a drive and trying a new spot. I won't return. My nails were mediocre and there was dried gel polish on my skin that I removed in the car. In my opinion, a technician sees your hands and they have a light so to be honest I shouldnt have to correct much, but that's my opinion. My toenails were okay as well. I've had much neater and precise paint jobs on both my gel mani and regular pedicure. It has been four days and I definitely have a some chip polish on my fingernails. Cute decor. Cute area. Parking wasn't bad either. Salon clean and you can choose to have your services done in their garden area or inside. Update: nails didn't even last a week. Was chipped and peeling.

When googling around I saw they had this service listed on their website. I just recently moved to a building two blocks over so I stopped by to make an appointment to have them removed. Everything after that was chaos. They had no idea what I was asking for and treated me like I was doing something shady or weird, when it's a listed service on their website with a price and everything. Halfway through the service, they asked if I also wanted a manicure. I repeated what I told the woman at the front desk: my nails beneath the extensions are too weak and damaged from all the fill ins so I want to let them grow out a bit, but I wanted to have them filed / trimmed / shaped etc once the extensions were off so the would at least look clean. They told me this would cost extra. I gave them some side eye because that should be part of the price but told them that was fine. At the end of the service, the woman told me I was done and could go. I was shocked. My nails were a mess. Not trimmed, not neat, with edges literally cracking and hanging off. They didn't charge me for the clean up service, but I couldn't believe they were going to send me on my way with nails looking how they did, super damaged and ugly. I went home to finish the job myself. Additionally, they treated every other customer who came in way different. Other girls were offered little stools to put their bags on while mine was put on the floor right next to old nail clippings etc. Even if it wasn't for the terrible service, I wouldnt go back for the poor treatment alone. I was treated so strangely for asking for a service that they say, per their website, they offer. Luckily, primp and polish is only a few blocks away. I've been going there ever since. The space is clean and bright, the staff are friendly, and the prices are comparable. I will never return to nail of the day.

They had so many people come in and they want to attend all but it's only three females working and all shuffling around each other. Literally all three woman did different things to partake in doing my nails and still they came out so bad. I'm not one to complain because I just feel so uncomfortable having to do so but even if I did I couldn't because they had already started working on 5 other people they said yes to while only being 3 workers working ! So I would've needed to wait even longer to get them fixed. My thumbs were two different shapes. And my nails just looked so bad they shaped them in like 4 minutes all my 10 fingers which I feel takes time but they didn't bc they all rushing and just taking on more than they can so my nails were all just not shaped or buffed out and smoothed out at all. Making the shape look so bad from the sides as you can see. And then the paint job was awful! It was so bulky and looking like waves on my nails which you can see in the pictures and especially on the sides how bad it all looks. I left so sad and defeated because I paid $60 for this job and left a tip to make it $70! Just to come home and remove it all. Then the past months I get a gel manicure on my nails very simple manicure of just gel and they start chipping within 5 days never did it use to do that but three times I've gone and that's what I ended up with so it's time for me to just not come here anymore they gone so downhill
