They can't return a phone call or answer a message. I have left messages the last couple days with no call back. I still feel the same as I have for the last 3 months. All I hear is take this. I have been told this one procedure to look further in is really invasive and really expensive. Apparently, I don't look like I can afford medical care. I am clueless as to why I can't one of the medical doctors. If I could the appointment would probably be months out. The need to make multiple other appointments to get a referral for a specialist is a rip off. If you want a specialist appointment you have to make an appointment with your regular doctor to get a referral. After that you can only see the nurse PR actioner several times before you can see the MD DOC. If you make it that far. If you need to make a road trip to Denver for medical care I would do that.

A few years ago, I was seen here by Dr. Bowen while experiencing severe flu-like symptoms. I also had a bite on my arm that appeared a few days before I became very sick. I specifically showed him the bite and asked whether it could be related to my symptoms. His response was "No, I think you just have COVID. Go to City Market and get a test." I was then sent out the back door. Why he couldn't test me there I have no idea.... I followed his instructions, got tested elsewhere, and the result was negative. Dr. Bowen was rude, dismissive, and made me feel uncomfortable, as if my symptoms weren't valid or worth taking seriously. Over the years that followed, my health continued to decline. I became progressively sicker. It has since been confirmed that I have chronic Lyme disease. Luckily I had taken a photo of the bite and when I showed the physician who diagnosed me with Lyme the same bite I had shown Dr. Bowen that day, they confirmed it was consistent with a Lyme tick bite along with proper testing. Had this been properly evaluated at the time, my illness may have been caught early and treated before progressing into a chronic, life-altering condition. Instead, I am now living with a lifelong disease that could potentially have been prevented with appropriate medical attention. The dismissal of my symptoms and the failure to investigate a possible tick-borne illness had serious and lasting consequences for my health. I cannot believe this is my reality now. I hope this review encourages more thorough evaluations and genuinely patient-centered care in the future, because what I experienced here was dismissive, incompetent, and a complete failure of medical care.

On way back, guy on right side of road did a u-turn *right in front of me*. I was going highway speed & had zero time to react. Totalled both cars. I was injured and concussed and needed to go to hospital. It's weird how when brain sprained you can't advocate for yourself. This is foreshadowing, and by the way Steamboat Radio your hospital should be ashamed of itself. The dogs disappeared into the Unknown before police arrived, thanks to help from a stranger. At the hospital, they did CT scan, found nothing--was soft-tissue injuries mainly--so they discharged me. One problem: I could not walk without crutches, had ribs bandaged due to "cartilage fractures," had bruised liver, and a concussion. Also, I had no shoes. The hospital called a taxi, paying for the ride, and told them to drop me off at the library. Which they did. So, I was on crutches, wearing hospital socks and no shoes, dazed and confused, sitting at the library only hours after a major car crash. I really like my physician, Dr Harrington, but his office informed me they will no longer allow the staff to give me monthly allergy injections. They said I'd have to find an allergist to do those. There are no allergy docs within 1-1/2 hrs!! I was shocked! iI takes all of 10 minutes a month for a staff member (no dr needed!) to shoot allergy serum in my arm that is premixed and I bring to Steamboat with me? When your physician's office makes you feel like an inconvenience vs a patient, is it time to move on?
