This place ruined my life. Whoever runs this facility should seriously reevaluate who they consider a doctor and whether they should even be allowed to offer healthcare at all. A few years ago, I was seen here by Dr. Bowen while experiencing severe flu-like symptoms. I also had a bite on my arm that appeared a few days before I became very sick. I specifically showed him the bite and asked whether it could be related to my symptoms. His response was "No, I think you just have COVID. Go to City Market and get a test." I was then sent out the back door. Why he couldn't test me there I have no idea.... I followed his instructions, got tested elsewhere, and the result was negative. Dr. Bowen was rude, dismissive, and made me feel uncomfortable, as if my symptoms weren't valid or worth taking seriously. Over the years that followed, my health continued to decline. I became progressively sicker. It has since been confirmed that I have chronic Lyme disease. Luckily I had taken a photo of the bite and when I showed the physician who diagnosed me with Lyme the same bite I had shown Dr. Bowen that day, they confirmed it was consistent with a Lyme tick bite along with proper testing. Had this been properly evaluated at the time, my illness may have been caught early and treated before progressing into a chronic, life-altering condition. Instead, I am now living with a lifelong disease that could potentially have been prevented with appropriate medical attention. The dismissal of my symptoms and the failure to investigate a possible tick-borne illness had serious and lasting consequences for my health. I cannot believe this is my reality now. I hope this review encourages more thorough evaluations and genuinely patient-centered care in the future, because what I experienced here was dismissive, incompetent, and a complete failure of medical care. read more

This place is a scam! You call in right before you go in and get asked a couple "questions. " Which is what they do, they pick and chose who they want. The person with the best insurance, or cash payment has priority. Once you get past the front I went to a room. You'd think I was pregnant which amount of questions asked. Or perhaps buying a car would be easier than coming here for Care. Then the "el jeffe" at least he thinks since he's a "doctor" more like a Plummer. Lol. Dr. Samuelson came in with a horrible attitude and bedside manner treated me like I'm some druggie off the street lying to me saying ibuprofen is a narcotic when it's not he's just not the right doctor please stay away from him! I visited this hospital when I got injured by crashing into a tree stump at Snowmass mountain. My right shin got a cut around 2-3inch wide and it was deep enough to see some muscle. I needed to stitch the cut. However, Snowmass urgent care was about to charge me way over my budget since I didn't have any insurance. I visited hospitals and clinics around Aspen. Aspen Valley Hospital was very affordable even for people who don't have insurance. Doctor Seymour is friendly, courteous, cheerful and most of all a very competent professional. He is someone you can ask anything without any doubt. After he analyzed my cut very carefully, he explained me well about the condition and the process of surgery step by step. Doctor Seymour and his assistant Annie saved me from getting panicked (the cut looked so brutal then...) It's been two days and I'm coming to check up right now. Took my teenage son here while we were visiting Aspen and I could not be happier with the service. We went on a Sunday afternoon and he was seen immediately. Dr. Joshua Seymour was on duty and he was very professional and empathetic. Michelle, the nurse was also very helpful and professional. She quickly started an IV and he got some hydration and was feeling much better by the time we left. Everyone from the front desk on was very friendly and helpful. If you are in the area and need some medical care, I would strongly recommend coming here instead of the ER (although I am sure they do a great job too - let them deal with the real life threatening stuff!) read more

Very pleased with the care my one year old received at Basalt After Hours Urgent Care. He was seen by Dr. Seymour and Tiffany was his nurse. They were both very professional and helped my little one feel better in no time. Not happy at all with the bedside manner at this facility. The front desk staff was cold and unwelcoming. The nurses were sweet. But the doctor, Elizabeth Tai, was not helpful in the advise that she gave me based on my diagnosis. It felt like she just wanted to get out of the room and go back to whatever else she was doing before. In fact, she told me to google the side effects of the basic medication that we were discussing, when she wasn't able to answer the questions that I was asking her. Are you kidding!? I was very upset by the diagnosis (crying), and she was not empathetic and very cold. I've never had a worse experience with a doctor. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 star review is because the nurses were sweet. read more

This place is 100% rubbish. Rude employees who don't know how to book someone into the computer even. There is zero empathy or feeling of "care" while coming here. You are much better off going to the Aspen Valley Hospital Emergency Room, because long story short- I have never seen any health care provider act and treat people like this. I couldn't disagree more with Sally's review. We were visiting Snowmass for vacation and our son got sick and didn't seem to be improving, so we ended up at the facility. We couldn't have been happier with how we were treated from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The gentleman behind the desk was very helpful and patient. The nurse very friendly and thorough. And we were very impressed with Dr. Tai, who asked good questions, listened well, and was very patient with our son (and us). They even called a prescription in to the pharmacy for us so it was ready and waiting when we arrived. I highly recommend this facility if you need off-hours medical care. read more

The staff at this medical facility provided outstanding care after a my bike accident. They provided personable care while diagnosing and kept me awhile to determine that I was ready to release. They also went out of their way to find us a way back to our hotel in Carbondale, which was a problem since we did not have transportation.
