Some friends mentioned the size of roast beef sandwiches to me so I decided to check it out......Wow they weren't kidding. I ordered the Super Beef and it is rightfully named, I had to eat half the roast beef with a fork dipping it in my barbecue sauce before I could eat the rest like a normal sandwich. It was delicious! The curly fries were good too. The bartender was prompt/friendly. My JD & soda was good. I love the pizza joint atmosphere & prices are very reasonable. Although, I didn't get any pizza I saw a few come out of the kitchen & they looked pretty good. As a 1st visit, I give 4 stars. read more

I love the salads here! you can get grilled spinach and nuts and fruit very good! My go to is the turkey club they use fresh turkey and lots of tomato's fantastic! They should actually have called this place "The NEW Grand Slam Pizza" since the place has been completely redone including management and owners. Walk in and its new and nicely modernized. Flooring, tv's, the works much nicer than before. Staff was very chill and friendly and made a couple of suggestions. We had the Greek Fries which was like Greek poutine so instead of crispy fries with gravy and cheese curds, they had Greek dressing and Feta. Absolutely perfect with just enough dressing throughout the crispy fries to keep them tasty but not soggy. Followed that with a hamburg and mushroom pizza. Cooked just right with a nice crunch to the crust. The only issue I would have with the pizza was that it maybe needed more sauce. Otherwise it was pretty good. Is this place a must go to spot? Ehhh....but certainly no complaints. I hear the roast beef is excellent so we will give that a shot next time by. read more

Tried Grand Slam Pizza - Grill & Bar yesterday for the first time. The vibe was great, music made me not want to leave (started with the bartenders play list, then customers started playing on the Touch Tunes). The food was absolutely outstanding. The roast beef is what got me there, but the steak and cheese my husband got will definitely bring me back. Perfect amount of cheese and not a single chewy fat piece of steak. I could have gotten 3 meals from the Big Beef. I can't imagine how big the super would have been. The bartender was doing all the bartending and waiting tables and not one time did we have to wait for anything. Even though it is on Main Street, there's plenty of parking. I wish I had taken a picture, but I have to tell you that the chicken cutlet sandwich is as good if not better as King Cutlet inSalem, New Hampshire. The sandwich is huge, cutlet is crispy, lettuce and tomato fresh. The roll was sweet and soft. Definitely will be trying the Chicken Parm. read more

If you chance it, get the food to go, but be warned, I asked twice for their generous roast beef sandwich with very light BBQ, and it was flooded with it. I have been ordering from grand slam pizza for years. Their food is good, the wait staff was nice and they always took care of our needs since my husband's ordered this salad that is complicated. Recently we haven't been ordering from them because since the pandemic they have gone way down. Not only have they run out of multiple food items but the disrespect from staff is absolutely disgusting. Today we decided to give them a call to order since I was hungry at 9:00 and they were open and close to my house. This order just proved my point, they were out of breaded chicken, grilled chicken, not making pizza (like wtf) you are a pizza place, so we were fine with that but then my husband goes to order his salad. they are out of provolone and when my husband said you don't have provolone cause he didn't hear the woman the first time she said in a rude tone "we just don't have it" I was listening to the whole conversation and told him to hang up, I said she is being rude and it is way too late for me to deal with her. Long story short we decided to order from T-bones instead since they know what customer service is. Super Disappointed and annoyed with this place Ordered takeout tonight. The delivery guy argued with us at the door because the slip said cash but I paid card over the phone. They also sent a Sunkist I didn't order, but the guy made us stand there in the cold while he called the store. Then we open our food and my husbands calzone is awful and my sub was wrapped in a paper plate that I had to peel off of it. My order of fries was so small. This place caters to a very shady group of regular clientele. There are fights that occur from time to time. I went in and wanted to order a soda water and food. An angry drunk person wanted to pick a fight. I decided to leave and have not been back since. Patrons have told me that They sell drugs at this location. The 4 stars I posted for Grand Slam should be thought of as the average of 3 for the food and 4.5 for the bar. The food is very, very typical Greek pizza joint stuff, just like you find in most "House of ..." places. Yes sometimes I crave it, but not very often. Pizza, subs, fried apps, etc. It is never great, but never bad. Grand Slam is the closest bar to my house. I'm not a big alcohol fan. I probably drink on average less than three times a month, mostly with friends over dinner (in or out). Once in a while I just want to go to a bar and usually one close to my house. I have been into the bar at Grand Slam probably 10 times over several years and I have to say that although the crowd gets younger the later it gets, I have always found the service to be excellent and the patrons to be accepting of the older (mid forties) guy and his wife - and no - my wife and I are not generally the only "older" people there, but we are in the minority. The jukebox always provides a new experience in music for us. Not dance and generally not hip/hop or rap. Sometimes a song I recognize, old or newer, is playing. Most often the music playing is some new fusion of head banging rock, punk and hard rock. What I like is that unlike most places you can easily hear the person talking to you on the other side of the table and your waitress. The shooting (which reviewer Ryan C. brought up) I read about I think was random. One of the too many that happen in Manchvegas on too regular a basis. Maybe I should move, but so long as I don't, I won't stop enjoying Elm Street, where it seems most of these shootings happen, nor will it keep me from occasionally dropping into the bar at Grand Slam Pizza. Grand Slam has delicious pizza and a decent bar scene. It is def. described as a dive bar. Lots of smokers and cheap beer. The crowd can get a bit rough (There was a shooting here in April '07). Bar crowd is mostly populated by white 20 somethings who enjoy rap music and dress like it. read more

So let me tell you about my experience today with Grand Slam. I order a large pepperoni with feta. It get here in a timely manner and my delievery driver whom i see alot delivers it no problem. I open it up and i dont know what they did to it but it was cream of pizza on one side so much goop and cheese it was ridiculous. So as this not being the first time its happened which is ok once and a while it happens so i call them back assuming someone is going to send me a new pizza and take the old one. I dont know i think the girl working was new or something maybe highschool hasnt started back up yet because she honestly looked like she should be doing some homework but she doesnt tell me she will send me a new pizza. infact she says she cant do that. So now im in a whole new world of pissed of so i went in there and yepp went off the handle abit and gave them their pizza and demanded my money back and the highschool age tween stomped off swearing saying i wouldnt get my money back. at which point the cooks came out and tried to calm me down and then the manager finally showed up who was totally understanding and listened to my rant and then refunded me my money because at this point i dont want to eat there. so in conclusion. Grand Slam = Normally, the best pizza in town. High school age cashier = Shitty Customer Service. Delivery Driver = Cool ass dude Manager was cool about it so i think they need to do some retraining with their cashier. im giving two stars because customer service is really important to me. read more
