My grandma referred me this place because she says that they do a great job on her nails. Once I got there, a male nail tech attended me. I told him I want a manicure and pedicure. Since he sent me down, he's been on his phone nonstop for four hours that I was there not once did he stop being on his phone to pay attention to what he's doing to my nails. Then for the pedicure, it was a lady now I'm not sure if they understand the difference between extreme hot, regular hot water or warm water or cold water, but could not tell the difference but that water was extremely hot I do not recommend this place none whatsoever. I love this place. Erica and Amy are two of the nail technicians I've had the pleasure to be a clients of. This salon has over 300+ colors and styles, great staff and friendly neighborhood locals. I've been here only twice and I'm now addicted. I got good vibes from everyone who worked here. The prices are also great. You can't beat it! Young guy who runs the place took me first to remove my previous dip manicure but was constantly stopping to scroll on his phone and reply to texts which I thought was super rude and unprofessional. Next I went back for a pedicure - water was cold and was the laziest pedicure I've ever had. Was given the powder colors to choose from for my manicure and I asked if I could do chrome powder on top. They both began telling me how terrible it would look because they can't do chrome on top of powder because they need gel to cure it, otherwise it'll chip. I let them know I've gotten upwards of 20 chrome manicures in my life and have always been fine with chrome on top of dip powder with a layer of gel top coat to cure. They fought me until the guy finally said "Fine, you can have that if you want but it's going to look bad and we're not going to fix it when it chips. If that's what you want, fine." and stormed away. Should've saw that coming by the weird signs on the wall that say they absolutely under no circumstances will fix a chipped or broken nail after you've left the salon (weird and feels like a lazy scheme to do poor work on purpose). I asked again when we sat down to begin the manicure if they were sure they were comfortable with the chrome situation and they said yes. Right as the woman began to dip my nail into the base of the manicure she quietly said "By the way this will be $80 total". I assumed she meant mani + pedi, so I said "oh yes for both services?" and she replied "no for the nails". I immediately pulled my hand away and said "What? So you're charging $40 for just the chrome powder? How is that possible, it's just a powder you rub on at the end, it costs max. $25 every other place in NYC." and she just stared at me dumbfounded. I chose a different color and said no to the chrome, leaving shortly after my manicure was done. Last time I was here I had a subpar experience but decided to give it another shot. I would give this place no stars if I could. I came here on a recommendation. My friend suggested that I ask for Annie and reviewers on Google recommended Erica. As soon as I walked in I was asked by Sam if I had an appointment and I replied that I didn't. He told me that I would need to make one and come back, so I told him that it wasn't a problem and to just let me know what was available and for when. He then tells me to leave and come back at 5pm (same day) but when I looked at my phone it was almost 4pm so I told him that I would just wait. He tells me to sit in the back, and I let him know that I have both powder and gel on my current nails and that it would make sense to start having them removed while I wait. Duh?! He tells me that he'll be back in a few minutes. Once I sit in the chair he uses the machine to start removing the gel color off my nails and cuts me. When he cut me I moved and dude tried, TRIED to catch an attitude with me by telling me not to move because he could cut me. LOL. Are you kidding me. I tell him that the reason why I moved was because he cut me and that he better not cut me again. I also told him that if he was going to be working with people that he needed to not only be patient but learn how to speak to people. He was unprofessional and rude. After the color is removed from my nails I thought that he was going to wrap my nails for removal of the powder. Nope, I had to soak them. In the one hour that I had my nails soaking not ONE employee came to check on me. After the hour wait Erica came to ask me what I wanted done and I told her that I no longer wanted anything done and she caught an attitude. Again, unprofessional and rude. I just started laughing. I don't tolerate any form of disrespect especially when I'm paying you to do a job, that's not how it works. I honestly don't recommend anyone coming here when there are so many other pleasant nail salon businesses in the surrounding area. I don't care how inexpensive they are in comparison. I rather pay more for a positive experience. Never again. Worst nail salon ever, EVER!!! read more

This is my go-to nail salon. It's walking distance from my apartment & has free WiFi. I was so glad to see they reopened, as i was in DESPERATE need of a spa pedicure. They've completed prepped, as you now have to have an appointment for all services, they enforce mask wearing and sanitizing upon arrival. They've even remodeled for proper social distancing. I feel completely comfy with the new setup. I now i have an ongoing two week pedi appointment with Ming-who's AMAZING!!! Thanks again Sam and Erica for always making me feel like I'm at home!! This place is terrible! This is the first time in my life I didn't tip on a service. If anything they shudve paid me! I now need to go somewhere else to get my nails redone!! The worst manicure i ever got! My nails were so uneven! One side wud be a point and the other sloped in. I never saw such a thing. I actually grabbed the file twice to fix them myself. She left my cuticles a mess too. All frayed! They looked better before i came in. Not to mention one of the sides of the barely working drying machines didn't work at all. Listen the nail salon is clean and has many different gel colors amazing. But the lady (I didn't get her name)was finishing up my gel manicure but noticed one of my fingers were painted poorly. I asked her nicely if she fix it but she gave an attitude and blamed me for not putting my hands fully inside the UV light? Well excuse me you expect me to squish my hands inside? Don't blame the customers. I never speak up about how my nails look or if it's needs an extra layer but I had enough! She was rude. I felt embarrassed. Horrible! On Saturday, 9.21.19 the nail technician cut my finger, it was bleeding. All equipment looked dirty and old. She put the antibiotic ointment on it, the bottle of the ointment was dirty and dusty, she also pressed hard on my finger to stop the blood. Totally unprofessional. Ive been coming to this nail salon for years but lately they have been acting stuck up. Many have attitudes and there is very much favoritism. If you decide to go here expect to wait long. I'm not a fan of the other employees work except one other girl named May. I asked her how many people she had a rudely shouted to me NO! I cannot do and dismissed me. I felt so disrespected!
